The young woman slid the generator back into place once the ringleader appeared. Rosie smiled a bit when she saw a panther rolling around an antlered young man. How adorable! She wondered if the panther would let her pet him.

She shook her head and brought her attention back to the ringleader. "My name is Lavender Rose Andrews, but please call me Rosie." How had the dark haired woman known her name? No matter. "I would like to join one of the circuses, and I wanted to find out more about this one first. Is it alright if I do that, spend a few days here before making my decision?" She didn't want to step on any toes.

She smiled at Jay and Midori. She'd been a little too distracted to talk to them properly before, and felt bad for it. It as a welcome distraction from having to talk about her lack of knowledge about herself.

All these people, they could very well turn into her family, one she might choose for herself.

Exiting the tent, a hand went up to adjust the glasses. The feeling of a hangover on the mind was slightly different for eveyone. He had been inside the mind of a few hung over people before, and it was not something he particularly enjoyed. Many seemed to shift to more...lewd demenor when hung over or drunk. For the man walking out of the tent, his hang over consisted of a dull ache that pulsed through his head like a heart beat. It was less than before, but the ache still made things around him more annoying than usual. The sound of a familiar voice made him glance up. Everard comented on his state, causing a flicker of a frown to tug at the right corner of his mouth. Instead of speaking what popped up into his head, he gave a wave of his hand, as if brusing the comment off. He walked closer to the other, gently lifting a hand to trail it along his chin.

"How cute of you to show your concern...but I can handle Pipper" he smiled a bit, "what's the fun in life without a little danger?" Another passed by, the smile that was given from him was met by a slightly arched brow from Nexus. The other was a pain, the male did not seem to get along with anyone much here. That was fine with Nexus, he was not there to please everyone. Stepping past Everard, two more seemed to be on the same destination as the others. Not surprising, he guessed it was about time for people to begin being more active for the day. However, with each passer by, they were hindering his movement away from the tent. These two were girls, those who bordered on something that crawled out of a Jekyll and Mr Hyde novel. Nexus was a bit curious at times, perhaps to take a peak into the minds of something so dark. It might have been interesting.

There was a certain danger there that made it enticing. However, such a thing could also lead to trouble. So as they to said hello to him, he gave a playful smile in their direction, before taking the opportunity of silence to slip off from the tent fully. Alone finaly, he ran a hand through the bangs of his hair. The strands lingering a bit, before he let them fall back in place. His other hand slipping within the pocket of his hoody, he barley paid attention as he walked. However, he rarely needed to pay attention to certain things. Information was still being sent passively by his senses. A heightened mind like his able to sort through that information and keep him on the right path. It did help that he could find his way around this place even if he was blind, since he had been with them for awhile now.

He found his way to his tent, slipping inside. His path led him to a table that had been set up, his target sitting upon it, something that might have and had weirded out others. He tossed his glasses onto the table, before picking up a jar. Within, a perfectly preserved eye floated about. The iris a beautiful emerald green. Nexus gently tapped upon the glass with a polished nail, a smile forming upon his lips. He had never given hint to as where it came from when asked, only that he had acquired it before coming here. Nexus had a darker side, a thing for eyes, and tattoos. Sitting the jar down and removing his hoodie, the ink that covered his upper body was more readily exposed. His body was a temple, as well as a canvas to him. Though such reasons behind it were like him, more of a mystery.

His tent carried a light scent of earth with it, lavender and pine, that gave it a relaxing quality. It helped, this was one of the few places he could unwind and relax. He kept his tent a bit away from the others, to increase the silence within. Off to one side, a blanket had been spread out, a candle within a gothic style holder sat within each corner. Kicking off his shoes, he moved over to sit cross legged in the center of it. A box of matches to the side, he slid one out, and flicked it against the side to light it. Soon the tent was lit with a half glow from the candles, and he blew the match out. Releasing a breath, he allowed his body to begin relaxing. Eyes closed, he pushed everything from his mind and became still.

___________

Klaus' eyes followed after Nexus for a moment, before he picked up the mug left behind by the other. The tent was not silent for long, as others began to make their way inside. The form of his sister remained seated, her eyes focused forward, towards the other side of the tent. The first to make contact with him, was Shee the Beast Master. Klaus turned his head, as the other made contact. He seemed to both compliment his music, while slipping in a bit of an insult as well. It was oddly sweet, the other attempting to be kind for the moment. He gave a smile, nodding a bit to the other. "I did not mean to bother anyone if it did, but I am pleased to hear that some did in fact enjoy it" he spoke, before his eyes moved to the pair who followed close behind this man.

Nihssa and Narissa, bowing before him and speaking their question. Every person within the Apltraum Iluzia was unique. They had their flaws as well as their good qualities. Though for a circus that focused more on the darker aspect, these flaws and dangerous things were more of what the people came to see. They could not fully know what was truly lurking within, but that was also part of the fun. "Dobroye utro krasivyye ptitsy" he greeted them, giving a light bow of his own in return. His attention flickered for a moment to the breckfast he had been starting to prepare. Each had their own individual tastes, some liked hearty meals, while others prefered something sweeter. "Whatever you care to indulge in this morning fair maidens, you need only ask" he chuckled lightly, things and tastes were always shifting. It was important to have a good meal though, even in this business.

They would need their strength, for what was to come. Keeping the audience on their toes required sustinance. Allowing the girls a moment to decide, he moved to the table to begin setting out plates and silverwear. There were things that had been prepared ahead of time, such as rolls and of course coffee, tea and other beverages. They were free to choose what they desired, as well as to ask for something specific if they desired it, just like the girls. For a moment, he lingered by the form of his sister, gently brushing a bit of hair from her cheek. The form did not move, no reaction or warmth from her during the action. He was not surprised, since he was well aware of what she was and was not in reality. However, there was still affection and warmth from his side, which had caused him to take the time to perform the action.

"Dazhe samyy kholodnyy led mozhet rastayat' s sil'noy dostatochno teplo, chtoby napravlyat' yego" he whispered to himself, his mind for a moment seeming to leave the present, slipping into a ghost of a memory. A dull ache began to spread through his chest, which was odd. A soul bound to a puppet's body, he never felt physical pain. However....his soul was another thing. As odd as it was, it was not unfamiliar. He still held sadness and pain, connected with memories and dreams that had long since withered and faded into history. Lingering upon them would only make the ache remain, as well as distract him from what needed to be done. He pushed the thoughts away, before returning to his work.

Everard never knew how to react to Nexus. The brunette half-smiled at the other man's gesture, and worked very hard to keep his mind closed off. Telepathy made him uncomfortable. He always kept his mind closed. Always. That was about as much as he knew to do with his own abilities, even tough he knew he could do more.

The sword swallower preferred his flames.

He shook his head and walked into the tent. The silverware alone made his stomach grumble. The tall man ambled over to Klaus. He really couldn't deal with the twins right now. They creeped him out, and he needed to work doubly hard to keep his mind from wandering off around them for some reason. "So, what delicacies have you cooked up today, Klaus?" The puppet man seemed a bit off, then again it was hard to tell.

Meili was quiet, that ghost of a smile still on his lips as he stood near Adira, his gaze had traveled to the faun once Euriphuim had moved over there for a belly rub. A soft breeze touched Cole, barely enough to stir his hair, and only for the briefest of moments before it was gone. Meili's expression had changed slightly, as if he were thinking about something, but then his attention quickly snapped back to the women near him.

It was something Rosie had said that had regained his attention. The breeze that constantly surrounded him, barely there and only felt if one was very close to him, seemed to pick up just the slightest bit. His hair moved a bit more, caught in that breeze and some folds of his clothing seemed to move a bit more as well. Meili was still calm though, apprehensive, but calm. He eyed Rosie now with a bit of distrust, and disapproval.

Would she play at being their friend and then betray them all by joining the other circus?

Meili did not approve of that kind of thing and no longer wanted to be in this tent, so when Asha moved, with her arm looped in Cole's, Meili moved to follow. That gentle wind around him quickly returning to it's natural state of very subtly teasing around him.

Near the outer edge of the circus away from the other personal tents sat a larger personal tent with two smaller ones right beside it. This was the tent of the Apltraum Iluzia’s ringmaster Alberich Pfeifer and his live-sized doll, Freja. The other tents belonged to his servants Nathanial and Katrina. They acted as his eyes and ears around the circus and from time to time as his spies over at the Faina Iluzia.

The faint haunting violin music caused the tall man to smile. Music was one thing he enjoyed. His silvery blue eyes watched as his dear Freja danced to the music. She seemed to be in a good mood and lively. Freja was similar to Klaus, yet different as she didn’t have as much free will as the boy did. There were other differences as well. The music slowly faded and the doll moved over to Alberich’s side. He slide his arm around her petite frame and walked with her over to the round table that sat on the one side of the tent. Unlike the others the man would stay in his tent for breakfast. The pair took their places at the table. Pfeifer went over some paper work as he waited for Katrina to bring him breakfast.

Nathanial was already out surveying the ground to make sure there were no intruders and that everyone was getting along as best they could before show time. Katrina on the other hand had her own task. It was her turn to go get breakfast for Master Pfeifer. As she walked along she took a drag on her pipe. Blowing rings of smoke in the air as she walked along. Her bushy white tail swaying behind her. When she passed Nexus she gave the man a grin and wink. Not that he would take much notice to her. Entering the mess tent she greeted everyone. “Morning lovelies. Things going well on this fine evening?”

The woman gave Klaus a smile. “When you have the time Master Pfeifer would like the usual for breakfast.” As she waited she took a seat away from the others, knowing most of them didn’t like her due to her closeness to the ringmaster. Not that the woman cared. Once Pfeifer could not pay her for her services or someone made her a better offer she would move on.

[Cole's status: Visible to anyone; memorable to Asha and Adira (once he walks away, he will likely be forgotten by all)]

Cole's gray eyes flickered over Midori as she approached, a soft smile on his lips. The fortune teller was an interesting sort. Often had Cole watched her to see what she was like. Her familiar was usually right beside her. With a slight tilt of his head, the faun shifted his position so he could see everyone instead of just Rosie. Now he was alongside them all, watching at a distance.

A familiar beat of paws caught his attention. Swiveling his pale ears toward Euriphuim, Cole immediately locked his gaze on the panther that circled him. A surge of joy moved through the faun. Adira was here. Just like the others, Cole saw her as a mother figure: she was the reason he still had any semblance of sanity left. The ringleader's kind demeanor and acceptance brought Cole more comfort than any of the others had the ability to. She, of all the circus members, always saw him. She always saw; always remembered.

Cole slowly looked back to the others, his usually neutral expression flickering with a hint of elation. Thanks to Euriphuim's antics, many of the others could see him now. He was "more real" to them; more memorable for the time being. The faun knelt to scratch the panther's belly. This beast had been a friend to him ever since he'd joined the circus. Flicking an ear, Cole continued petting the feline until he heard Adira's voice as she greeted Rosie.

Curious as to how the scene would turn out, Cole was satisfied with standing there to wait as the strong woman had her questions answered. What kinds of questions did she have, if any? Was she staying? Was she nice?

A soft breeze met his skin, and Cole tilted his head as his attention was drawn to their knife thrower. Was that Meili's doing? If anything, the faun reveled in the feeling of the gentle wind. It was real. It always felt more real, like he really did exist. It helped calm the pale youth by convincing him that not all life was a dream.

His thoughts were snapped back to reality when he realized someone was standing nearby. With a start, Cole watched Asha the Acrobat kneeling to stroke Euriphuim. His gray eyes were wide as though he might dart away at any given moment. Rarely did the others get so close. Cole did his best to stay out of their way, and was not comfortable with much close contact. The silver-haired girl's question made him hesitate.

He awkwardly stood, not sure how to respond. Did he want to go make breakfast with Asha? Not particularly. Did he want to say no? Not ... particularly. Cole's ears swiveled to the sides as he hesitated. His uncertainty faded the moment the acrobat slid her arm into his and began to pull him along.

"I-I ... well..." Hadn't the newcomer, Rosie, just mentioned why she was there? Something about joining one of the two circuses? Why was breakfast more important than this?

She was touching him. The faun's wide-eyed gaze locked on the tent ahead of them as they walked. He was tense - ready to bolt, really. Once or twice he nearly stumbled over his own feet, but they reached the food area before he had the opportunity to actually trip. Cole had calmed slightly by the time they arrived. Perhaps it was the mixture of humming and feathered wing that brushed against him? He hadn't noticed Meili following, otherwise his apprehension and skittish behavior might have returned in full force.

Shivering lightly, Cole let his gaze lock on the arm linked with his. It was awkward, and continued to be so as the faun pulled away slightly. He was uncomfortable, but didn't want to be rude....

Faie followed behind the Ringmaster and Knife thrower silently. She couldn't deny her curiosity. She entered the tent just behind everyone, and hung to the back of the tent while Adira talked to the girl. The Girl was quite cute. 'Rosie' she thought to herself. 'A strong woman, now thats an act we don't posses. Might bring in some customers from the Alptruam.' Faie watched her family. The Musician and the Panther. The Acrobat and Fortune Teller. Faie always enjoyed thinking of her family in their roles. Names were important, but in the Circus everyone has a role to play. She herself was just a Fire eater.
Faie did frown at her own thoughts. Was thinking of her family in those terms, a learned trait with age or something she's always done. Even this Rosie, she has thought of already as the Strong Woman without even knowing if Rosie would stay with them. Wanting to compare the Circus', why? Why even go to the Dark Circus.

Cole shifted in the corner of her eye. Glancing over Faie saw that Cole seemed slightly uncomfortable, as Asha linked arms with him and lead him out of the tent. A small smile tilted her lips. She felt sorry for Cole, but it would be good for him to become more comfortable with the family.

Claudia made her way to the Apltraum mess tent. Her little stature makes the short trip take twice as long. Years of practice made her ability to dodge feet a breeze, not that she still wasn't a little worried about the possibility of being stepped on. Being the smallest attraction she had a difficult time getting around, and she resented it.
Entering the tent she saw Klaus, Shee, and the Naga Twins. Giving a curt nod to the other performers, Claudia made way to her...special table. It was the same as the others but with a ladder up the side for her to climb. On top of the table was a miniature table and chair with a tiny tea set.
By the time she got to the table top Claudia was exhausted. "Would someone please help me to my seat. I'm afraid I don't think I could move another step.." she grudgingly admitted, shoulders slouched in defeat. "I need to find a better mode of transport around the Circus."

Out of the corner of her eye Adira saw Asha come into the tent and stand by Cole and Euriphuim, causing her to smile slightly. It was good she was taking Cole with her and with a push of her magic she told her panther to go as well.

A loud rumbling purr could be heard by everyone as Euriphuim got his belly scratched by Cole and Asha. He turned into a kitten when he was petted and everyone knew it. When Asha started leading Cole away he looked to Adira and got a push of magic from her sending him running out of the tent. He came upon Li first and as he went by he rubbed his body against his side. Then he ran forward and slowed to a walk at Cole’s side, lowering his head and pushing it into his hand. Usually panthers were about 2 feet tall at the shoulder, but Euriphuim was larger than normal. He was about 4 feet tall. The panther could sense Cole’s uncomfortableness so he leaned his large body into him as they walked.

Adira listened to the girl, keeping her face impassive when all she really wanted to do was frown. She wanted to spend time at the dark circus also and then pick one? She was going to have to talk to Rei soon and ask her what she saw about this girl. The sorceress was pretty good at reading people and Rosie seemed light, not dark which confused her. Why in the world would she want to spend time at the dark..

Smiling softly Adira inclined her head to Rosie. “That is quite alright my dear. We would love to have you stay with us for a bit before you go to Alptraum Iluzia to decided which one fits you better.” She glanced at her family before motioning with her hand to exit the tent. “How about we all go to the mess then and get some breakfast. Asha just left to go start cooking. Rosie can ask everyone questions there and after we’re done eating I will have someone show you around the grounds.”

She placed her arm through Rei’s and started walking out of the tent, pulling the fortune teller along with her. “Come now everyone,” she sang. Under her breath so no one else could her she whispered to Rei. “After breakfast meet me in my tent, we need to discuss her.”

Did the Alptraum Iluzia send a spy? Rosie seemed honest but Adira was always weary. She had to be as the protector of Faina Iluzia. But she would never turn someone away, not if they had light in their heart and Rosie did.

Smiling the girls waved in unison to Shee. “Quite well thank you Shee,” they sang before turning their attention to Klaus. Neither twin looked at Everard, he didn’t really like them that much and they were still pretty normal so they would leave him alone for now.

Klauses Russian endearment made the twins giggle and raise their hands up to their mouths. They had asked him what the saying meant long ago and they both loved it. Klaus was probably their favorite person at the circus besides Piper. “Can we please have some bacon, toast and scrambled eggs?” They both of them poured themselves tea, adding in two sugar cubes before sitting down at a table.

It wasn’t long before Katrina walked in. Without even looking up they waved at her as she sat down. The two of them were silent, sipping their tea. It was always the silence before the storm with them. Most would be able to recognized the slow shift.

Then Claudia came in and made her way up the latter to her tiny table and tea set. Getting to their feet the twins picked up their tea cups and walked over to her table. Narissa sat down, taking her sisters cup from her. Ever so gently Nihssa picked Claudia up and placed her next to her chair, pulling it out for her. Even in their darkest hour the twins were nice to Claudia. She brought a sort of softness to their dark hearts.

“Maybe we can have someone build you a bike? Or I could charm a snake for you and you can ride him around?” She said while sitting down. Narissa stayed quiet, sipping her tea.

Everard spoke up, earning a glance from Klaus. He asked as well, what there was to eat. "Was there something you preffered?" he asked the other man, each member having their own tastes. He did not mind being the one most of them came to for their meals. He was actually quite happy, that they enjoyed his cooking. It was one part of being 'human' that he had been able to retain. Growing up, he had often been the one in charge of cooking and taking care of his father and home. The man so busy, that if Klaus had not, the man would have most likely never eaten. The thought made him smile lightly, memories were one of the few things he had. Though, they were so old, that holding on to them was becoming more difficult, though others he could pull up as if they had only happened yesterday.

He was sure some would say that perhaps it was better to forget, he knew there were those who were trying to escape their past. He on the other hand, was on the fence about it. There was the bad, but there was also the good. His past helped to make him who he was, it was a part of who he was and where he was going. Katrina entered then, turning her attention on him. His eyes followed the woman for a moment, before she spoke to him. Pfeifer wished to have his meal. Klaus inclined his head, in a slightly respectful and thoughtful way, "as he wishes..." He was closer to the ringmaster than some here, the reasons for this spanned back years. He was not one to speak much about it though, knowing some were never to happy about certain favorites tendancies.

He began to occupy himself with what was asked of him, diverting his thoughts from memories and other distractions. A little voice reached his ear however, causing him to glance down at the little figure now joining the group within the tent. He felt closer to the little one, for they shared a similar form. However, hers was more delecate than his, and his size was easier to manage with the world than hers. He watched as the twins helped the little one out. He smiled at her, wishing her a good morning as well, as she was placed where she had asked. The twins had made up their mind, giving him their order as well. His eyes moved to them once the little one was within her place.

He moved back over to the preparations, nodding in response to their desire, "kонечно мои птички." It was effortless, step by step, preparing things he had long since become familiar with. He was able to manage a few dishes at once, keeping care to not let them burn or spoil. It was rather pleasant to see the others in one place, without an argument or tension rising, at least for the moment. Perhaps it would stay that way. He thought for a moment of going to visit the head of this dark circus after making sure the others had been well fed. He had something he had been wishing to speak to the other about, but he did not wish to bother him. For now he would focus on the cooking, things could wait till after.

[Cole's status: Visible to anyone; memorable to Asha, Euriphuim, and Adira (once he walks away, the group around Adi will forget him entirely.)]

Quote:
"Visible" = seen, but unremembered. If you see Cole, he's like a fragment of a dream. Usually you can't see him unless there's a specific reason for your attention to focus on him.

"Memorable" = Unless you have spoken to me about a specific allowance, you will not remember past conversations, past meetings, nor seeing him. You will not remember Cole's name, nor his face. On occasion, it's like meeting someone new - again, and again.

If I've spoken to you about it, then some of you can able to recall his name, his appearance, or a quality about him. Some lucky few may even harbor brief, shallow memories of Cole.

As they walked Cole felt a familiar warmth press into his hand. The faun's gaze shot down to Euriphuim as the panther rubbed against him, and he eased slightly. The pressure of the creature leaning against him made Cole lean back slightly, and he realized that he was officially stuck between Euriphuim and Asha. For a moment, he looked slightly claustrophobic.

The faun's white ears flicked unhappily, but when Euriphuim's head brushed against his hand again Cole calmed. Honestly, Cole was only a little more than a foot taller than the panther. It made for interesting rolling situations, and often Cole was overwhelmed by the beast's size.

Cole took a slow breath as he walked between the feline and Asha, surrounded by fur and feathers. Somehow, it was ... calming? He still looked apprehensive, and a bit worried. Perhaps there was sadness in his gaze? The faun's ears slowly lifted to a mellow position as they walked, though his unease still lingered in his tense movements.
-

The hauntingly beautiful sound of music drifted through Apltraum Iluzia as the morning began. The violin lilted pleasantly, playing a tune that was both familiar and toyed with the edge of one's memory. A song like that could belong to none other than Nightingale, the circus Puppet Master.

Drayth listened in silence, pausing his work. His hand hovered over what appeared to be a sleeping dragon. The little creature was curled tightly, no bigger than his palm. The illusionist let his gaze grow distant as Klaus' violin carried on. It faded suddenly, or perhaps Drayth's attention was snapped back to the dragon before him. The small creature uncurled from its place on his desk and bit at the man's hand, leaving a deep gash that dripped sticky droplets on the desk.

The illusionist's violet eyes passed over the blood without worry, and he let a slight frown mar his features. Another failure. It was beginning to happen more frequently. It wasn't that his illusion abilities were failing him. Oh, no. Glyph the Illusionist was never one to fail. No one had noticed the dip in performance, for each of his illusions were so realistic that they were real. They were varying levels of reality to everyone. No two people saw the exact same thing - it was one thing that made Drayth so good at what he did. His illusions weren't just smoke and mirrors. His illusions were lies. His illusions were twisted reality - and if you believed in part of it, then that part became real. The truthful parts were so easy to build upon.

The dragon, for example. Drayth knew it wasn't real. The blood, the impression of pain - if he believed they were real, then he would have been wounded. He was immune to his own twisted truths, however.

With a slight frown, Drayth watched the miniature dragon hiss and begin to squeal in pain. It twisted, writhing and spitting flames as agony wracked its scaly form. There was no hint of emotion as the illusionist watched until the beast stopped moving, its cries dying out. Pressing his interlaced fingers to his lips, Drayth slowly lifted his gaze. He looked over the organized shelves and tomes, his thoughts wandering. So often he surrounded himself with the objects of his study. Why couldn't he find the answers he sought?

Drayth's lithe form stood, and he flickered from sight momentarily. When he left his tent, he was glad to know that from the outside it still appeared little more than half its size. The illusionist knew that the inside of the tent was large, and he'd gone through great pains to ensure it was quite different in its outward appearance.

He paused, then moved toward one of the more secluded tents. He knew this one. It belonged to Nexus, the Apltraum Fortune Teller. Drayth tilted his head slightly, pondering whether the other male was inside. The lightest flickering of light against one of the canvas sides made the illusionist incline his head. Yes. Nexus was there.

Drayth appeared inside the tent quite suddenly, his lavender eyes lingering on the tattooed man. The silence continued as the tall illusionist sat cross legged just outside the blanket's edge. Of the many performers in Apltraum, Nex had caught Drayth's attention early on. When Nexus had first joined the circus five years prior, he'd been a child - or, a child in the eyes of a creature who'd lived for centuries. Even then he'd been a curiosity. He was still a mystery to Drayth, who found the lingering sense of unlearned knowledge intriguing.

Watching the fortune teller, the elven creature remained calm and silent. Not even the slightest of breezes had followed him into the tent, though Drayth assumed that Nexus had seen him coming ... with or without his abilities.

When it became clear that Nexus was ready to speak, Drayth began. "A Fade spirit." It was ... a game, if you will. The illusionist wanted to know of Nex's race. He wanted to know. Every so often, he'd come with another guess; he'd listed off the most common races and creatures within the first few tries. Now, it became difficult to find one that fit Nexus' description.

The raven just smiled. Yes, she knew the girl’s name, that she had super human strength and that she would be visiting both circuses before choosing one. The woman had foreseen her arrival weeks before. As for which Rosie would choose she did not know yet, but she had a good feeling that the girl would choose the light. When Adira’s hand patted her shoulder she tensed slightly. The fortuneteller never knew what to expect when someone touched her or she touched them. Midori relaxed when nothing happened from the touch.

While standing there by the ringleader she felt eyes on her. It was a feeling she often got, yet one she couldn’t figure out why or who caused it. Glancing around the woman gave Asha and Cole a smile. They were petting Euriphuim. The silver-haired girl led the boy who seemed to be uncomfortable out of the tent. More than likely they were heading to fix breakfast. Midori’s pale lavender eyes fell onto Meili as he exited behind the pair. A frown tugged that the corner of her lips. It was to be expected though. Each of them had their own thoughts on the new comer and the fact she wanted to visit both circuses before making a decision.

Her attention turned back to Rosie and Adira. It seemed their ringmaster had made her decision on the matter. Rosie would be staying for a while. The raven seemed to be happy with this as she smiled. “Breakfast sounds like a wonderful idea. I’m sure that Asha will have something wonderful waiting for us.” The woman let Adira pull her along with her as she exited the tent.

“Yes, come on everyone.” Midori sang along before chuckling. At the redhead’s hushed words she gave a light nod. “As you wish my lady.” She whispered quietly so the others wouldn’t hear. She walked alongside Adira, staying close to the woman’s side. While they walked she was seeing both what was there and what was not. Getting small glimpses into the other woman’s past.

Chance's tent was placed further away from the others as he liked his privacy and it helped to keep them safe from him. He also knew that they did not completely understand why he kept more to himself then interact with them. That was alright with him, he didn't mind being alone, it actually soothed him in a way that even the fortune teller could not understand.

The dark haired male, yawned and stretched as he moved out of his tent, heading to the one that was often used for showers. For he had done it again. Woke up covered in blood that he had no clue where it had come from. The last thing that he needed was for someone to see it and then question him about it. How was he suppose to tell them that he had no clue where it came from. That he killed things in his sleep. No, it was best to wash the evidence away and pretend that it never happened to begin with.

Once he was scrubbed freshly clean, he tied back his hair as he made his way towards the animal tent to feed his animal family. He whistled slightly as he finally opened the flap, smiling at his family that soon surrounded him. If anyone walked in at that moment they would have just heard a bunch of animal noises coming out of him.

He was talking and interacting with his darling companions, oh how he loved them greatly. He petted them, hugging, even kissing the top of their heads as he passed out their meals. Animals that normally do not interact with each other or that normal eat each other were getting along and not ripping each other apart. This was his family, this is whom he constantly shared his living with. At this point in time, he was unaware that Cairan was on his way over.

As the pair walked the young woman looked over at Cole. “Feeling any better now?” She hoped that getting him away from the others would help his uneasiness, but the faun still seemed to be uncomfortable. This fact made her frown slightly and fall silent. Glancing back she noticed that Meili was following them. She always enjoyed the breezes he created. In a way they were comforting and gave her the feeling she was close to remembering something that she had forgotten long ago. Yet whatever that memory was still remained out of fallen angel’s reach. “What would you like for breakfast Li?”

Entering the mess tent she unlinked her arm from Cole’s. Asha hummed lightly as she went about gather ingredients for cooking. The way she moved about the kitchen area of the tent it was almost as she was dancing to the tune she hummed. Before long the acrobat started to sing the song she had been humming. It was one that she felt fit the circus as people often came to regain their lost childhood.

It was clear that she was quite at home within the kitchen. One thing she enjoyed was cooking especially for her family. Within moments she had coffee and a variety of teas brewing along with several glasses filled with juice and milk sitting on the table where she would place the coffee and teas when they were ready. Asha put a tray of muffins in the oven before turning to Cole and Meili. “Would one of you be a dear and put out the silverware and plates for me?”

Asha had to be the woman with feathered wings. Petite Rosie bobbed up to the tips of her toes, before sweeping into a quick bow. She smiled at Adira when she rose from her small height. "Thank you! I really do appreciate it." Maybe now she would be able to find out about her strange abilities, where they had come from. She wasn't sure the light circus would have the answers...

Shaking her head, the young woman bounded off like a gazelle. Her stomach grumbled, demanding to be fed. Soon she was entering the mess tent, not even sure if it was the mess tent. Of course the tables made it seem so, but she didn't want to assume.

Rosie settled down in one of the chairs, pushing down her voluminous skirt and wondering why she'd decided to wear a crinolin that day. Right, because she'd wanted to show up in one of her ballerina-esque dance costumes, so they would know what she looked like when performing.

She wondered if any of the three in the kitchen area would come over and talk to her. She didn't feel entirely comfortable going to any of them.

(I'm assuming the kitchen isn't hidden from sight, if it isn't so just tell me and I'll edit that little bit)

Claudia gave a small smile. "Thank you Nihssa. Thank you Narissa." Claudia took the girls kindness, and sat down, arranging her dress so the skirt flowed perfectly around her feet. After placing a handkercheif on her lap, she poured herself a tiny cup of tea. "I'd be too scared of falling off unfortunetly. I heal but it itsn't painless."She took a sip. Just perfect, plain black tea. Claudia always thought Klaus did it, but she could never garuntee, her tiny teapot was just always full when she required a cup. "Klaus if you would be so kind, a bit of toast would be lovely. How is everyone this morning?" She rubbed at the ball joint that was her wrist.

Nexus focused on his breathing, allowing the world around him to fade away. It was something he did often, it helped to clear him of past things, weather it be visions or simple annoyances. At the moment, he was attempting to relax his mind of the dull ache that danced inside. It had begun to dull further, but with it, something else rose. Nexus remained still, as in his mind, the world around him shifted. When he did this, his body faded, while his mind heightened. His focus was purely mental, which allowed his range and his abilities to increase. People he did not know moved around him, it seemed like some sort of gathering. They were talking, their voices like murky whispers one might hear if their head was under water.

He could have possibly heard them, if he focused more, but it was not really his intention to be getting sucked into...this. Possibly a memory or fantasy of someone who was off outside the circus, he did not know nor care. Minds were such a delecate and simple thing. Some dared to call Nexus' power weak in a fight...some of whom he had proven very wrong within the past. His mind had more control and range than others, able to tap into places that were unused in others. He could cause a person pain just by thinking about it, crushing them mentally, until all that was left was a vegetable. The scene around him flickered slightly, as his mind picked up a familiar presence. The mind of another, who appeared within the vision before him. But no, this was not part of the vision, this was another within the circus, one who he was familiar with.

The other was an illusionist, something that could be deadly itself. Nexus had a similar tallent, but his illusions were of the mind. Meaning, that he could manipulate the mind into believing it was seeing something that was never there, weather it be one person or more. Though his illusions only could truly do damage mentally...it was the people who did the physical damage because of them. This other, seemed to be walking a thin line of warping more of reality itself, something that indeed amuse Nexus. He had teased the other at times, not minding the thought of seeing what made him tick either, for there was definitely more than eyes let on. Finally, he figured he had let the other wait long enough, taking a slight breath. The scene faded from his mind, as he returned fully to his own mind again.

The other sitting before him seemed to take this as an invitation to speak, saying the name of another race. The man was persistent, playing this game he seemed determined to win. For a moment Nexus remained silent, before he allowed his eyes to open. In the darker tent and the candle light, his eyes might look more striking. The dark black deepened by the red, while the red was set off in the darkness. He lingered his gaze on the other for a moment, continuing the silence before responding himself. "I am afraid you will have to try yet again" he said, a slight smile lifting the corner of his mouth. A simple decline of the answer the other had brought him this time. What he was...it was something that seemed to entice a few around here. He did not mind it, it was kind of cute to watch the other try so hard to grasp at knowledge that eluded him.

To wish to know the unknown, was a simple hunger all races shared, no matter how strong they believed they were. A quest for knowledge could bring either power, or ill will towards those who sought it out. This man had been around awhile he knew, and it was no secret that he was very knowledgeable....but that knowledge and more had taken a tole upon him as well.

_____________

Aronbel

An early morning breeze ruffled the pure balance of nature. It created a music all its own, as it passed through the leaves of the trees. It was still early, but the male who sat upon a giant rock had long since been up. Currently, he was rifling through a dark brown bag that he had placed upon his person. Inside, there were simple things, he had spent the morning hours since he had awoken out here collecting. Herbs and various other things could be of use, if one knew how to use them. A bird fluttered overhead, causing eyes like the ocean to lift from the contents. A smile tugged at his lips, before the figure stood up upon the rock that had served as his seat. He streatched his arms behind his head, letting his muscles feel the affect of it throughout his body.

"Mmm....what a glorious day" he mused. A light accent would be held within his words, but not quite easy to place. He had not told those he knew fully where his home was located. Satisfied with his work, the male stepped off the rock and headed in an all to familiar direction. Home, or that is, what had been his home for the past year. A circus, no one would have believed that he would have allowed himself to become a part of such a place. He was known to be an early riser. as well as one with the inability to remain still for long. He could often be seen exploring within his free time, there was always something new to learn. To those within the circus, he was known as Aronbel, or more simply Bel. He was a man of magic, able to weild it to cast spells, illusions and more.

Magic was where his power and heart lied, magic was a large part of him. It had been since he was little, both thrust upon him and blessed to him. It depended how one looked at the situation. Bel was a man of a natural positive demeanor, not one to allow his world to be clouded in darkness. He took things he could not control as a challenge, a new adventure. If he did not give them a positive twist, he would have been overtaken long ago. Sleeping within the young man's body, was a beast of such darkness, that it would destroy everything if it was ever released. He had been chosen to be the Vessel for the soul and power of Orthros before he was born. To place such a weight and task on a child, to watch them grow with what such a task would mean for them.

He wondered how such things could be done. None the less, he had been chosen for the task. It was a challenge he had come to terms with, one he had vowed would never get the better of him. People took his position as both good and bad, which was alright with him. They could choose to fear the known and unknown, that came along with the path he was made to walk. He did not feel any ill will towards any of those who prefered to keep their distance, or who felt ill towards him. It was their choice, but he would continue to do his best to prove that such a task did not define him. The familiar tents of the Faina Iluzia came into view. He paused, placing his hand upon the trunk of a tree as he watched the beginnings of life stir within the area.

People were awakening, which would mean todays adventure was going to pick up soon as well. He felt a flutter of excitement within, followed by a chuckle from himself. Possibly one could see it as childish, how Bel continued to get excited about facing the day ahead. He made his way down, keeping his stride swift but not to fast that his excitement and happiness boiled over the edge. He headed towards the kitchen tent, where many gathered within for morning nurishment. As he pushed aside the fabric to enter, his eyes instantly registered four forms. Three ladies and a male. He gave a bright smile, placing a hand over his chest as his torso lowered into a slight bow.

"Good morning my fellow confidants" he chuckled lightly, before lifting the bag he had been carrying off his person. "A pleasure to see life at such an hour, a pleasant day this might turn out to be indeed" he placed the bag upon the table, before a light warm orange glow would come from inside. His eyes would move to it once more, as a familiar leather bound book would slip itself from the inside of the bag. Silver detail wove its way along the spine and the cover in beautiful ways, the book truly unique indeed. "There is nothing wrong with a good morning" he said, seeming to be speaking to the book. He turned his attention towards the other, as the book placed itself once more in front of his field of view.

He frowned ever so slightly, "yes, I am well aware of the time." The book flashed once more, getting far closer than Bel would like, causing him to take a half step back. "Alright, no need to get your pages jumbled" he brushed the book aside, chuckling. He moved over, preparing a cup of hot water. "Tis the day when I begin taking orders from an overgrown paper weight" he teased. The Scry not liking the comment, rammed itself into the back of his head. "Ow" a hand went to where the book had hit, his form turning a bit to look at it as it flew back over to the table. "A very heavy paper weight..." he took the cup to the table, retrieving a vile from his bag. Inside a clear liquid would be seen.

It was a sort of medicine, composed of special light herbs and magic. It helped to purify him and oppress Orthros within, sent to him every month by the sages. He opened the vile, placing a drop within the water. It swirled on its own for a moment, before the water within turned a silver color. Bel slid our a chair, sitting upon it and crossing his legs. He sighed for a moment, before lifting the cup to his lips. It was bitter in taste, but he had gotten used to it. Seeming to be pleased with the action, the Scry gave a soft glow before resting near him on the table.

Meili followed in silence, moving softly like the gentle subtle wind that blew around him. When the panther brushed against his legs, Li let his fingertips trail along the magnificent beast's spine as it moved past him to the faun. Li watched quietly, smiling lightly at the interactions a head of him. When Asha glanced back at him and asked what he might want, Li shrugged and gave her a soft smile. "Whatever you wish to prepare is good enough for me." Truly he had no preference, he never ate much anyway, but he did enjoy food of every kind and variety.

A soft breeze had moved forward, a head of Meili, gently ruffling the feather's of Asha's lovely wings, and lightly ruffling the back of Cole's hair. Though Meili didn't say anything to the faun, there was a thoughtful look in his eyes whenever he did look at Cole, as if he were trying to remember something. Meili wouldn't let it trouble him for long, in a place like this not too much surprised him.

When they entered the mess tent and Asha asked one of them to set the places, he moved immediately to do it. That slight smile was still on his lips and seemed to grow just the slightest bit as Asha's voice filled the air in the mess tent with song. However, when Rosie made her appearance in the tent, Meili's smile faltered and he eyed her with disapproval. Still, he moved about setting the places for their breakfast without a word.

[Cole's status: Visible to Asha, Bel, and Meili; memorable to Asha, Euriphuim, and Adira (the group around Adi will no longer recall ever seeing him there with Rosie.)]

At Asha's question, the faun's pale ear swiveled toward her. He avoided looking in her direction, blinking as he tried to clear away his hesitation. Adi was patient, and Cole knew that Asha was as well, but ... he wanted to speak normally for once. It was difficult. He had a hard time getting his thoughts together in a timely fashion, and the workings of his mind weren't set in the same orderly fashion that everyone else seemed to use. It was likely his trauma throughout childhood and his lack of social interaction, honestly.

"Better. I ... no." Bluntly honest as ever, Cole's soft voice gave his thoughts on how he felt now that they were out of the tent. The words weren't stubborn, or full of annoyance ... they were a shadow of oddly emotionless thought, and nearly monotone. It was blatantly obvious by his stiff form that he was still uneasy.

It helped that Euriphuim was there beside him, but it didn't chase away the complete terror he felt every time he had to speak to someone. Asha was a sweet girl, and her delicate features were pleasant - it should have been easy to talk to such a lovely thing such as she. But no. Not for Cole. Nothing like this was ever easy for Cole.

A gentle breeze moved over him, and the youth took a deep breath. It reminded him of many summers with the circus. It reminded him of peace, and when Cole glanced back to the knife thrower he tried his best to ignore the thoughtful look on Meili's face. Instead, he focused on how comforting the feeling of the wind was. He'd spent time with the other male in the past, though it was clear that the memories lingered in his mind alone.

The short youth looked less tense as his arm was released. Standing beside the panther, his gray eyes flickered over the kitchen storage. Cole's attention moved back to Asha as she hummed, her movements flowing with the music. He tilted his head slightly, ear perking toward the acrobat. He'd note the song, and repeat it later within his own act after some adjustments.

At the thought of helping with setting supplies out, Cole ducked his head and looked to Meili. One of you. So Asha could still see him. It didn't quite surprise him, but the faun did feel odd to know that her awareness of him was lasting for so long. When Meili moved to start setting the plates on table, Cole slowly went to grab the silverware. Perhaps he'd help until breakfast was ready. As usual, he made sure there was no place for him at the table - he didn't want to sit with the others. It was strange when they couldn't see him. He'd sit near the table, as he usually did. It was nice to just watch them as they ate, anyway.

Cole glanced up from where he placed a fork to see a familiar figure enter the tent. Bel, the illusionist, greeted them. A ghost of a smile flickered over the faun's lips in greeting, though he wasn't sure if he was included in the words. When Scry heavily rammed into the back of the blond's head. Gray eyes widened at the sound, and Cole's hand froze in midair as he was placing the next setting.

The male watched, still paused in mid-action as Bel sat down to drink his odd mixture. Cole had yet to ask about the silvery liquid, but he imagined it had something to do with whatever gave the illusionist his powers. Cole's ear slowly turned to follow Scry as it floated down softly, resting beside its master. Still watching, the faun slowly began to finish his task. When he got to Bel, he looked at the cup for longer than socially acceptable before tilting his head curiously.

"What is it?" He wasn't sure if Bel could see him, but if the illusionist didn't reply then he'd just move on to finish his work. Cole was used to people not responding, anyway.
-

Drayth waited patiently, his lavender eyes taking in the slow reaction of the other male. He expected the reply Nexus offered, and merely blinked in thought. "Fetch." This was human lore of old, a rarely known spirit - something that originated in Ireland. A Fetch was a doppelganger spirit that took the form of another when they were ill or dying. This mimic would imitate the dying individual, stealing their form and causing trouble with the friends of their "host." It was Drayth's subtle way of testing Nex's knowledge as well as saying his was irritated.

The illusionist let a slight frown crease his brow, and his entwined fingers lifted to press against his lips. Drayth watched Nex thoughtfully, looking at the blackened eyes and red irises with an intrusive gaze. "Perhaps you are a pride demon." With a half-quirked smile to match the other male's, the elf let loose a quiet breath. It was strange to him that he still had no answers. "I was sure there was some truth to the first one."

He'd tried to force Nex to reveal his race in the past by using illusions, but the younger male held knowledge and insight beyond his years. Drayth was unable to keep the illusions as convincing to Nex as they were to most others. Perhaps it was something to do with his job title - he was the fortune teller, after all.

Narrowing his eyes, Drayth kept his unblinking gaze on Nexus for a while before he gave a nearly imperceptible flash of fangs. "You are quite the mystery, aren't you?"

There was a moment of thought before the illusionist waved the moment away. "Queen to F4." Their game of mental chess was dangerously close to ending - it was likely going to be another stalemate. The last time Nex had won. Before that, Drayth. For little over three years they'd played their game - both of them - with guessing of races and chess. It was supposedly the only thing that kept Drayth talking to Nex. Rarely did they discuss anything else other than chess and the mystery that was Nex's race.

Zella stayed in her tent, unwilling to come out. Only a week earlier, she had joined Apltraum Iluzia. She liked her new life so far. She didn't even have to talk to anyone unless she was spoken to. Of course, she always preferred to go out of her tent when everybody else was inside their respective tents. She had only spoken to ringmaster Pfeifer once, when she'd applied for a job here. After that she'd spoken to no one else. That was the way she preferred it. But she realized that her way of living would not serve her well. She knew that being around people was an important survival tactic. She remembered her brother Felix. He was the one who had told her that. Being around people is important for survival, Zella. People may or may not be nice, but if you need help, they can prove to be a very good support system. Those had been his exact words. Zella smiled a little at the memory of her late brother. His death had almost destroyed her completely. It was only his inspiration that had encouraged her to move on with her life.

Deciding to meet some people, she went out of her tent. She noticed some of the performers sitting in the mess tent and walked over. Zella knew them all by name, but that was it. There was Claudia, Klaus, Shee and the Naga Twins. All of them fascinated Zella, although she never showed it. Walking into the mess tent, she tried to introduce herself to someone but got self-conscious. She stopped in her tracks and wondered whether coming here was a good idea after all. She's never made friends before, and it showed.

The brunette shifted from his seat and went to snatch toast from the table, filched it more like. He glanced at Klaus for a brief moment. "Tomorrow, it'd be nice to have fruit and syrup covered waffles. I'll help out." Statement and offer made, Everard waltzed away. He avoided the twins, and headed for the newest arrival at Alptraum Iluza. He couldn't quite remember her name ...

He hissed under his breath as he caught his mind trying to delve where it had no place. "Hey, little mouse!" Everard looked at the new girl. "Get your breakfast and come sit with me. No use just standing around, especially when Klaus is the one cooking."

Eyes weighed on her liked the ocean, pulling her gaze up to find out who was watching her so. She offered a weak smile to the teal haired man she found looking at her. Rosie got distracted when a messy haired young man walked into the tent, saying hello to everyone. Maybe she could go sit with him.

She watched as a floating book hit him in the head. Rosie giggled and slipped from her seat, very carefully. She was definitely going to sit with him, even tough she should have been pretty much horrified by what she was seeing. Instead the petite woman was already starting to feel at home.

When she walked over, she found herself standing beside someone nearly her height. He was smaller then her too, and had cute fluffy ears and antlers. She smiled. "Hi. My name's Rosie." She looked at the other pale haired man. "I'm going to be spending a few days here, before visiting the other circus so I can compare them and decide which one to join." She laughed. "Even if I already kind of like this one a lot." She just had to go to the dark circus, for information.

Klaus was focused upon the food, hearing the voice of the little one coming from behind him though. Seemed she was hungry as well, his head turning in her direction for a moment. He gave her a smile, nodding to her, "it would be a pleasure." The presence of a new person within the tent caused Klaus to look over at the entrance. It was the new flower, by the name of Zella. She seemed to be a bit nervous, her eyes on them as she entered. He thought of pausing for a moment from his cooking to ask her if she desired something to eat, or to make contact, when Everard spoke up first. His comment about him being the one cooking brought an arch to his eyebrow. Was that meant as a compliment or an insult?

He did not linger upon the thought, plating the given order for the twins, followed by the leader's. Smiling at the twins, he gave a light bow as he handed them their plates. Katrina was next, moving over to place the dish before her. He had made sure to cover it, to keep it warm for the other man on the way back to him. He caught her eye for a moment, but remained silent. Words would be no use here, so he refrained from saying anything at all. He would allow Zella to come to him, pressuring her could only cause problems, at the same time, he did not wish to be as....forward as the other male. He returned to the station of cooking, placing some bread on to cook as the female Claudia had asked of him.

As it toasted, he cleaned up the dishes and such used from the other meals. He prefered to keep things neat and tidy, making a mess only meant someone would need to clean it up. If it was to big, or he refused to clean it, someone else might have to. That was not what he was about either. It was a gentlemanly quality of him, or so they said. If he made the mess, he was inclined to clean it up. Once the toast was the right way that the female prefered, he removed it from the cooker. He smiled, turning to the little one. "As you asked my dear" he chuckled lightly, placing it before her.

Nexus' eyes followed the other's movements, however few they were. When he spoke the Ireland creature's name, his smile lightly grew. The other was not to happy about being told he was wrong, though he was not showing if it bothered him to much. That was alright, Nexus was not looking for some big and bold showing of the other's unhappiness. He continued on to ask about another rase, before saying that he had thought the first might hold some truth.

Nexus lifted a hand, letting fingertips tease one of the candles upon the edge of the blanket. "Tsk tsk, you should know by now it is not that simple..." his eyes moved back to the other, "your facade is slipping a bit more than usual....careful not to lose your place." It might have been a comment on one of their little games, or perhaps of something more, but Nexus would not out right say it. He stood, leaving the other to remain there. His words about him being a mystery followed him, as he moved towards the table.

"A mystery....." he chuckled, "I thought you liked a challenge....you must want this information quite badly, otherwise you would not still be playing. Ammusing is it?" His hand moved to the jar upon the table, that held the eye. His eyes upon it, as he lifted it, his eyes upon it. He was toying with the other a bit, and he had little doubt that the man would know it. His next words were one of a game of chess. It was something they played often, alongside this little game of who is what.

He pondered for a moment, thinking the movement of the peices over in his mind. He chuckled lightly, "Rook to g7." He knew if it were real, the other would be in a perdicament right now. "Check" he sat the jar down once more, before turning to lean against the edge of the table. It was not to much of a serious move, though it was one that would have to bring about action, unless the other wished to lose. The jar upon the table, the eye shifting a bit within.

He remained there, as he waited to hear what the other would say next. This little game of them was both one of patience and of skill. At the same time, a move to fast could be both good as well. "Tell me something.....once you have the information that you wish, this little game of ours will end hmm? What then?" he asks, "perhaps you will move on to your next little game?...It will be a shame to meet our final checkmate.." He smiled, reaching a hand up to brush a bit of hair from his eye.

____________

Bel sat at the table, watching the contents of the mug within his hand. Finally sitting it down, his hand went to sit upon the cover of the Scry. It gave another soft glow, before there was movement to his side. His eyes turned to look up upon the one who had decided to pay him a visit. A little faun man. He was looking at the contents to the mug, asking what it was that dwelled within. He lifted a black gloved hand, brushing it through his hair for a moment. "A silver lullaby to keep the deamon beast at bay" was his initial reply. He figured the other might not know exactly what that means.

"It is a drink created of light magic and herbs. It is meant to purify and clense the body" he says, "to heal it, purge one of darkness." He looked to the mug once more, "though some darknesses take more than simple tea to purge." He wondered if that would do well enough to answer his question for now. It seemed the faun was not alone, another person had made there way over to him. A female, someone he did not know. She must have been new, and that was fine with him. His eyes on her, she introduced herself by the name of Rosie. She was looking into both of the circus' seeing where she would be staying. He would not be judging her, he had no reason to. He smiled, taking her hand.

He lowered himself into a slight bow, lowering his head to kiss the back of the hand he had taken from her. "Ah...such a beautiful name, a rose itself pales in comparison in the presence of such a name and beauty" he smiled up at her, his eyes moving to hers. "So many people within this place carrying such flare and passion...I am sure you would fit in right at home" he sat back once more in his chair, "of course, no one has the right to decide for you, it is your choice which path that you choose to take." He remembered his own choice to come here. The tempting thrill of adventure, and meeting new people. He had met some interesting ones so far.

The Scry floated up into the air for a moment, glowing slightly. He turned his eyes back upon it, before giving a slight sigh. "So noisy today" he said, the Scry indeed more active than usual. It was currently bugging him about his words, to the female and to the tea. The Scry did not personally like his more....personal endevors, especially when they were romantically. It was like being babysitted or watched over by a guardian who happened to be a book. He disliked it, and at the same time, he was thankful for it. Few cared about him in such a way, though the care of a book was a bit differant than one might think.

Zella had to do everything in her power to keep from raising an eyebrow at the way Everard Under had referred to her. Little mouse? She wondered if it was her hair. People always said her hair looked a little mousy, though she didn't understand how it could be so when it was in that color. She looked at Klaus Liore, who was cooking and giving everyone their breakfast. She gave a polite nod to Everard and went over to Klaus to collect her plate and breakfast. She took some toasted bread. "Thank you, Mr. Liore," she said in her most polite manner. That was what mostly defined her. Her extreme politeness.

She took a seat near Everard, as he had invited, and thanked him. "My name is Zella Ostiarius. It's a pleasure to meet you all." She looked around the room, slightly emboldened by Everard's kindness. If she had known that people were so nice, she wouldn't have doubted coming here so much. But how could they be? People were the reason she... no, she shouldn't dwell on that now. She came here to start over, and she was determined to do just that.

[Cole's status: Visible to Rosie, Asha, Bel, and Meili; memorable to Adira, Euriphuim, and Asha (the group around Adi will no longer recall seeing him with Rosie.)]

Quote:
"Visible" = seen, but unremembered. If you see Cole, he's like a fragment of a dream. Usually you can't see him unless there's a specific reason for your attention to focus on him. Ex: He's moving objects around or speaking with someone else.

As Rosie took a seat beside Bel, Cole flicked an ear in silent greeting. She was just slightly taller than him. It was an interesting scenario - he was used to being shorter than most, if not all, of his fellow circus performers. He'd gotten used to it long ago, and didn't seem too flustered with the fact that another female stood taller than he did - unless you added his antlers and ears to his height.

Cole wasn't sure if Rosie could see him. The strong woman made the faun smile slightly. She looked so delicate. How was it that she could lift such weights above her head so easily? Cole was curious, but said nothing to her. Instead, he turned his attention back to Bel as the illusionist spoke.

"A silver lullaby," Cole repeated in a hushed whisper, his gray eyes curious. The faun's ears swiveled forward, and his expression became a little less stoic - there was a bit of reverence in his gaze. He nodded to show he'd understood Bel, eying the cup again.

Hearing what Rosie said about testing out each circus brought a light shiver to Cole. The youth nearly dropped the last set of silverware in the process. Rubbing an arm, the youth seemed to fade from everyone's vision. With a quiet breath, Cole backed away from the table and allowed others to step past him in silence. It was time to become a shadow once again, and he had no problem with it.

Besides, Bel's attention was on flattering the lovely newcomer, anyway. Cole's expression smoothed back to its usual mild mask as he watched them interact. As Scry began to glow, the faun tilted his head and backed away toward the kitchen area again. The pale youth looked back to Asha, wondering if there was anything else for him to help with. His ear perked toward the woman, and he moved closer as though wondering if she'd still see him.
-

"It is never that simple," Drayth said with a forced blink. He ignored how Nex reached for the candle and instead let his gaze linger on the other male. "Nothing ever is." He said nothing, but it irked him that the fortune teller mentioned his slipping facade. Was it possible that his instability was slipping into even the most basic of his illusions? Perhaps Drayth merely needed to watch his temper.

The elf reached up to pull a lock of hair from his face, narrowing his eyes as Nex stood. "Rarely does anything hold mystery for me. It is most intriguing when I find something that does." Drayth looked ready to flash his fangs again as he inclined his head. "I do enjoy a challenge. I hadn't thought this one would last so long." He hadn't mentioned whether or not he wanted the information, but Drayth was obviously the sort to seek knowledge. He certainly studied enough to prove that.

Was their game amusing to him? Nex's little taunt made the elf's brows raise. "Most amusing." Drayth's lavender eyes flickered with irritation, but his expression stayed just as calm as ever. There was still a slight smile on his face. The illusionist watched as Nex moved to the table, toying with the strange jar that even Drayth had become accustomed to seeing. He thought little of it.

As their mental chess game continued, Drayth let his gaze linger on the jar that Nex had been messing with. As usual, one of them would push the other to action. This time, it was a subtle move - one that looked defensive for Nex, but really was a threat to Drayth's victory. If he ignored it, then he gave his opponent an open shot. If he reacted, he would weaken his defense.

The elf nodded, but didn't respond with another move. Not yet. He'd let his mind dwell on it to find a solution. Drayth's attention shot over to Nex's blackened eyes the moment the male began to speak. The illusionist tilted his head slightly, pondering the odd questions that were asked. A slow smile made its way onto his face.

"There will be a new game, seer."
There was something in Drayth's gaze that spoke of two paths: their game would end the moment he had the information he sought, but it would start something else. Obviously Nex's racial heritage was something Drayth knew little about. He would do well to learn from him, and there were plenty of questions and minutiae to find answers for. "The final move isn't made when I appease my curiosity. There are plenty of questions after that." Drayth was far to inquisitive in nature to let such a mystery pass away without serious probing.

"And will you tire of these games?" The elf leaned his elbows against his legs, still sitting cross-legged. Again, Drayth's fingers pressed to his lips in thought. Watching Nex, the tall male's intrusive gaze remained on the fortune teller.

With the agreeance that it was never that simple, Nexus' eyes returned to the other who dwelled for the moment within his tent. The other was keeping up his little ruse, but he was allowing small bits of information himself to slip, whether he intended for it or not. It was amusing to say the least. The man went on to explain his notions a bit, but Nex was hardly listening. Though his ears caught the words, and his mind still the information, his full attention was not on the other. He was looking at the jar again, the eye swirling within. He was also allowing his mind to branch out a bit, testing the presence around the circus.

Seemed most of them had headed to breakfast. The other calling their game amusing as well though, his eyes finally focused more on this man once more. He had not moved from his spot, which one might have thought was an odd one for the man. At first glance, he did not seem the type to readily get down and sit on the floor. Then again, it was most of the time with him that appearances were deceiving. What was real. What was fake. Nex would not admit to the other's face, but it did amuse him as well to watch how those two points riddled and messed with others. He let the other ponder the move he had made, no rush in trying to get one in return.

Instead, he pushed away from the table to stand, moving over to where a screen served as a cover for changing. He slipped off his hoodie, tossing it over the top of the screen. The man finally responding once more, as he slipped off the tank top he wore as well. A new game would follow the old, more questions and probing from the other man, as he hungered for more knowledge. The first step to an answer would only make him crave more. But the first step might also be quickening his decent into something he could never un learn. Something he could never un do or take back. Nexus paused for a moment, and found his hand sliding lightly over the ink that decorated his left side, almost as if in slight comfort.

The screen hiding this fact, as it hid his form as he changed. He grabbed a white shirt, slipping it on and buttoning it up. The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, before a black vest was placed over it. He did not button this, and allowed the top three buttons of the white shirt to remain undone as well. "Will I ever tire of these games?" He repeated the question, as a pair of black pants were added. He slipped from the back of the screen, over to the table once more to pick up a pair of black wrist bands, before turning his eyes on the other once more. "Why would I tire? It is so fun to watch you squirm" he smiled, before reaching up to adjust the ponytail that held the rest of his hair back into place.

"Besides....once you do get your answer, if you ever do, then the real fun begins does it not...." he moved over to the other, leaning down a bit. His right hand cupping the other's chin, lifting his face so theirs were mere centimeters apart. "Careful little Dray....nothing is ever what it seems, you know better than most on that" his eyes on his, "careful your hunger for knowledge does not make you...slip. Such a resulting tumble could be havoc indeed..." He let the other go with those words, smiling as he moved to the mouth of the tent. He picked up a pair of black shoes along the way, before slipping out. It was the other's choice if he followed or remained, Nexus did not care. He was not headed for the food tent and the others, no, he would be heading towards the main one, for a little fun.

Sensing Cole’s unease Euriphuim stayed glued to his side. The massive cat kept purring, hoping to calm the boy down. When they entered the tent he stayed by the fauns side until Cole moved to help set up, then he padded over to the bed set up for him in the corner. Almost every tent had one that Adira had set up long ago.

He did circles in the bed until he was comfortable and curled up. The panther would stay here for now until either Cole needed him or Adira came in.

She knew she should be careful with touching Midori but she couldn’t help herself. Adira was the touchy-feely type. Always wanting to show she cared through it. Since Midori was a fortune-teller she knew sometimes they could see things from people’s past.

Adira didn’t care what she saw, she trusted Midori completely. The two of them walked along going at their own pace. Rosie was in front entering the tent well before then two of them.

Once they were inside she dropped her friends arm and smiled at her. “Thank you,” she whispered. Midori was always her go to person, she was her adviser on all things.

“Thank you for cooking Asha,” she called out as she looked around the room. She had been watching everything through Euriphuim’s eyes and when Cole back away from Bel and Rosie she told him not to go to him. She could see that he was moving closer to Asha and she didn’t want her familiar to interrupt him.

Striding over to an empty table Adira fell into a chair and snapped her fingers, making one of her magic tomes appear in front of her. The book was floating eye level to the right side of her face. She started to thumb through the pages as Euriphuim came over to her to curl up at her feet.

It seemed the twins normal time was up. Nihssa let out a maniacal laugh and sang in a creepy voice. “Do not worry Claudy dear for we will find you something you can bear.” Narissa picked up the song, rocking back and forth in her chair. “It might be a nightmare, it might cause a scream, but never fear it will be a..dream.” The two of them started laughing, almost shrieking as they rocked back and forth. Today day would likely be a madness type of day.

As Klaus set their food down they both let out another maniacal laugh and dove into their food. They were silent until the food was done.

Pushing their chairs back the twins rose in unison, all their dishes in hand. Stalking over to the kitchen they basically threw the dishes in the sink, squealing with laughter. Thankfully nothing broke..this time.

Spinning in a Pirouette they raced over to Everard and the new girl, hearing her name as they came up to them. The girls sat on either side of Zella, Nihssa reaching out to touch her hair. “My my what pretty hair.” Narissa stayed silent, a grin on her face. “It’s purple but not like ours. You should have hair just like ours. Do you like our hair Zelly-Zel?”

Making a stern face Nihssa looked at Everard and ‘imitated’ him. “Mr. Grumpy gills don’t you think Zel should have hair like ours?” Narissa let out a snicker at her sisters bad imitation.
