You don't know what DSL is? lol Maybe it's too primitive for you :P
We're very backwards when it comes to broadband.

I'm pretty sure it's the same thing... although I'm pretty sure the A stands for Asymmetrical so DSL in theory would be a better service.
*checks wiki*
According to wikipedia:
Quote:
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is a form of DSL, a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines than a conventional voiceband modem can provide. It does this by utilizing frequencies that are not used by a voice telephone call. A splitter - or microfilter - allows a single telephone connection to be used for both ADSL service and voice calls at the same time. Because phone lines vary in quality and were not originally engineered with DSL in mind, it can generally only be used over short distances, typically less than 4km[1].

Oo!
Congrats ;D
I got quite a few things -- all small and non-pricey for the most part, but still beloved <33

My favorite would have to be the three Fruits Basket volumes I got :3
I'm actually shocked mom got them for me too!
She's always been against me getting anime in Japanese for some reason XD
I guess she's finally softening and allowing it! <33

Hiya Nuxie-chaannn!
Merry Christmas!! <33333

Hehe -- it's the only one I have -- I bought it with yarn XD
(Has no goldies at the moment :gonk:)

Haha -- not anime~
Just anime not in English XD
I don't know any Japanese, and she thinks it's stupid to watch something in a language you don't understand and be forced to read subtitles -sigh-
She's not very good at reading subtitles as fast as they appear so she thinks everyone's the same XD
It's like ".....I CAN READ SUBTITLES AND STILL WATCH THE SHOW AT THE SAME TIME NO PROBLEM! :gonk:"

XD I love watching things in subtitles. They say submersing yourself in the language is the best way to learn.

Which is true. I've always watched things in English - Belgium and the Netherlands don't dub English movies and programs to Dutch, but rather watch it with subtitles - and it's really added to my vocabulary.

Kalliste: I like the presents as well :3
I'm really only fond of the background -- it reminds me of a watercolor painting so I love it lol

Bishie: Oh without a doubt!!
I've been watching Vampire Knight/Vampire Knight Guilty/Earl and Fairy and I've already learned a bunch of Japanese!
Like -- Itsumo (I think that's the proper spelling) means "always" :3

its not that weird, my mom always hated Pokemon(understandable) and my two siblings dont see past the "misconception" shered by most North Americans (excluding mexico), from a overly harsh judging of japan from those souped(<--implying_a_swear) anime that didn't come from manga and no values or plot and spoofs.

Emma: XD I learn a new word from each anime I watch, because there's always that one word that they say all the time.

Lol!
Like in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicals -- Sayaoran says "Hine" (sp?) ALLLLLLLL the time when refering to Sakura because he refuses to call her Sakura now that she's lost her memories -- he'll only call her "Princess"~ XD
That's the one word I will always remember no matter what lol

"Hime", it is, actually. ^^ But I can understand that, in Syaoran, because he doesn't want to make her notice how close he actually is to her.

I really hope they get together in the end T_T
I'm only at the part where they just ended the Piffle Race thingy in the manga T_T

Bishie: :gonk:
Realllyyyyy?
I love it lol <33

XXXHolic?
What's that?

Kalliste:
