I'm still working on my blanket. I'm on my 4th skein of yarn I think.

I might drag my sewing machine out again one of these days. I'd like to start a new sewing project one of these days but I've got a quilt top I should probably finish first. Just need to sew on one or two more pieces and the top will be done.

Nice! Almost done with the blanket I hope!!

Oooh, I have all this cool material for a quilt, but I've never made one yet. A whole ton of batiks and fun stuff that I was going to do a disappearing nine patch with.

I wish I was almost done with the blanket. It's going to be a big blanket. Big enough for a full size bed. There is 145 yards in each skein of the yarn I'm using. I'm not half way done yet.

It's about 4 dollars a skein. It's not terribly expensive. Cheaper than some of the other yarns the store had.

That's a really big blanket. Tell me you aren't doing single crochet for it.

I'm doing it in double crochet. I'm thinking the treble crochet stitch would have maybe been better to use since it's taller. Oh well. Next time maybe.

I have no idea what that means since I don't crochet....I wish I did cause I think granny squares are a-DOOOOOORABLE.

A friend made me an awesome fantastic hat recently...that he should totally post here. Btw....since it's of the amazing creative persuasion..... *cough* Car'a'Carn: *cough*

So, I've decided to take a break from the blanket I've been working on, until I can get more of the yarn, and start another crochet project. I'm going to start another blanket, a smaller one. I'm going to use the treble crochet stitch as it uses less yarn. The yarn I'm using for this one is a nice soft fluffy alpaca acrylic blend yarn I got off the clearance rack. It's a lovely shade of blue.

I've gotten partway into the first row and I've noticed one thing about this yarn , because of the alpaca in it it seems to keep felting itself together in spots as I'm trying to pull out more yarn. It's slightly annoying.

I saw this on pintrest and it looks like such a simple sewing project, I think I'm gonna go through my materials and make a few that I can toss on.

Well, I've run out of yarn again. The second blanket I started is going really well. It's going to be bigger than I was planning when it's finished but it'll be nice. The yarn is marked as a bulky yarn but with the treble crochet stitch it seems to be working up to be pretty light weight. And the yarn has just such a lovely texture.

I need to find something else to do until I can get more yarn. Maybe I'll get my fabric scraps sorted and trimmed. I've been meaning to get that done but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

You and me both! I was put to shame when I saw how organized my friend's crafting stuff/fabric was organized. XD

How big is that blanket going to be, do you think?

I don't know. I had three skeins of it. I just started on the third skein. I'll have to see if the store I bought it from has anymore or will be getting anymore in.

So i'm working on a couple things. I have a huge blanket I've been working on for years. I am trying to get it king sized bed blanket size. And It's nothing pretty. It's litterly just whatever color catches my fancy at the time i need new yarn for it. It's crochet.

I'm also about to start a couple steelers hats for my brother and his son due next month. (his wife is a bills fan so i need to pick up some red and blue yarn too)

I have seen discussions on how being a Ravenclaw doesn't have to mean being book smart. There aer other types of smart.

he's smart?

*giggles* he's good at some kinds of math. he seems to trip over basic math though. And he's really good with computer but he's really bad at explaining what he knows. Cuase he expects everyone to know what he's talking about. He could probably program if he put his mind to it but its not really what he likes. He loves rules and math. So creating something new isn't really his thing. He's more the following strict rules kind. So the job he's got as a cage cashier is so perfect for him.

*covers mouth* oops. i don't mean to go on about him :3
