I wasn't dying inside until I got my current job, so I don't think it has as much to do with being an adult as just having a shitty job XP

I didn't feel like I was dying inside until I started working a "normal" job either.... xD

I don't think it'd be nearly so bad if I didn't hate my job with a passion DX. The job itself isn't even that bad, it's just the atmosphere that does it. It's not the people (all the time), it's not even the burrito-rolling or mopping. It's the atmosphere that makes me just want to smash my skull open on a wall.

I used to feel that way about my job too. =_=
I feel like most jobs feel that way, unless it's a job that you went to school for, it's usually pretty boring and just awful. D:

And then the people you work with does have an effect. It doesn't matter if it's a job you went to school for and actually wanted, if you work with people who are asses and are treated like shit when you're there, it's going to take away from the whole "I like my job" thing.

I used to hate my job because I worked with all women and they'd gossip about me and other teachers all the time. It got really annoying really fast, I absolutely hated it when they did that. It definitely sucked the fun out of the job.

I think work places should be fun, but it's unfortunately very hard to find a work place where people treat each other like human beings

Yeah. It's doubly bad when you've got to practically be on your deathbed to have a valid excuse to call off work.

For example, one night I overheard the manager literally say "if you're well enough to call in with the flu then you're well enough to come in for your shift, so get over it". Bitch, please. If they're calling in with the flu, you ain't gonna want them here, because they'll be running to the bathroom to either spew or have their butthole explode, or both at the same time, on top of not being able to stay upright for more than five minutes out of a time so there is no way in all the hells they'll be even remotely productive. And nobody else wants to get the damn flu, either!

Sooo either the Internet either didn't like my computer last night, or my computer didn't like the internet. It's weird when it does that.

A friend advised me to just go to work and get sent home rather than call in sick. Oh, Capitalism. *smiles and shakes head*

I don't care who is in charge, if I feel sick that I can't work then I am not going to work.

When I was able to work (while all my kids where still in school) I really really loved my job! I was an Auto Parts Delivery Person...and when there were no deliveries, I would put stock away in the warehouse.
I worked for nearly 3 years without taking a sick day...then I took 1 day off because I had cramps so bad I couldn't walk...and my supervisor called me to inform me that I missed a company meeting where everyone was informed that the company was going to close down! ...I was so sad! I worked there till the very last day...and haven't had another job since then.
I miss that job!

That is sad, Inzane :(
It's always really sad to me when companies end up closing.

I worked through horrible vertigo on Monday.

You're really amazing, I couldn't even work if I had a sore throat.

It sucked. But I was standing in once place making sandwiches for the most part so not having to move around a lot helped. Though looking up at my screen and back down was awful.

I went to work two days ago with a sore throat and even though I was miserable, I didn't hate it. :D

But being at work while sick sucks, big time! :(
