"I do not," Clint protested. He paused. "And you haven't yet."

"Yet," Tony said ominously before he grinned. "One of these days, birdy. Oh, go grab Steve, will you? The two little pests are going home today."

"Thank god," Clint muttered, getting up. "That Electrike keeps sparking at Pigeot."

"Pigeot is a terror sometimes and you know it," Tony replied with a little grin. "Go herd them up here so you can go smooth all the feathers down again."

"He is not," Clint replied. "Noctowl is." But he did go inside to see about getting Cap to bring out Vulpix and Electrike.

Tony shook his head, amused. "At least his pokemon are fairly well-behaved most of the time."

"Unlike some others?" Maeve teased.

"Yup." Tony grinned. "Unlike some others in this building."

Maeve just snickered, and turned again when she heard the door opening. Steve came in with Vulpix and Electrike, handing them to her.

"Is Julie alright?" he asked, concerned.

"She's just exhausted," Maeve said, nodding. "Bit of a rough mission."

"She'll be back tomorrow, Cap," Tony said with a little grin. "And then you can mother hen her all you want, and don't deny it, I know you want to."

Steve gave Tony something of a Look, although Maeve just grinned.

"He kind of has you pinned, Captain," she pointed out.

"I know I do, I've lived with him for two and a half years." Tony grinned at Steve, completely ignoring the Look.

Maeve just grinned and gathered up Julie's pokemon when they skidded into the room.

"There you two are," she said. "Come on, time to head home. I think Jules needs some snuggles." She looked at the Avengers again. "We'll probably show up tomorrow at some point." She looked at Tony. "I'm going to claim ignorance of any and all SHIELD hacking you do from now until tomorrow, because I know it's going to happen anyways. Tonight it isn't my problem."

"Not your problem," Tony agreed easily. "Go rest, and we'll see you both tomorrow." He grinned and waved her off.

Maeve waved at them both and headed back home, Julie's pokemon in tow. Once she was sure her friend was alright, then she would see about planning to get them over to the tower the next day.

Julie was still fine, although she was resting. Altaria cheeped at Maeve when she came in.

"Got the little ones?" Julie asked from her room.

"Right here," Maeve said, letting Vulpix and Electrike out to go snuggle with their trainer. She grinned a bit. "Cap's worried about you."

Julie snorted quietly. "He's a good guy like that," she said, shrugging. "He probably worries about everyone." She petted Electrike when the pokemon settled in next to her.

"I thought I was going to have to turn on my 'agent voice' and tell him to stay there," Maeve said, grinning a bit. "He looked like he wanted to follow me back to see you."

Julie laughed quietly. "Well, I'll be at the Tower tomorrow," she said with a careful little shrug. "So he can see me then."

"Yeah, I told them that," Maeve said. She was quiet for a moment. "Tony asked about the mission. I couldn't tell him much, since it's still classified, but whatever goes on in the tower is officially not my problem until we get there tomorrow."

"Meaning Tony will find out and have all the details by the time we get there tomorrow." Julie grimaced. She wasn't sure she liked them knowing how badly she'd screwed up, even if it wasn't her fault she'd had faulty intel.

"Most likely," Maeve said. "But at least we're both off-duty until tomorrow, so the Director can't try to ride us about not stopping him."

"We don't live there, we don't know what happens there," Julie said with a grin. That was her story and she was sticking to it.

"Exactly," Maeve said, grinning. "They're not my responsibility until I set foot in the tower tomorrow."
