@Ignus: Nope, I don't think we answered that, but my guess would be that it saves effort. If people threw pies, a large number of whole pies would be wasted! But right now we only throw a slice of cheesecakes, which means less cheesecakes in the long run. But why they use two different pastries is beyond me.
