I have actual DJed in a couple of different places- college and pirate stations mostly. But since I started staying home more, and since streaming has gotten more sophisticated I have enjoyed making setlists for public broadcast from my house a lot more.

My favourite site for awhile was turntable.fm. That was my nightly fix, was to go into this site- basically a streaming site with a live chat, and 5 DJ spots. I'd spin, and I'd listen to other folk spin, and learn a lot of new bands and genres.

Then turntable turned into some sort of lame MySpace wannabe with spins only by famous people, and this was hated by everyone, so the site died.

I listen to a lot of my own playlists on grooveshark now. They make turning your streaming into a public feed easy by just having a button marked 'broadcast'. This opens onto a page with a chat, and the ability for your listeners to request songs you haven't played yet.

Anyone else use sites like this? or DJ live at a radio station that can be streamed?

(of course, as I've mentioned it, I now have to plug my grooveshark broadcast
