Main Thread: http://www.menewsha.com/viewtopic.php?p=757319#757319

Déloor is a roleplay that has no official plot. You build and add on as long so as you can keep up. The required post length is three paragraphs, though writer's block (one to two paragraphs) is understood. There is no character application, jump right in if you think you can keep up. ;D

In the next few posts, I will have information about Déloor and the lands in there, so that you can get the fill of the roleplay. (You don't have to read everything unless you wish, just choose a country, and read that, then make your post if you wish to join in the official thread. Link is coming soon.)

• Fayshore – A mountainous area to the north with a plain covered, farming lands to the south.

o Income and Work - Fayshore is a poorest in the north, where the few residents have little jobs in the rocky soil; the biggest job in the north and slightly to the west is hunting. The rest of Fayshore is mostly farming and some fishing, and makes a medium income for a decent life.

o Education – Fayshore’s education is lack luster. Since many are farmers or hunters, schooling is not necessary and in many areas only open to the rich, which is a minority there.

o The People – Physically: These people's thick, curly hair is black to very dark brown and their eyes are generally blue, grey, or hazel. Their height ranges from 6' to 7' and their build tends to be plump. Their skin is pale gold, and they have rounded faces. These people wear revealing clothing in faded greens and browns. The usual materials are cotton or vinyl, with trailing skirts and high collars. Some wear wide-brimmed hats or glass bangles. Religion (Based on Majority): The religion of Fayshore is based around the earth and what the earth gives to the people. The deity is often symbolized by a fairy with green hair, gold skin, gold eyes, and brown wings. The followers refer to her as Maiden (sometimes called Mistress, though not as usual.), while her divine name is Unou, though to say it in other place then the temple in which they worship is considered a taboo which may get you killed in Fayshore. She is considered the Giver of All, and rests in her Palace that they think rests in a legendary forest, Ebias, which is where the religion got its name of Ebiasism. In Ebiasism, there is one other deity, but is like a devil to them. She also is a female, often seen in the nude, with wings ripped from her back. Her hair is made of coal as are her eyes, and her skin is often shown in silver. She rests in dark caves where no earth grows, and reins in a castle made of the Holy Beast, a griffon. Her land is cold and lifeless, and the people whom go there in the after life are made of ice. Worship Houses or Ebiasism are always pointed at the top and have a large statue of the Maiden inside. Inside and on the grounds of the temple is also the only place her Holy Name is to be spoken. These worship houses are named Houses, and the leaders of the Houses read from the Unou, named after the Maiden herself; these books are not allowed outside the temple. The followers of Ebiasism are grouped into two. The group who worships the “ancient” traditions keeps the women of the house inside the house where they keep the shine to the Maiden as clean as possible. She spends all day creating offerings or preparing them in order to give to the Maiden. The male of the house is hunt and farm all day and when home, they give half of any food collected to the Maiden, unless they are on the verge of death or in desperate need of food. Entertainment: The fun activities of Fayshore come twice a year, both of which are holidays in Ebiasism. The first comes on the Fall Solstice, celebrating the crop that’ll e their source of income all year. During this time, there is a large feast open to the whole community, often held in cities, towns, or villages. After that, many of the adults indulge in alcohol and sex. The second holiday comes on the last day of the year according to the calendar of their religion. This holiday is for adults, where they drink until their heart’s content and then they bring in the New Year with fertility and hopes of another child with whomever they’d like.

o Major Cities: Colus - This is a moderate-sized, crowded city built predominantly of red brick and defended by arcane spells which were made under the main religion of Fayshore. It is defended by a deep and treacherous moat and its most noteworthy feature is the large and busy market square which cloth, grain, herbs, alcohol, and meats are sold by various self-owned merchants and stores. Colus is strongly built around religion and if caught practicing another religion, the person and their family are publicly tortured to death. Ethaia - This huge city is well-populated. It stands beside a river and is mainly constructed of adobe. It is defended by a formidable army and its most noteworthy feature is the huge marble temple.

• Roséiroin – A flourishing island country that thrives off of fishing, mining, and their famous clothing, cloth, models, and beautiful people.

o Income and Work – Roséiroin is an economy for the rich, where the rich get richer and the poor get richer. Their economy is highly inflated, and those with the money, the merchants of food and clean drinking water, seem to like it that way. Other people in this class are also the models, the clothing designers, and artists. About fifteen percent of the land is made of such merchants and artists; the largest class, with a roaring eighty percent is the middle class. The middle class is usually made of farmers whom work for the high class land owners, purifiers who are paid to purify the salt water, cloth makers, fishers, and miners. And the last class, with five percent, a small minority, is the low class. These people tend to be bums, called by the rest of Roséiroin “petties”, or work as indentured servants to the high and upper middle class.

o Education – With a public education system, even public high level schools (known to us as colleges), Roséiroin has some of the greatest minds in all of Déloor. Everyone, even petties, is open to have an education, since the early times of Roséiroin, under rule of the first monarch, King Ivaion. Education is held high in the eyes of every citizen, and their schools are extremely strict.

o The People – Physically: These people are generally 4' to 5' tall and tend to be wiry. They have thick, wavy hair that varies from brown to black, eyes that are blue, grey, or hazel, and light to medium brown skin. They typically have rounded faces, with small noses and eyes that are almond-shaped and wide-set. These people wear mostly silk in colors such as tawny, lime green and grass green, and distinctive wide-brimmed hats. The overall style is no-nonsense and involves a lot of flared skirts and tight waists. Religion (Based on Majority): This economy is generally atheistic, based on strong beliefs in science and the arts instead of what they consider “nonsense”. Entertainment: When rich, entertainment varies widely. Most citizens enjoy sports such as foos. Foos is a game of brain and brawn. In it, you must run around, carrying a rock, and keep from coming in contact with other players. The other players are trying to get the “fooser” from getting to the other side of the playing court, a foos yard; the fooser is trying to get that way in order to score for his team. The other players may attack the fooser, like someone might in football, but if they do come in contact, they must watch out. The fooser is allowed to hit any said player within a three foot radius as hard as they’d like, in anywhere but the head, with the rock to get them away. Current death toll because of foos: 178. Other sports include backing, a game in which you must confuse the other player to give you a rock, about the size of a human fist (compared to a foos rock, which is the size of a human head, usually with sharp corners) and then to run to the other side of the court, which is roughly one hundred yards long, and hand it off to their awaiting team, who will them run as they fast as they can to their goal on the other side without letting go of the rock. Other hobbies of citizens: reading, writing, hiking, and wrestling.

o Major cities – Atlya - This is a moderate-sized, sprawling city built predominantly of red brick and defended by amazons. It is well known for its immense central fort. Most of its revenue comes from clothing designs and designers. Espa - This large city is bustling. It stands astride a river and is mainly constructed of red brick. It is defended by a somewhat lackadaisical city guard and its most noteworthy feature is the imposing aqueduct. Eurymnaea - This moderate-sized city in a deep valley is best known as the birthplace of a famous hero – a famous scientist who gave birth to Roséiroin alchemy. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in land owning, and it is considered noteworthy for its immense central fort. Tasmabaia – Is the name of a castle located in Eurymnaea. This enormous castle, built of cream-colored stone and set beneath a cliff, belongs to a young duchess. It contains a wise old healer and appears to be thriving. It is approached by a well-kept road. Nearby is a busy Halfling hamlet in which there is a reliable well. The holding is rich in platinum. Outside of it, many merchants sell their clothing, cloth, and the wondrous aroma of freshly cooked fish fill the hearts of citizens and tourists. Utycand - This huge, extremely crowded city astride a river is best known as a bastion of neutrality. The majority of its inhabitants are involved in tourism, and it is considered noteworthy for its hot springs.

• Aldioness – A desert area, striving off of a large oasis off to the west, near the center of the country. Best known for its pottery, this is a mid-class country of street merchants. Also extremely notable, it’s underground labyrinth. Aldioness has no set government, is constantly in war with its self.

o Income and Work – Aldioness is a land of mid-class; a healthy, stable society, where money, for the most part, is spread evenly between the peoples. Upper society (.5% of pop.) is made up of a select few families, most of whom inherited their wealth. The upper mid-class (23.5% of pop.) is made of those who own part of the out-skirts of the oasis area and grow lush fruits, or those who own a successful pottery stores store. The mid-class (39% of pop.) is mostly made of pottery artists, and those who raise camel-like animals called “alo”. The lower mid-class to lower class (37% of pop.) mostly work as either miners (where available) or substance farmers, struggling to feed themselves. Before the Aldion Civil War began, a shocking twenty-eight percent less of the population was in lower middle class, the upper class was higher by about ten percent; the rest was spread between upper middle class and mid-class. Since the war, Aldioness has gone into a depression, faced a high death rate of 33%, and has struggled feeding those who are starving, which is now spreading up into mid-class. With a severe lack of medicine, Aldioness has had disease spreading like wild fire, making the death rate higher, birthrate lower, and the life expectancy of their people to lower. In the war, there are three sides: the Alenso, Merioly, and Grengion.

o Education – In the time of war, education is no longer required to anyone other then anyone going into the war on any of the three sides. Though, before the war, education was put on high priority to most people; now, most at the age of sixteen can’t even read or write.

o The People – Physically: These people's fine, wavy hair is medium to dark brown and their eyes are generally blue or bluish. Their height ranges from 6'6" to 7'9" and their build tends to be compact and muscular. Their skin is very dark brown, and they have broad faces. These clothes are in a carefree style, mainly of wool in bright primary colors; slit skirts and shapeless tunics are common. There is considerable ornament, mostly in the form of curlicues. Religion (Based on Majority): The religion of Aldioness is based off of the things around them, the natural things such as wind, rock, animals, and, the highest and prayed to most, water. The gods and goddesses go by the name of their element. The goddess of Wind, Air, is a kind woman in mythology, with a large, strong personality. She is prayed to for wisdom. The rock god, Earth, in mythology is a rough man with a dry sense of humor. He is prayed to for strength. Pair of twins, male and female, are the god and goddess of animals; the goddess’s name is Nature, and the male’s is Herd. They are prayed to in times of family crisis, death, and when something to do with animals is brought up. The goddess of water goes by Aqua. They believe she is a blessing, and any bit of water found is a gift from her. Because of the little they get of her, they pray to her often, constantly begging for her presence in the oasis area. She has three large, elaborate shrines given in her name across this country. The religion is even named after her, Aqualdioness, which is also where the country gained its name. The philosophy of Aqualdioness is that life around you is all accounted on by nature, the very way you live is from nature and that the land is not your’s, and therefore should be respected. Entertainment: Entertainment, currently, is something very hard to find time to do. Most, for fun, decorate clay pottery, though most of the time this has to do with work instead of fun, though it is still considered one of the “nicer” things to do. Other then clay art, drawing in the large town square, a giant circle made of dried, white clay is usually covered in a thin layer of sand, and many go there and draw small designs, and play small counting games. A major thing to do is explore the large labyrinth located beneath the city is usually the biggest thing to do for many people, or it was. Ever since the war began, Team Merioly has cut it off and used a few parts of it (currently unknown as to which parts of the labyrinth) as a base. A popular sport is Aldioness is a game that we might consider like soccer; it is played with a ball made completely out of alo leather, and is about the size of a basket ball. One may not use their hands, though they may use any other part of the body. There are two goals, one for each team, and both teams have those whom are like goalies, only they may only block with their head and a large stick with a net on the end to block, this role is called the “blovk.” In this game, the first to a set amount of points win.

o Major Cities - *Note: all three “cities” are military bases of the Alenso, Merioly, and Grengion, respectively. Other then the facet they are military bases, nothing much is known about them. Estya Libyneos Ugovona – An underground base, located somewhere beneath the city in the labyrinth.

Please note: Your character may NOT live here!

This land, in the roleplay, will most likely be used as a place to explore, fight, and so forth. This is an uninhabited land.

• Valenford - This moderate-sized country is curiously empty. It stands in the heart of the kingdom and is mainly constructed of stone. It is defended by a deep and treacherous moat and its most noteworthy feature is the detailed murals. The weather is mild all year long. In the center of the city, there is a large stone.

o Income and Work: Uninhabited country, N/A

o Education: Uninhabited country, N/A

o People – Physically: Though no one currently inhabits Valenford, their elaborate murals that adorn the buildings tell us what the past people look like. Their skin a shade of light gold, as is their hair and their eyes are wide and a golden shade, like the rest of them. They tend to have fuller lips and most are about 5’ to 6’ feet tall. They typically have angular faces, with high-bridged noses and eyes that are almond-shaped and wide-set. These people wear mostly cotton in colors such as coral, forest green and ivory, and distinctive scarves. The overall style is androgynous and involves a lot of drawstring pants and tight-fitting tops. Other then that, what appeared to be the richer part of the city wore clothes in an airy style, mostly made of synthetic fiber or leather in bright pastels; tailored pants and long tunics are prevalent. The richer ones wore many jewels on fingers, in nose, ear, lip, cheek, and eyebrow piercings, and on bracelets, anklets, arm bands, and leg bands. Religion: N/A Entertainment: The most of what we know is of their paintings, so it seems they had enjoyed art a great deal.

o Major Cities: We only currently know of one major city, which is the one with the castle and great amounts of jewels in it, Tritova is what it is called by from historians.
