Alrighty, if I'm not mistaken there's no actual pie-themed thread. So let's chat about pies!

Pie is fun! Pie is delicious! Pie is sharable and brings people together. There are many different types of pies - something for everyone!

Some ideas to get you started thinking about pie, and my answers...

Who likes pie? (Me, you, Jack O'Neill from Stargate!) What's your favorite pie? (Mine's probably some form of chocolate pie. Or pumpkin pie.. oh, I love pumpkin pie.) Have you made pies before? (I've only helped...) Do you have any good pie recipes? (I don't remember where I put my recipe book...) Is cheesecake a pie? (I have no idea.) What about pizza-pie? (No.) What about pi pie? Pie charts? (Okay now this is just silly.) Is throwing pies fun or wasting food? (Probably wasting food but I love throwing virtual pies!) Is pie better than cake? (Depends on the type of both cake and pie, I think.) Whipped cream: yes or no? (YES)


And anything else you can think of about pie!

Key lime pie is really sour/intense too. I like it but only cause I kind of like being masochistic with my taste buds sometimes.

Banana pie... I'd forgotten about that type of pie. Mmmmm, now I'm craving it :D

Let's talk about pies make me think of that song by Salt 'N Pepper. Instead the song will be about cooking and baking pies. :)

Dutch apple pie is the best :ninja: or caramel apple pie. I love anything apple pie.

This is my favorite summer pie recipe. It's very tasty. A frozen pie is refreshing in summer.

Frozen Lemon Pie


1 12 oz can evaporated milk, chilled.
1 cup sugar
1 3 oz package lemon gelatin
1/4 cup lemon juice

1 vanilla wafer pie crust
Garnishes: vanilla wafer cookies, lemon slices, mint leaves

Beat milk at high speed w/mixer until foamy. Gradually add sugar; beating well. Add gelatin, beat until blended. Stir in lemon juice. Spoon into vanilla wafer pie crust. Freeze eight hours until firm. Garnish if desired.

Vanilla Wafer Pie Crust


3 dozen wafers, divided
2T butter, melted.

Crush 20 wafers. Combine crumbs with butter. Press mixture into bottom of a 9" pie plate. Arrange remaining wafers around edges.

It will not splat when thrown, however.

I love apple pie. I just made a cherry pie today before I had to work. It was awesome with a bit of vanilla ice cream. Pumpkin pie I think may be my favorite though.

My favorite pie is pumpkin pie!!!! I love pumpkin pie~! Every year at Thanksgiving we always make two pumpkin pies - one for everyone...and the other primarily for me to eat over the next week lol.

I always have my mom make an extra one for me to take home. Most the time I end up sharing it with my sister but I can easily eat the whole thing by myself. That sounds so good right now too. XD

I like pumpkin and pecan pie.

My boyfriend got me to warm it up in the microwave one time. And it was delicious. o:

@Mystic - that's what happens with me! lol - when I moved out to go to college I would just take it back with me and eat it as a snack every day lol. I really wish I had some pie right now!
