With my fingers itching for something to write again i decided to open up a poetry store.
What's a poetry store? You tell me what i to write, i write it, you keep it.
And.. if you contributed enough to the life of the poem, you can have your name on it to :)

If you have any desire to purchase one of my poems please fill out the form below and post it in this thread or PM it to me :)

Username/recipient: Include your username if the recipient is not you.
Genre/style: Romance, Humor, etc... / Serious, cutesy, etc...
Extra details: Anything specific you want in the poem. Words, phrases, names, etc...
Preferred form: number of verses, number of lines, etc...
Date needed by: if applicable
Form of sending: PM, post, mule* (see not below).

Fill in as many or as few as you wish from the form above. I made it to allow you to have a say in what I write so it is in part your poem as well. However, the more stipulations you put on it the harder it may be for me to write. If this is the case I will PM on the matter.

*I have a mule called WordsCome. If you want a poem sent anonymously :ninja: she can send your poem, along with a small message, for you. She will say the poem was written by me at the recipients request. Or something to that affect. We can always personalize. If you chose this method you will be able to preview the message first.

This however will be extra gold (dependent on the length of the message). Any replies will be sent back to you unless you request otherwise.

Rights

1. If for some reason I can not write your piece and your have given me money for it, I will return the amount paid in full along with my apologies.

2. If I did not finish a piece on time, you have the right to get your all/part of your money back.

3. If you are unsatisfied I will consider returning a portion of your gold to you but this will be at my discretion. Chances are I will at least return a portion of it, perhaps offer to rewrite a portion of it if i can't. I want people to be satisfied.

4. I also own the work I have done. I will use it in other places as i see fit.

5. If you use my work anywhere, you must give credit to me! If I find my work floating about uncredited I will report you.

This is a very interesting idea, but, maybe I've been on Gaia too long, isn't it against ToS to sell your work?

I asked one of the moderators and read through all the rules myself to check; she said it was okay.

If someone uses it they still have to name me as the author so it's really no different than doing art for someone and they got to keep it or if someone found my work and posted it somewhere else, except for they get a say in it.

If this doesn't work out I guess I'll do a banner shop...

Yes, this is allowed here in Lit Spot. Unfortunately, all the shops I've seen in here have never lasted long, as there was a serious lack of people willing to pay for poetry. :yes:

Random word generator huh? Never would have thought to use that... Thesaurus, dictionary, rhyme finder I've used. Sounds fun though. Maybe one day when I have time I'll have some fun with it.

Kaput: had a far stronger definition than i thought it would I have a couple ideas swirling around in my head so I guess I'll just start writing and see where it takes me. :)

Lol well this word has turned out to be a real stumper... just can't seem to get a flow going that I like. So I'm abandoning my usual style and doing free form. So after much back and forth, dead ends and a little research here is what I came up with:

What do you consider short? Can you give me a max number of lines?

I have a rather messy quest thread now. I want to completely redo it in some sort of spring theme and am not entirely sure what the end result will look like yet, so I'm not sure how useful looking at it in it's current state will be, buuuut... the link is in my signature. =) I will be keeping the art on the front page, that's about all I'm sure of at this point.

As far as length, I don't want to stifle your creativity too much by placing limits.. so, more than 2 but less than 20 lines?

I don't mind. Long as I have a preset length in my head I'll be fine. Twenty is about average for me so that will work out well.

I've been wanting to mix up my rhyming scheme a little recently so this will give me a chance to have fun with it. :)
