"Honkey Tonk Badonkadonk" was playing in the club. She got out of the truck, locked it, and headed for the door. "C'mon!" She said with a grin.

Mark smiled back, and followed in after her. There were tons of people inside, and he thought he was going to be lost, but he stayed with sara.

Sarabeth made her way over to the counter. There was a boy about Markus's age taking orders. "Markus, what kind of coke do you like?"

She nodded. "Two coca cola, Jack." She said to the guy at the counter. Jack smirk. "If'ns you sing a little song up front, the sodas are on the house." He said. Sarabeth sighed. "Okay. Saves my allowance. But first we get our cokes." Jack nodded and went to a back fridge and pulled out two bottles. "Here ya go." He said, putting them on the counter.

She opened her soda and took a drink. Then she nodded. "Yeah. A bit." She said with a nod. Then Jack jumped in. "The girl can sing. She's like the next Carrie Underwood." Sarabeth's face turned red. "Jack, stop overreacting..." She said with a chuckle.

Mark's eyes brightened up. If she was that good, she could get a good career going as a real singer.

After a bit, she finished her soda. Of course she'd make good on her deal. "Jack. Cut the background news so I can do this." She said with a sigh. Jack nodded and went over to the pa announment system. His voice rang out over the building. "If we can get a little quiet, we have live music tonight. The band needs to get up on stage. The noise died down, as Sarabeth made her way up front. A younger kid, about fifteen sat up on stage with a guitar. Sarabeth leaned over and whispered the song he needed to play. And so he started.
She took a breath, and let it fly, putting everything she had into the song.
"I've been tellin' my dreams to the scarecrow
'Bout the places that I'd like to see
I said, friend do you think I'll ever get there
Ah, but he just stands there smilin' back at me
So I confessed my sins to the preacher
About the love I've been prayin' to find
Is there a brown eye'd boy in my future, yeah
He says. girl you've got nothin' but time
But how do you wait for heaven
And who has that much time
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know, that you were born, you were born to fly
My daddy, he's grounded like the oak tree
My momma, she is steady as the sun
Oh you know I love my folks
But I keep starin' down the road
Just lookin' for my one chance to run
Yeah, 'cause I will soar away like the blackbird
I will blow in the wind like a sea
I will plant my heart in the garden of my dreams
And I will grow up where I'll wander wild and free
Oh, how do you wait for heaven
And who has that much time
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know, that you were born
You were born yeah
You were born to fly
So how do you wait for heaven
And who has that much time
And how do you keep your feet on the ground
When you know that you were born
You were born to fly fly fly fly
Hey
Ooooh, ooooh..."

Mark just sat there at the bar. His coke in hand, that was about half gone, and a stunned look on his face. She had the most beautiful voice that he has ever heard. Nothing this good, has been found by him in the city yet. He just couldn't believe that, the cute girl had the voice to match. He just didn't know how he was to ask her if she wanted to be produced, of even go any ware with that voice.

All was quiet for a moment, then broke out in cheers. She hopped off the stage. "There. Deal finished, Jack, now can I get a bottle of water please?" She said, pulling out two quarters.

"Oh..." Mark said. Hearing this he was a bit disappointed. "What if a producer said that there was a high chance that you could make it your career, and still keep your free time, at the farm?" he asked hoping that he could get her attention, on thinking that this could work. This way they both would be happy.

"well you know what.." Mark said pulling out his wallet, and offering her a card. It was his card. His father supported the building that he was in, and he was the producer of the place. "Thats my card..I just came here with my father, not knowing that I would possibly be doing work too, but you do have talent that should be shared around.." He said

"Sounds like a plan!" She said with a nod. The song "Play Something Country" began playing, and a dirty blond haired boy came up the her. "Miss Sarabeth, how's about a dance." Sarabeth looked none too thrill. "Pete, no... No dance." She said with a sigh. He was her ex, and he wanted her back, but she wasn't interested.
