Name: Raisel Leet
Age: 19
Area of Study: Photography
Appearance: image1 image2 image3
He’s 5'8" and decently built. His hair is just above his shoulders, straight. He sometimes parts it in the middle and sometimes to the side with hair in his face. It’s greyish-blue in color with bright orange streaks. He has blue eyes and an eyebrow piercing. A small stud piercing is in his ear. He’s almost never without boots, a black leather jacket, and motorcycle gloves. He has a tattoo of a peregrine falcon between his shoulder blades.
Likes: color blue, fruity cocktail drinks (fav=blue hurricane), and the sky.
Dislikes: tedious tasks and heights (major phobia).
Personality: He comes off as an ass, but he resents being thought of that way. He lacks finesse and manners and he thinks he’s cool like that, but he then makes terrible decisions and regrets it. He has a reputation as a player and a heartbreaker, but he never once tried to break anyone’s heart. He is a stupid, loud, and flirty drunk. He adores being a rebel (though he’s more wannabe than anything else) and he loves freedom and only looking out for himself. He skips class, parties, and makes friends easily. He also loves to be alone outside. He’s stubborn, argumentative, hates perfect people and he never ever shows his weak side to people.
Facts: Smokes more than just casually
Bio: He comes from a upper middle class family that isn’t quite rich, but has always been willing to buy him most anything he wants. Was pushed into sports in his first years of high school, but due to sucking at it, he switched to the journalism club. He’s been dying his hair since then and showed up with a motorcycle and ear piercing for his senior year. Ran with the ‘mean’ crowd, got in trouble for talking back to male teachers, and went through girlfriends like people go through socks. They often broke up with him, sometimes with a slap. He got his eyebrow piercing and the tattoo in the summer after high school.

Name: Ian McLocke
Age: 19
Area of Study: Game Design : Character and World Design
Appearance: reference
Around 5'10'', used to be 5'6'', he had a growth spurt after graduating high school, his hair is a dark brown color that almost looks black without proper lighting. Eyes are a forest green that have a few flecks of brown around the pupil when it's sunny outside, wear's hoddies or logo T-shirts with baggy or skinny jeans, always wears his converse shoes, sometimes he will wear bright colored beanies. He has some pudgy bits around his tummy from nights of staying up late and eating to get energy to well stay up even later. He should be wearing his big thick glasses more then he does but he doesn't like them so he squints a lot. He has one piercing on his right ear and he had a cat tattoo on his left but cheek. His skin is lightly tanned.
Likes: Being up high[like on the roofs of buildings], spicy foods, cats, late night gaming sessions and men.
Dislikes: deep water [phobia of drowning], being up before 10 am, not getting good grades in his classes.
Personality: At first glance Ian is a quite boy, keeps to himself as best he can. He will get violent when some one means his little sister any sort of harm or ill intent, he had gotten into a few fistfights over the years because of his protective nature to those he sees as family. He always notices the small details in things and can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to his projects, his room is always a mess or as he calls it organized chaos. He has always had trouble making long lasting friends, there are a few who he still emails every day as they all go to different schools in different states.
Facts: He is allergic to tree nuts so he has a couple epi-pens stashed in his bag and in his drawers.
Bio: Ian's family immigrated from Scotland when Ian was little, he still retains his homeland accent with pride. While his family is the church going type and his father is a hard working bread winner type that works hard at two jobs to support his wife and three kids, Ian kept his blossoming feelings to himself when he found himself staring at the other boys in the change room and not straying to the pretty girls in his school. It was a senior prank in his final year of high school that ended up outing him to the school and his parents, his sister had known for a few years now. While he still harbors angry feelings to the ones who pulled the prank he had moved on in a ways and accepted himself for who he is, a man who loves other men. After a rocky summer with his family he is ready to start his first year of higher learning and start towards his dream of designing and developing games.

The sun created a sticky heat outside. Raisel stared out the window, both miffed at it and longing toward the sky outside. If not for this box of a room he stood in, he might be outside lost with his camera. The weekend of freshman orientation and move in period left the campus an absolute mess of students. Raisel arrived in the early morning and already picked up his sky, spending the time since then unloading his car into the new dorm room. Other students down the hall had the help of their parents, but he'd managed alone and all for the better. Clenching his fists, he pulled away from the single window and flopped onto the still unmade bed next to it that he claimed, poorly folded sky-blue sheets tossed to one end.

Who would his roommate be? He didn't receive even a name which set a scowl on face that could have been considered pretty if not for the intense blue eyes with the eyebrow piercing above and striking dyed hair cutting across his forehead. The grey-blue strands were interspersed with orange streaks that only made him look flashy and dangerous. At least, that's what he liked to think. What mattered now though was who he would live with. Damn, he really hated this wait. Just let that guy hurry up and arrive! Pulling to his feet again, he set about putting away his belongings with far more energy than was required, slamming doors shut like he owned them.

Dark brown hair was hidden under a bright blue beanie as thick rimmed glasses slipped down a lightly tanned nose. Ian's forest green eyes looked at the dorm building and back down to the piece of paper with his dorm number on it. "I'm so proud of you sweetheart." His mother said hugging him as his father grabbed his travel case form the trunk of their beat up old truck.

"Thanks Ma, I'll study hard." He smiled at his mom who hugged him one more time before his dad shook his hand and with a sputtering turn of a old engine his parents where gone, sighing to himself Ian made sure his messenger bag was hooked across his chest properly before he began to pull him case and himself to the dorm.

Ian found the halls of the dorm packed with students all trying to either find their rooms or chattering away with friends they had already made, he was a bit late so he hurried till he found his dorm door. Taking a deep breath he opened the doors handle, wondering who his room mate would be.

He froze in the door when he saw a vaguely familiar shade of hair. 'No it couldn't be.... could it?' Ian certainly didn't think any one else would have hair like that with the same orange streaks that had haunted his nightmares for those last few months before graduation.

Instead he found him self saying. "You my roommate?" He tried to make his voice as gruff as he could with his accent still holding on after all his years here. The more he looked at the other man in the room, the more Ian found feelings of anger welling up inside him.

Raisel turned over his shoulder, recognizing the voice but unable to place it. That was, until he saw the person now standing in the doorway. Instantly, his face twisted with irritation and incredulity. "You? You've got to be kidding me?!" he snapped. The other boy stood taller than he remembered, taller than himself even, but no matter how he looked at it, the person entering the room was undoubtedly Ian McLocke, one of his least favorite people from high school. The world hated him. Groaning, Raisel dropped the stack of clothes he'd been holding into a drawer with no pomp. Instead, his full attention was on Ian.

"How did you get into a school like this anyway? Why don't you quit early and just go home? I don't want to see your face!" Harsh words. He wasn't even sure he meant them, but he'd been thrown off his game by Ian's sudden appearance. How could he survive being roommates with a nerdy brat he didn't even like? There was no way. And there was also no way that he would back off first. If someone was going to leave this room, it would definitely be Ian.

Ian found himself rolling his eyes at the words pouring out of Raisel Leet. "Still the same self important prick form high school I see." The words where bitter as Ian pushed his way into the room and his travel case landed on the unclaimed bed with a thunk.

"I got in with my brains. Not my parents money. I worked to here, I doubt you did much to get here." Ian said his green eyes like wild green flames hidden behind his glasses as he turned to face the now shorter male. Ian remembered looking up into those cold eyes after he'd been knocked over for one thing or another.

The room was cramped, a bed on either wall and one window, part of the dark haired man had been looking forward to putting up some of his posters on the walls but now he was feeling bitter as he faced the other man.

He pushed some of his bangs out of his eyes he looked at Raisel, the other still looked like the bad boy that Ian remembered, though Ian was the taller one now and Ian found himself liking that he had at least this up on the other man, height that is. "What I can't believe is you even signed up for a shared dorm instead of the single ones. Or put in a request for who you wanted." He said as he crossed his arms over his shirt, the shirt that the word PRIDE in different colors scrolled across it. Not something he would have worn the last time the two of them met face to face.

"Brains huh?" Raisel snorted. "That always was the only thing you had going for you. Fucking nerd." The words came out before he even recognized them. He didn't even mean to act like such a dick, but the words came out anyway. Ian just got under his skin too much. Back in high school, he just went with the flow and kids like Ian always got the short end of the stick. It wasn't something Raisel intended to continue in college, but he apparently couldn't get away.

"Maybe there just weren't any single rooms left to request!" he shot back. Actually, he'd never even thought to try that. He'd ended up doing all his hunting, applications, and dorm set up by himself since he didn't pick where his father wanted him to go. His eyes sharpened on the shirt that Ian wore and for some reason, another flash of anger went through him. His words low and heated, he couldn't resist murmuring under his breath. "...Why do I have to share a room with this fag?"

Raisel bit off his words, pulling his gaze away to stare at the floor. Yes his parents paid to send him to college, but they didn't even so much as help him pack the car. His mother did try but he pushed her away, all too aware of the glare from his father's eyes. It was only the tuition they paid for. Raisel ended up working the whole summer just so he might have cash for himself. So really, whose parents did more in the end? He didn't say that though, only grabbed another hand full of clothes out of his footlocker and started shoving things in drawers, refusing to look Ian in the eye.

Ian rolled his eyes again at the muttered comment, he'd heard worse. His green eyes still held a fire in them as he turned to his bed and clicked open his travel case, he pulled out a laptop and its cords and set it on the small desk against the wall at the foot of the bed, it was one he had built himself of the past couple of years, building it up for this, it was a chunky hardcore laptop that would be able to handle the design programs and any coding he would need to do. Every birthday money and holiday bonus at his old movie store job had gone into the thick purple cased laptop.

A few of his course books where nestled among his hoddies and sweaters, a variety of colors compared to the plain stuff he'd worn before. Taking out some headphones and plugging then into his phone he turned on some music as he stuck the phone in his pocket and began to pull his cloths out and just chuck them on the naked bed in search of his Green Lantern sheets.

Ian could barely head the sounds form the other side of the room, a frown still on his face as his glasses slipped down his nose again and swore under his breath. Taking the thick framed off his nose he set them on his desk as he rubbed the bridge of his nose.Opening his eyes the room was a bit fuzzy but he was able to make things out with ease.

Once his Travel case was empty, the course books on the desk along with a old looking tablet and stylus pen, Ian plopped down in the chair, angled so he could watch the other man putter about. His music was still playing in his ears and he drummed his fingers against his leg to the beat as he squinted at the moving shape that was Raisel. "He really hasn't changed that much since graduation....bastard." A deep frown was settled onto his tanned face.

Raisel grumbled to himself as Ian unpacked his own things without paying him any attention. He didn't consider the conversation done and yet the other man ignored him as if it was. Before he finished shoving his clothes into the drawers, Raisel turned away, already looking for something else. He'd about had it and he did mean it when he said he couldn't share a room with a fag. Well, no, it wasn't because Ian was gay. He wasn't that much of a dick no matter what he said in high school. Everyone said that. It was because Ian was Ian that Raisel couldn't share a room with him.

Finally, in the bottom of his backpack, he found the object he'd been looking for. A wild grin took over Raisel's face as he hefted the roll of masking tape into one hand. If Ian didn't want to continue this argument, then Raisel was just going to skip right to the end results. With single minded determinations, he snapped out a length of the tape and started laying it down. From the door which lay right on the middle point of the room and slowly across the linoleum tiled floors, he started to cut the room in half. Let Ian ignore him now.

Ian frowned more and grabbed his glasses and slowly the world came back into focus and what he saw just stoked the anger. "Your seriously pulling some petty stuff here Leet. Really a line of tape.' Ian huffed his glasses fogging for the briefest of moments before he continued ' If that's how you want to play this." The words where spoken with thunder behind them as the taller male stood up and glared down at the shorter male.

"Since it seems we're begin children, I'm reserving the right to punch your ugly mug if you so much as put a toe over this little line you've made. It's gonna be along semester." He said with a glare and feeling a bit of a headache forming in the back of his head he grabbed his dorm key and his phone before storming out of the room and slamming the door behind him.

Ian groaned and rested against the hall wall and rubbed his forehead. "Dam it I need a coffee....." he grumbled to himself and then went in hunt of a coffee shop at one of those vending coffee machines.

Raisel felt uneasy for half a second with Ian look down at him from his taller high. Damn, why did he have to grow so much over the summer? Even if it was only a couple inches, it made him nervous for no good reason at all. It wasn't like Raisel felt afraid. Pulling back, he grunted and made an even more dramatic show of placing the tape down. "Yeah, I guess we are going to be children like that. Likewise, to you. If you step foot on my side, I'm seriously going to punch you!" Maybe. Probably. The last time he hit someone, he hurt his hand, but that wasn't the point since no one knew he wasn't really a fighter. He talked tough enough for it.

As Ian stormed out, Raisel sighed and let himself deflate. Indeed, it would be a long semester, but he couldn't stop this thing that he'd started. With the same determination as before, he continued his line of tape until it crossed the entire room and went up the wall up to the height of the desks. The bathroom was communal down the hall so he didn't have to worry about that and he felt pleased that the slightly off center window mostly landed on his side of the room. Dropping down onto the bed again, he stared out it, seeing clouds blocking part of his view now. He supposed he should finish unpacking. When Monday came, classes would start and he wanted to be ready. Besides, there was supposed to be some kind of freshman mixer on campus tonight. If it ended anything like a party, he would be there for sure.

Ian had found a coffee shop, a quirky place called The Brew. The dark hared man fell in love with the place, bought himself a large pumpkin spice latte just because he felt like it, the barista flirted a bit with him after seeing his shirt. Ian had giving a roughs smile and flirted back a bit.

Ian sat in The Brew sipping his warm bean juice and played on his phone a bit, texted his sister to see how she was doing without him reminding her that he woudl be back home faster then the Flash if she needed him. She had cheekily texted back saying that she was fine and he should enjoy himself, mingle, go to at least one party this semester before he went full on workaholic.

He smiled at that before looking down at his cloths and sighed, he guessed he should wear something a bit more...mixer like for the one going on tonight. Standing he finished off his coffee and headed back to the dorms. He'd just grab some nicer cloths and his comb then head to the showers. First impressions where important....he steeled himself to keep his face neutral as he unlocked and opened the door.

Raisel had finished unpacking, leaving his side of the room distinctly...blue. Blue sheets with a navy comforter, blue table lamp with the textbooks left on the floor underneath it, organized like he didn't plan to use them. He'd stuck a miniature set of drawers underneath it with various things all closed in tight. And definitely, not a single thing crossed the line. Raisel himself was just flinging his black leather jacket over his shoulders though. He'd changed his shirt from a solid black long-sleeved one to a grey gradient tee which looked far more chic with his black cord necklace easily visible over it.

Turning, his eyes sharpened on Ian for a second before turning away again, clearly intent on ignoring his roommate. With his jacket in place, he stuck his feet quickly into the pair of combat boots sitting by the door and flung his hair back, revealing the eyebrow piercing there. "I'm going out. If you touch anything while I'm gone, I'll kill you." With those parting words, he pushed past Ian and out of the room, already storming down the hall toward the late afternoon light outside. He wanted to enjoy the light before the mixer started at six.

Ian rolled his eyes, that was becoming bad habit it seamed he rummaged through his pile of cloths on the bed, he's sort them into the dresser later tonight. He found a fitted graphic T , his favorite pair of ripped skinny jeans and his a lime green beanie, he also managed to find the pair of triforce painted converse shoes his sister had painted for him for his last birthday. The LoZ series was what got him into gaming all those years ago as a child.

Gathering the cloths and his comb he stuffed his phone and key into his pockets he left the dorm, locking the door behind him before heading to the showers. He washed up quickly and threw his new cloths on, running the comb through his hair as best he could before sticking the beanie on top of his messy hair and gathering his worn cloths, he checked his phone and saw he could make it a bit early if he walked now, so he put his worn cloths on the desk chair on his side of the room.

Ian eye'd the taped line with a frown and rubbed his forehead, he knew that Raisel didn't like to be ignored....at the time it had seamed to be the best thing to do since Ian really didn't want to fight with his roommate on the first day.... He couldn't stop himself though as the blue eye'd man just set off all Ian's buttons the wrong way. With a sigh he left the room again, phone and key in his pants pockets before heading to the building the mixer was supposed to take place in.

The green eyed male had become more comfortable in what he chose to wear since coming out, he still hated his glasses though, the thick frames were always sliding down his nose, even now as he walked he'd had to push them back up stubbornly twice. " I hope I fine some of the guys in my classes.... better to make friends with fellow gamers." he said rubbing the back of his neck.

The mixer took place in what was called the 'ballroom' on campus. Larger functions and dances took place there, but mostly it was set up for things far different than ballroom dancing. Like now, the room was already crammed with students, all freshman seeking to make friends even without the help of alcohol. Raisel slipped inside ten minutes after six, loud music helping to guide his way. He'd managed to miss the quick introduction that the school's dean had said before turning things over to the current music choice. Which...wasn't bad for a school function. A little outdated perhaps, and then overly hip the next song, but still tolerable.

Raisel walked in with a grin on his face and an absolute readiness to have fun. Skipping the table of food, he started mingling right off the bat. He didn't find it difficult to join a group of two guys and a girl that had already started talking together, the intriguing black and lime green dye job on one of the guy's drawing Raisel's attention. Before long they were lost in conversation and all thoughts of his shitty roommate situation were completely forgotten. It didn't even occur to Raisel that Ian might be at the mixer as the night slowly started to drag on.

Ian was with a small group of nerdy looking people, he was grinning a bit sheepishly when one guy while a LoZ shirt noticed his shoes and had gone a bit nuts. "Your SISTER painted them! They look so cool!!!" the guy gushed and Ian laughed.

"She's always had a artists touch....she turns anything into a canvas." Ian said with a bit of pride for his sister. They had to almost shout over the music that pulsed around them and yup, Ian already had a head ache... the pulsing part of the music wasnt helping.
Not one bit, after a while of joking and nerding out, and finding out that three of these guys were in the same classes as him, Ian excused himself to get some fresh air. He wasnt used to all this socializing even with people who liked the same things as him.

Ian leaned himself back on the outside wall of the ballroom, he took his glasses off and rubbed the bridge of his nose trying to massage the ache away. "Knew I should have brought s Advil with me....I don't know how people can stand all that pulsing in their ears...." He grumbled to himself as he slipped his glasses back on and brought the world back into focus.

He'd already gotten the numbers of his new friends and they all planned to sit together in their classes, apparently that made the chances of being grouped together later in the year better. Ian braced himself as he turned to go back into the room, he'd put up with a few more minutes of this before excusing himself to go back to his dorm. As he was walking he wasnt really looking where he was going and didn't see that he was on a collision course with someone.

The problem with parties was Raisel met girls. He liked that, but somehow, it always went so poorly. This party, which wasn't even a real party, offered no exception. After thirty minutes of hanging with the new groups of guys he found, already sure that Josh and Raul would become best friends of his, a girl bumped into him from behind. Black hair to her calves, left half-down in this messy, styled braid, all she needed to do was tilt her head back to meet his eyes and he lost it. "M...Marielle?" Raisel felt himself freeze, only recovering when Josh hooted, sidling up next to him with an appreciating eye.

"Damn, Rais. You know her? That's my type, ya know," Josh chuckled. After meeting Raisel's eye though, the girl pulled away, perhaps quicker than necessary. Without a doubt, she recognized him. Raisel almost sunk to the floor with that knowledge. Except, his body did the exact opposite instead. "Raisel? Wha....hey dude, what are you doing?!"

Raisel already took off through the crowd, ignoring the call thrown after him. Josh be damned, and girls, and whatever. He called after Marielle, determined to be heard over the music. "Mari! Hey, wait up! I want to talk to you!" he yelled, only managing to catch up to her when they reached the refreshment table and he basically cornered her off. The girl spun, dark eyes livid when they met his. However, he tried to placate the look with a smile and carefully chosen words. "You know I really liked you right? I can't believe that we went to the same university. Why didn't you say anything?"

"Why would I?!" she snapped in his face. Rather than placated, she looked even more livid. "You already had another girl last I checked. Or were you even dating her at the same time as me? What do you want me to say here?" Letting out an exasperated groan, her eyes softened for half a second. Eyes pleading, Raisel stepped toward her. Marielle skirted her way toward the door in reaction.

"Look, no. It wasn't like that at all. Marielle, I-" She managed to make it out the nearby door and the sudden quiet there made his words stand out even more. "That girl and I aren't together anymore so I really want to go out with you again!" Just as soon as he'd said the words though, someone bumped into him from behind and he stumbled, almost taking Marielle down with him. At the last second though, she ducked to the side, head held high as he fought for his balance.

"I'm leaving. Please don't follow me, Raisel."

Floored by her words, Raisel watched Marielle hurry away, surprised beyond belief at the rejection. If it was rejection. Probably, but not concrete, or final. Maybe he could try again in a week? Finally, he spun, looking for whoever interrupted his conversation.

Ian shook his head a bit to reorient himself after he bumped into someone, he noticed that his fumble almost knocked down a girl that looked familliar, he didn't have time to get a good looke before the girl ook off, it took him a moment to noticed WHO is was he bumped into.

'Of all the unlucky days.....'
He though bitterly but his parents had raised him to apologize if he was in the wrong... and Ian had been the one to bump into Raisel. "Sorry...Can't think or see to straight with all this going on." Ian gestured to the dancing lights and the speakers that pulsed music.

His glasses had slipped down his nose again, making the world around him blurred, though the shape and colors that defined Raisel where a bit sharper considering how close the two men where at the moment. Pushing them back up he heard someone call his name and tilting his head back for a moment he saw one of his new friends waving to him.... a slightly chubby guy in a dress shirt and a bow tie....so that made it Jackie. Ian waved back before facing Raisel again.

"Look... sorry again for bumping into you. I gotta go." He said and turned on his heels and headed towards his friends. The less he spoke to the blue eye'd man the better at this point...besides... Ian kinda looked forward to annoying the other with how late he'd be staying up either gaming himself or working on his homework. After bidding his friends a good night and after exchanging all their phone numbers between them, Ian headed back towards the dorm for some Advil and maybe catching up with his favorite comics for a bit longer before he'd fall asleep.

When he got back to the dorm he took a a bottled water form his messenger bag and rummaged aroudn for his advil in said bag.
Once found one of the blue pills was quickly swallowed and then Ian pulled his wall lamp from his travel case, it stuck to the wall above his bed with ease and plugged into a socket that was near the floor at the head of his bed, on his side of the tape too.
It didn't take long for Ian to quickly change into his pajama's and put his glasses in their case on his desk and crawl into bed with a comic book in hand. The green eye'd male let the blurry words and colors lull him to sleep, his phone set to wake him up two hours before his first class.

His first class started at 10 a.m later then a lot of classes, but this course was designed to try and accommodate the late nights the students woudl be working under it's load. With that in mind Ian found himself falling asleep on his cluttered bed half under his cover with his comic book having fallen onto his chest.

Raisel's expression darkened even more when he realized just who spoke to him. This guy? Why did it have to be Ian in a crowd of this many other freshman students? Did the universe actually hate him that much? On nights like this, Raisel was inclined to believe that. "Yeah, you better be sorry," he hissed back. The bite in his voice came out weak though. He was shaken, his mind still captured by Marielle and her shocking rejection? Was he really hated that much even after they broke up almost a year ago at this point? They had been good...for a while. He sighed spinning away from Ian as the other boy greeted his friend, clearly not interested in an actual conversation with Raisel. Which was fine, since he wasn't either.

"Damn idiot..." Murmuring those words after Ian hurried away, he pulled his pack of cigarettes from his back pocket and lit one. Standing there by himself away from the mixer's noise, he let the nicotine cool his mind more than anyone's words could. When he'd finished it, he flicked the butt to the ground just because he could even with a trashcan nearby and stalked back to the room. He glowered to see that Ian reached the room first and appeared to be reading in his bed. Raisel kicked his shoes off and tossed aside his shirt, crawling under his covers like that. He wanted to sleep, but he didn't want to speak to Ian either. However, that proved more difficult than necessary.

After ten or fifteen minutes, he turned over his shoulder to give his roommate a look. However, he found that Ian had already fallen asleep. Huffing to himself, he flopped over again, his guile rising even more. "If you're going to sleep, at least turn off the light," he muttered. In any other situation, he would turn it off for Ian, but he drew the line between them. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't reach the light without crossing that line. And hell if he would cross it first and break this in only one day. So, even the lamp glow bothering him, he fell asleep.

It wasn't a long sleep either. When the first bit of sunlight stretched in through the window, Raisel woke again. His mind was clear and seeing that light, he couldn't help but feel a little excited. Gathering his things and the bag with his camera from under the desk, he left the room, not bothering to keep quiet. Before his first class, he wanted to find the best view. And if it bothered Ian to wake this early, then even better.

When loud movement woke Ian well before his alarm the first emotion he felt was confusion, then anger when his tried brain realized who it was that was making a racket. Tired and blurred green eyes peered out from the nest of blankets on Ian's bed and glared at the blurred shape that was Raisel.

Reaching a hand out to his phone he peered at the numbers, squinting his eyes till they became clear and Ian swore. "Really I just HAD to be roomed with a early bird."
his accent was rough from him still being half asleep as he tucked himself back into his bed for a few more hours.

Ian's alarm went off on time and the dark haired yougn man pulled himself out of his bed, grabbed some cloths and headed to the showers. It didn't take him long to get ready and he let out a yawn as he got back to his dorm room. Ian put his laptop and a black note book with some pens into his messenger bag before heading down to the communal kitchen area for the yougn adults in the dorms.

The green eyed man still had an hour till his class started, and already he met his new friends at a table for breakfast and comparing their strengths and things like that. Jackie was impressed with Ian's laptop and they where all more then a little impressed that he built it himself. Though the one among them with the most tech skills was a tall black man named Nick.

When the time came the group moved together to their classroom passing other groups. "Hey Ian weren't you talking to that guy last night?" Jackie asked and pointed to a group of students just ahead of them. Looking towards the group Ian sighed spotting a familiar head of hair with orange streaks.

"He's my room mate....it wasn't a good conversation." He said before the group entered their classroom. Ian settled in for a long day of introductions and hopefully some new techniques he woudl be able to use.

The blue sky fit perfectly in Raisel's viewfinder. The old school Leica model camera he used felt familiar in his hands. Even though it used traditional film, a totally obsolete thing by now, he felt pride in the camera that he bought with his own money. Lying on his back on one of the benches set in the grassy area outside of the cafeteria. He planned to grab a bagel later, but the rising sun left streaks of rosy color against the deep blue above it. Snapping a series of pictures over the minutes it took for the sun to rise and the sky to turn a lighter shade of blue, he ignored the rest of the world. This wonderful thing above him entranced his heart so much. It was a pity that he couldn't stand to get nearer to it.

When he finally put his camera back in its soft carry case, he noticed the morning bustle happening around him. Students moved all around the center of campus, many going to the cafeteria while others went straight to their early morning classes. He only had an art history in the morning then a long photography lab later, so he still felt no rush to get moving. Tomorrow would be different considering the very early section of the bland freshman orientation class all were required to take. He didn't mind the time so much as the class itself. Why would he get up for that?

Sighing, he pushed himself away from the bench and grabbed a bagel before heading to the main classroom building also set in the middle of campus. Although he stopped to talk with a few people on the way, he moved quickly, more interested than anything at seeing what the class' syllabus would be. Study? Eh, but if there was a project, he wanted to think about it from the start. Not noticing Ian as they crossed paths, he found the right room and settled down, waiting for the long day to pass.

The day passed swiftly for Ian who was enjoying the first day of classes, one of his professors wanted them to draw quick references for a random type of character, they had to draw these from a hat so many of the students had to draw something they might struggle with. The professor wanted to see what she had to work on with then when it came to concepts, she said they could use any style they felt comfortable with for this one.

Ian already knew that he was going to go for a overly cartoon style. He'd gotten a fairy character... so he'd been doodling in his sketchbook every free chance he got and had a few scribbles crossed out by the end of classes. "I can't believe got ogre in concept class." Jackie complained, he wasnt that good of a artist on 2D, he also seamed to only model hot 3D girls, he'd shown them some at lunch.

"I bet you can come up with something, I have a book of reference poses if you want to borrow it for inspiration." Ian said patting his new friends shoulder. "We can grab it from my dorm before we get some food." Ian added as his stomach grumbled. He and his group of friends where planning of hitting up a small pub style restaurant that was within walking distance from their dorms.

The green eyed male knew he wouldn't be able to stay out late. They had those freshmen orientation classes tomorrow, as much as he loved to sleep in he didn't want to miss any classes. His scholarship allowed for very few sick or skipped days so he would have to get used to getting up early again.

It didn't take long to grab the book he was loaning Jackie before they headed to the restaurant. Sure enough the inside reminded Ian of the old pub his grandparents owned back in Scotland, he just hoped the food was suitably fried to match the decor. There where many other students here and they passes many tables on their way to sit in one of the open booths.

After a dinner with his new friends at the cafeteria, Raisel headed back to the dorm room. He wanted to run into Marielle again, he hoped for it, anyway. All through dinner he looked out over the crowd for the petite girl with striking hair. Never once did he catch a glance though and half way through his second helping of pizza and too much talk about hot girls, Josh was already done with him. It was a poor ending to a good day, but still, he tried not to let it bring him down too much as he headed back to the dorm. If he was lucky, Ian wouldn't be there.

As luck would have it, Raisel found himself alone in the room. the line of tape he made stood out starkly against the floor and for a minute, he stared at it, lost. How did things come to this? He wanted to enjoy college. All he came to do was have fun, but then that nerd guy went and ruined it. Well, he lost his temper first. "Damn..." Grinding the heel of his hand against his forehead, Raisel cursed as much at himself as at Ian or whatever cruel circumstances led to this. It wasn't like he meant to get angry or make enemies like this. Every time he opened his mouth though, it just happened.

Settling on his bed, he looked through papers for a while. He was quick to put aside things he didn't want to work on though. Only for photography did he settle into his work. He needed to start a series, all themed around one object, different sizes, paper, and equipment though. He knew in an instant what he would photograph. Hawks nested just off of campus in an abandoned power line pole and he'd seen them flying in the morning. No doubt he would see them again.

His work done, Raisel turned off the lights and just started to settle into bed at 9:30, for a minute, forgetting that his roommate had yet to come home. It must sounded so peaceful he couldn't help but listen to the call of sleep. Classes started early he still wanted to wake with dawn, at least, if he could help it.

Ian didn't get back to the dorm till close to midnight, slightly tipsy as his new friends all wanted to drink to the coming school years. He'd told them he couldn't get smashed, a promise he'd made his sister before he'd left. So the dark haired man fumbled with his keys trying to jam the wrong key into the lock a few time before he finally found the right one and open the door. He stumbled a bit as even tipsy he was trying to avoid that stupid line... it was a glaring contrast to the color of the dorm floor and it irritated the green eyed male that it was such a contrast in colors...

His phone rang in his pocket and he swore loudly as he dug it out and squinted at the numbers flashing on teh screen before sighing. It was his sister, so he flopped down onto his bed and slid his phone to unlock to answer the call. "You should be asleep little Bee." His voice was sluggish and his sister said the same to him.

"I really hope your not drunk Ian, and it's fine I need to switch it up for the grave yard shifts I'm picking up on the weekends at the store." His sister said mater of factually and Ian couldn't help but smile. His sister worked for a art supplies store and used her small employee discount to her advantage when she needed supplies. The store was open 24/7, a new thing that the owner was trying because you never know when you'll need that specific color of... what ever you needed.

"Not drunk, tipsy... I had just as much water... Should crash soon, got some orientation shi-..... stuff tomorrow." Ian cut himself off form swearing and he smiled when his sister giggled, both their parents swore around them and Ian had swore a lot at home, though he tried to either cover his sister ears up as a kid or just to not swear around her... she though it was cute of him to be the protective brother when she already knew all those words.

The McLocke siblings didn't talk for much longer and Ian ended the call and slipped his fingers under his glasses and onto the bridge of his nose and groaned.... he wasn't sleepy at all. The Scottish youth felt wired but he knew he needed to sleep to catch the classes on time. Gods he really hated getting up early. Opening his green eyes to look at the blank ceiling he sighed and got up, striped out of his cloths, not at all caring if his room mate was awake or not at this point and changed into his more comfortable sleeping cloths before he buried himself under his covers and attempted to sleep.

High winds tore at Raisel's clothing, leaving his natural brown hair whipping against his face. The short strands bit in, causing as much discomfort as the faint drizzle that came with the wind. He yelled, but the sound got lost. He yelled, and yelled, and yelled, but no one ever came. Why couldn't he make his voice heard? Just as the wind seemed to pick up even more, the sound of a door creaking open echoed through the familiar nightmare. Raisel turned, his body freezing at this sign that someone might hear as he yelled. As the door shut though and conversation filtered in, drowning out his own dream, he couldn't bring himself to call out.

Raisel blinked his eyes open, the dream already gone even before he really woke. Ian came back, right? Glancing to the side without hinting that he might be awake, Raisel looked at the time on his digital clock. He winced, but still lay frozen in his bed, refusing to show he woke up because of this idiot. Why? Maybe because his heart still raced and his skin felt clammy underneath his soft cotton sheets. Listening to the end of a phone conversation and then the noise of a person getting ready for bed made it easier though. Easier to hide his heart beat? Or calm it? Raisel wasn't really sure. He just knew that when Ian finally crawled into his own bed and fell asleep, Raisel never calmed down all the way.

When the sun rose in the far distance, he still lay awake. Raisel rolled over, staring for a second across the tape line just barely visible in the hazy light. Ian lay fast asleep, looking so content after having fun last night. It wasn't fair right? Raisel made up his mind that he would do the same tonight. Go out, party, keep his roommate up until after midnight because fuck if he cared. It wasn't like he would sleep anyway when things were like this. He really did hate the start of any new school year. Grabbing his stuff, he headed for the bathroom, not as intent on making noise as yesterday. In reality, he fled the room in one minute just as soon as morning struck. The orientation class started early and he wanted to take pictures before it anyway.
