I haven't been to a bar in a few years. That definitely gets boring. Especially when you're in a relationship and aren't with your significant other at the bar. Some guys don't care about wedding rings when hitting on women in bars.

I drink but I don't really like to in public. ;v; I do basically the same thing at home. Been wanting to start a new book series, but I'm so picky I haven't found one I want to dedicate time to.

I will have a drink at dinner depending on who I'm with, but it's got to be something sweet and fruity and not very alcoholic. Alcohol just irritates my throat, so why would I want to drink lots? Smoke too. My mom and I went casino hopping the other day just to go shopping, not to actually gamble XD But just walking through the smokey areas made my throat hurt so much. Ugh.

On the bright side, some lady gave us floor seat tickets to the sold out Idina Menzel show, so we got to see her :D

I really like adventure/sci-fi stories. c:
I went through a really bad drinking phase so now I'm really sensitive and just can't handle anything strong.

Anyway, I have to run off to work now. Byeee~

My husband and I go gambling sometimes. I hate when someone gets right by you and lights a cigarette. I like fruity drinks, too. I lean more towards a screwdriver of a sex on the beach. I prefer more juice than alcohol.

A free Idina Menzel concert is awesome. I had some free tickets to Weird Al Yankovic at the Hard Rock, but I gave them to my brothers.

Good night, Fable.

Bye bye Fable! Have a nice shift.

Aww man! I wanted to see Weird Al! But the tickets at the casino sold out super quick. I love him. Maybe next time.

I really only go to bingo with my friends once in a while and it's kind of the worst since we sit in the smoking hall and ugh. And I never win either. D: I just like buying food in the Chinese bakery they have there and poking my head in the shops.

Here the Hard Rock gives out tickets all the time. My oldest brother is in love with Weird Al. He's always listening to him. So, I gave him the tickets.

Bingo sounds like it would be fun. Cigarette smoke gets suffocating, though.

I bet he had a great time :D

There is a non-smoking room, but it's just a few tables that fill up quick with little old ladies. I think it would be a lot more fun if the room wasn't full of "professional" bingo players, like the people who are there once, twice, three, seven times a week. They lay out their five hundred inks and fifty cards with all the specials and it just feels intimidating. I have trouble keeping up with the normal cards I have, let along buying all the extra cards! It's fun if you go with friends, but I'd never go alone.

xD That does sound intimidating. I'd probably be doing good if I were able to keep up with two cards.

The cards at the place I go to has a bunch of little cards on one big card, so it's 9 or 12 cards per page/game. It gets crazy!

Yeah, and the rounds go pretty fast. I always feel like I'm missing numbers sometimes trying to scan the cards really quick and mark them all. It can be fun, but you're there for about four hours in the smoke and noise. It's why I don't feel like I need to do it very often. I only do it if a friend wants to.

I didn't realize the games went on for so long. I only know one person that goes to Bingo, but we're not close friends. Maybe I should take my mom.

I think little local bingo games, like bingo at my grandmother's retirement home and stuff, don't run as long as giant casino bingo. But that's the only bingo I've been to.

And it's not just a straight up bingo, they want you to make all these shapes and crap. It gets complicated. Double postage stamp. X. Martini glass. Pyramid. Double Bingo. x_x

Wow. I would be so lost.

My mom's in a rehab center right now following open heart surgery, and I've been trying to get her to play Bingo and join in with others her age while she's there. I think it would be good for her to be social with others in her age range.

It is confusing. And I've never won. But I can dream right. Maybe one day I can call bingo.

I'm sure they play the easy kind of bingo at the rehab center. So they can talk and have fun while they do it. :)

What kind of prizes are given away at the bingo?

Yeah, I'm sure they do. It's hard to convince her to join in, though.

Money. The jackpot can be larger if you win within a certain number of turns. They might do prize bingos, but I don't go enough to know. Sometimes they put people in one of those money booths where you have to grab as much as you can. But they make them grab it and stuff it out a tiny slot, so they are never able to get that much.

The machine sounds like a scam. I'd be mad trying to fit all the money out of a tiny slot.

Well, I guess you are guaranteed to win more than you paid for entry? It costs $15 for a normal pack of bingo cards, but when the prizes are bigger, they'll charge more for admission. And it costs more if you get the special cards or if you play video bingo. Some people will do all of those at once!

I haven't played bingo in person, not even once. Closest thing to that is a bingo app and thats all. I wouldn't mind trying it one day.

The only bingo I have ever played was the board game type with my sister and friend.

Bingo is not exclusively an old people thing, but a lot of old people with no hobbies seem to take up gambling. And it's easy. They do bingo at the retirement homes. Then buses take them out to casinos. We have one or two casinos in the state and then two really big casinos an hour away, which is where I've played bingo.
