It's no problem! We love to help out!

I'mma take my son for a stroll as the storm rolls in so we can enjoy the rain and thunder together. I'll be back in a little while.

Have fun! I'm back for a little bit while the chops soak up some of the seasoning I just put on them. ^_^

Very cute Lin! ^_^

I put my porkchops away so I wouldn't be tempted to eat the now. lol. They are for this week while I've got no way to cook. I had beans and weenies for lupper so I'm not hungry but those chops smelled SO good while they were cooking.

"Suddenly Salad?" What's that?

I have so many threads to keep up with! It's doing wonders for my gold count. :D I kind of miss the event - having someone to talk to at all hours of the day was fun.

I'm good.

Yes, Lore. I thought it was a good idea too. Piggly Wiggly has a nifty deal on meat so I got the chops pretty cheap. There are five of them so if I only eat one per day (with sammiches for my other meals) they'll last the whole work week. I'll probably be coming back to my roomie's mom's house on the weekends to shower and cook and such....and just to have a break from the lack of electricity.

I'm going to go to church with my roomie tomorrow. That should be interesting. O_o' I haven't been to church in a long time. Hubby hasn't been much for leaving the house and I've been afraid to leave him alone....plus gas is expensive and it is hard finding a church that doesn't judge us on sight. I'm also not really Baptist anymore, my beliefs lean more towards pentacostal...so I'm not sure how at home I'll feel....we'll see, ne? ^_^

I don't really understand why denominations of the church have problems with each other, Boo. Isn't a Christian a Christian no matter what church they go to? I'd expect to be judged by a church for being alternative or queer or in a non-monogamous relationship or something really out there but not for a being a different brand of Christian.

I was raised Presbyterian but I didn't really take to the church culture so I'm not always sure of how these things work.

I don't understand it either. It isn't a very Christian attitude really. *shrugs* I was raised Baptist but am now more just generally Christian with Pentacostal leanings. The source of the weirdness between Baptists and Pentacostals is that most Baptists don't believe that the gifts of the spirit (healing, speaking in tongues, prophecy, etcetera) continued to appear after the first Christians died. Therefore Pentacostals appear to be crazy to a strict Baptist (and to a lot of other Christians) because they do all of those things. They also believe in dancing and shouting and generally being a lot more vocal in worship than most Baptists I've known.

Church wasn't bad though. It felt a lot like the small Baptist Church I grew up in. *shrugs* The people were really nice and I talked to the pastor after service about the mess I've got going on. He said he would try and see what they could do to help.
