Yet another medical show, graced with the ingenious and witty Hugh Laurie!
After all, who can hate a limping doctor who downs Vicodin like water?

House MD is a currently ongoing TV series on FOX Broadcasting Co. It's in its 3rd season and going strong! Hugh Laurie (who plays the main character, House) won a Golden Globe not too long ago. Well deserved!

  • He's in constant pain, which is why the vicodin x3.

I have a hard time watching it because it really grosses me out, but the character thoroughly intrigues me.

he gets his leg fixed as well, while he undergoes surgery for the gun wound. He walks and runs for a few episodes in season two, but his leg goes bad again. and his vicodin reliance becomes an addiction, pretty much.

@poet`s plaground : It's half necessary half addiction XD

I find the surgeries fascinating because I guess I'm used to seeing blood and all on tv. But yea, the characters are the best part of the show.

Yes, I'm aware of that x3.
I just started watching it because my friend would go offline to watch it and I'd turn it on to pass the time, haha. It's not a bad show though, I like Hugh. House is an absolute ass, though.
I always have to cover my eyes, though, and sometimes my ears Dx from what's going on, I'm so sensitive about that stuff. And I don't really watch t.v. anyway.

Hugh was just perfect to play the part
http://youtube.com/watch?v=hJUwTAGYOSg
His casting call :D

Yea. Some parts are pretty graphic. Like this one episode, a kid think's an alien implanted chips into the back of his neck, so he locks himself in a bathroom and tries to... remove it with a knife DX

I love that show *points to username* :D

I don't mind the real graphic scenes, they're cool. I think the best one so far was in the s2 finale when that guy's eye pops out and right at the very end when House goes crazy with the robot, cuts the guy open and you see all his organs pop out.

Hugh does an excellent job of playing House, I don't think anyone could do any better. He just fits it so perfectly.

They just aired s3, ep2 over here (yes we're that behind over here in Australia), and that whole "Hey Foreman, your momma's so fat that when her beeper goes off, people think she's backing up." cracked me up. I think that was probably one of my favourite scenes~

Even reading/hearing about the graphic scenes bugs me out.

Hahaha XD

Chase is so awkwardly funny. I can't help but feel a slight dislike for Foreman though. He's just so thickheaded and stubbornly mean sometimes D:

Hugh Laurie by far is an amazing actor. I'd like to think the part was made for him haha

I used to love Jesse Spencer when he was on Neighbours {Aussie soap} but then he left... but I'm glad he's back on tv. XD

I think it's kind of funny that there's a random Aussie intern x3.

And I still have a hard time keeping up with the names on that show XD.

It's odd how strong his accent is in that show, it seemed so normal when he was on Neighbours. D:

Yeah, I find it especially funny that there's an Aussie intern since the main character isn't naturally American XD. My friend (the one who got me watching) showed me some clips of Fry and Laurie on YouTube and they were hilarious XD. His natural accent is cool. I wonder how accustomed to speaking with an American accent he is...

mmhm. It saddens me that I rarely can catch the show on Tuesday nights because of school work.
I need more of House's biting sarcasm D:

I wouldn't like meaner D: cause I can just stand it as it is, I can only stand a certain amount of cruelty in my entertainment >.<.

I can't stand watching people be absolutely cruel to other people. It's painful to watch Dx. Plus, it makes me angry at the world...
But when you know that the person really does have a heart, it's okay.
