What if Squall never existed....what if he and his friends never became heros....what if others took their place? It has been years since the fight with Ultimecia, and everything has returned to what people hoped was a time of peace. The Gardens were reopened, and classes began as usual. Towns rebuilt, and new lives began once again. Everything was going perfectly for the worlds inhabitants. Then, the war started. It seemed, that a rebellious army to the west had been growing over time, training soldiers of their own, and collecting GFs to use to their advantages. They began to spread on the beliefs that the SeeDs were corrupted, and that they themselves were building their own army to take over. People were appalled, and frightened as well. They had seen what the SeeDs were capable of, and just as much of what the enemy was capable of as well, as fights began to brake out. The nations were eventually split into two countries, the Republic, under the control of the opposing army, holding Galbadia and Trabia. The SeeD forces hold Esthar, and Balamb. The remaining landmass is small and mostly desolate, riddled with rough, rocky terrain caused by the impact of a "Lunar Cry". This area has been overdrawn with monsters lately, and so is rairly visited other then to bring back monsters for training, or for the bravest of the brave.

Since then, a sort of uneasy peace has broken out between the two ruling armies. Small but intense battles are known to brake out in various places within either side, as both fight to gain an upper hand against the other. Many question though, where this all came from and spawned. There are rumors, that deep within the beast continent, a Sorcerer has begun to stir things around for mysterious reasons. No one knows why, and it is just mostly a rumor, since no sorcery has been seen in the world, since Ultimecia. As the story progresses however, the rumors will become more of a reality. Eventually a series of soldiers are put together, to find and stop this Sorcerer, before history can repeat itself. This is an ironic point of view, for as the soldiers move in, the sorcerer hatches out a plan of his own, to make sure the SeeDs never happen, and his power is absolute. He wipes out many, before driving himself back into the past as had been attempted before. This time however, others are drawn back with him, placed in the bodies of influential people of that time. They are inexperienced, and the Sorcerer hopes that the shift in the time line will play to his advantage, he seeks to rewrite history, erasing the SeeDs and the future permanently. It is up to the others sent back to either stop him, or fall.
