I saw the litterbox thing, and I too honestly thought they just somehow knew to use it.

It is somewhat based on natural instincts but they do have to be shown a couple times where it is (generally accomplished by dropping them into it) and they have to be corrected if they go on the floor or something.

It helps if an adult cat is around to show them the ropes. My cat, for example was abandoned really young. She still doesn't understand the concept of scratching the litter over her poo when she's done. She scratches at the plastic box and the floor around it instead. *shakes head* I have to go behind her with the scooper and scrape litter over her mess. Gross.

Our house isn't especially festive this year.

*nods* Yeah, my cat isn't super smart sometimes. lol. We love her anyway. She is our baby.

Mine either. I put up a handful of ornaments (hanging on old pictures hanging nails that never got removed) and that is all.

I got the last of my shopping done today. The shops were scary today.

I haven't done any shopping, that requires money. lol. I'm making most of the gifts we are giving this year.

Interesting. We used to draw names at Thanksgiving but the past two years we haven't even done that. It's sort of upsetting but everyone is broke so I understand.
