"We've learned to fully test our pranks before we put them into action. Not that it sounds much better that way but we can make sure no one gets hurt." He chuckled. "But we'll have too try this later maybe on our next free period."

She purred slightly and rolled over onto her back and stretched out as her tail swayed.

Mel shivered a bit and tugged on her clothes. "I hate cold.." She blinked and looked over. "Maybe it's a magic door~" She waved her hands a bit and giggled.

"Well we do technically have one of those but I don't think it would appear here." He laughed. He then sat down on a couch. "So how do you like your first day at Hogwarts? I'm sure you're looking forward to classes tomorrow."

"Yay. Class.." Her nose twitched staring at the fire. School isn't going to be that bad. They're in a magic school. They're doomed. Mel rubbed her forehead muttering to herself. "I have to agree with Kayko.." Mel whispered to herself. At least you made friends. Mel nodded a bit and stretched laying back on the floor looking back at everyone.

She smiled and cooed softly to Lilly, rubbing her belly gently as she hummed softly before looking up and wrinkling her nose. "Well, I can't say I'm excited.. but it's school.. who would be excited for it?" She giggled and shook her head. "Granted I think our schedules may have some conflicts.. but we'll just have to talk about it with Uncle..." She glanced at Mel.

He laughed softly. "You just got here and you think you'll have conflicts in your schedule..?" He smiled and shook his head. "Though I think the headmaster would be able to help you in anyway he can." He smiled. "But I don't think your schedule should be too bad, you'd have similar classes to ours right?"

She nodded smiling softly. That's what I'm afraid of...

He grinned softly. "Oh and there's a dueling meeting tomorrow, maybe you two would like to watch..?"

She blinked a bit. "We.. don't have to participate do we..? We don't have wands..."

He laughed softly. "No, you don't have to participate, but it may be fun to watch."

Lilly pawed at the air and shifted a bit.

"It's a lot more interesting then a muggle school though." Fred laughed. "And a lot more exciting." He stood up straight before he extended an arm towards her. "Shall I escort you up the stairs? I can't actually pass through the door...you know it's getting late so guys aren't allowed in the girls dorms anymore." He glanced over at Harry and then Mel raising his eyebrow. "I don't see why you even go to dueling anymore...you know Malfoy just insults you but refuses to fight since he'd lose."

Mel stretched a bit and yawned not really wanting to leave the warmth of the fire. She sat up and rubbed her eyes since she was tired. "I guess it is bed time. I'm sure we have to get up early..Ugh.." She hung her head.

He chuckled softly and shook his head. "But on the off chance I do get to fight him, It's rather enjoyable kicking his ass...."

She picked Lilly up in one arm taking Fred's hand, raising an eyebrow but she shrugged slightly, thinking nothing of it. She allowed Lilly to crawl onto her shoulder and frowned at Mel. "I'm sure our room is plenty warm by now... it's small enough, the furnace should have it bonfire cozy by now."

He raised an eyebrow. "Small? Aren't you rooming with the other sixth year girls?"

"Uh, not exactly.... apparently? There were only two beds in our room..." She tilted her head head. "Maybe it was too much to put two more beds in that room.. too crowded?"

"But it was easier to make a new room?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "This is my uncle we're talking about..."

He shook his head, he didn't think he'd ever understand the headmaster. Especially after this, it made little to no sense.

She made her way up the stairs, watching where she stepped and paused at a door. she blinked and looked back to the common room and stomped her foot. "I knew I should have been able to see this door from the couch..." She scowled softly. "Mel... could you sit where I was and tell me if you can see me?" She crossed her arms slightly aggravated that a simple door was getting the best of her. "Please tell me I'm not loosing my mind..."

"Very enjoyable indeed." George nodded. "But then we'd have to listen to him whine about how you cheated or something."

Fred blinked staring at the door in front of him. "Oh this door isn't protected. What do you know."

"Oh it isn't?" He moved up the stairs to his twin and raised his eyebrow. "Hmm...Do you think we could barrow this room when you're not using it?"

"You hardly know we were there." The two looked down at D and grinned.

"I don't like how they said that.." Mel blinked raising her eyebrow. "I feel like something bad would happen then." Mel looked up towards the stairs and nodded. "Ok!" She moved over to the couch sitting in the spot D was. She turned her head back towards the stares being able to see D and the twins. "Yup! I can see you and the door." She looked over at Harry and smiled. "See~ Look. The doors right there." She pointed.

"It wasn't there before."

She scowled at the boys and crossed her arms. "I don't think so.. I don't care how much you beg and plead only one thing will move me from allowing you to use our room, and it's something neither of you would enjoy, but Mel and I would enjoy immensely...." She paused and looked to where the door was and slowly backtracked down the stairs, keeping an eye on the door watching it slowly disappear." She smirked looking to Fred. "And it looks like you're going to need at least one of us to get in..."

He laughed softly. "Seems to me you'll have to find some other place to sell your wares..."

"Unless of course you pay us to use our room.." she waved her hand but I'm sure you'd much rather get to use it for free.." She smirked. "though it'll still cost you... just not in a way you'd expect..."

"Magic door~" Mel wiggled her fingers before she raised her eyebrow. "Ah D~ That's a bit forward seeing as we just got here..." She placed her chin on her hand and smirked.

The twins looked at each other and raised their eyebrows. They looked at is they were thinking it over.

"No clue what you're talking about."

"Yup. Not a clue!" They smirked before they let D go and bowed. "Well we'll leave you for the night. See you in the morning."

"Bed time~" Mel moved towards the stares before waving. "Night Harry~ Tell Ron and Hermione we said night too." She smiled before moving up towards the door and walked into the room to get changed for bed.

He laughed softly and nodded. "Night..." He waved as he got up and made his way to his room, saying goodnight to Hermione and getting ready for bed once she was done.

She smiled and shook her head waving to the twins. "I'm sure you'll have time to think it over..." She smirked and flicked her wrist. "Good night..." She made her way into the room leaving it open for Mel. Once the door was closed she got changed for bed. She sat down on the edge stretching her arms out towards the furnace in the center of the room. She surveyed the area. Two beds on one side a desk on either side of the room and two comfortable sitting chairs on the other side of the furnace. Opposite the entrance was another door leading to a miniature version of the prefects bathroom, more then big enough for the two of them. "Well this is nice.. I wonder how long this is going to stay our own private little sanctuary...?" She smiled and pulled back the covers and curling up under the warm layers. "Tomorrow should be.. interesting... how long do you think we can keep our secrets...?"

"Wow. This room is awesome!" She blinked sitting down on her bed and curled her legs up. "I could get used to this." She flopped back onto her bed and looked over at the bathroom. "That's just awesome~ Kinda like Kayko's bathroom." Her nose twitched looking over at D. "We'll be able to keep it until someones trying to kill us or hurt us." Mel smirked. "That's our luck." She then paused for a moment. "Well...I guess if someone was in danger or something we'd be exposed too..." Mel yawned a bit before she crawled under her covers and nuzzled the pillow. "Mmm...so tired...Night." She mumbled falling asleep.

She laughed softly and dozed off, woken up hours later by the curtains flying open letting in the sun. she groaned and turned over burying her face into the pillows, trying to fall back asleep before hearing noise outside her door, people going down the stairs. She grunted and looked at her watch and frowned. "Ugh... can't there be more naps..?" She whined and sat up, sitting back on her legs with a slight grunt, rubbing her eyes. "Mel... wake up..." not hearing a response she tossed a pillow in the general direction of her roommate's bed. "Wake up...."

She sighed softly looking up the steps. "Do you think I should go wake them up?"

"How? I don't think you can access the door without one of them being near it."

She shot him a look. "You seriously think I wouldn't be able to find a way around it...?"

He rubbed the back of his head. "In such a short time frame...? It is one of Dumbledore's spells..."

"True that would take some time..."

"You don't think they'd sleep through the day do you?"

"They are from America that is a bit of a time difference."

"But they were visiting Russia they said."

"Still a big time difference."

Mel grumbled a bit nuzzling her pillow hearing the noise outside the door. "Hnn..." She tried to ignore it until a pillow was thrown at her. "I'm awake~" She opened her eyes before tossing the pillow back onto her bed. "Stupid sun...too bright." She stretched letting out a large yawn before she slipped off the bed onto her feet. "Time to get dressed then..." She slipped her glasses back on as she walked over to her trunk and put on her uniform. "I still don't really like these robes..." She chuckled before she finished getting ready. She walked over to the door and placed her hand on it waiting for D to be ready before she opened it and headed down the stairs. "Still early.." She mumbled rubbing her eye and yawned again. "Good morning..." Mel smiled and waved.

She laughed softly and got dressed, tying her tie as she made her way down the stairs. She tilted her head. as she looked to the others and smiled. "Mornin'...." She stretched and cracked her back before tucking her tie into her vest and toying with some hair as she looked to the group."It's breakfast right...? Then first class...?" She wrinkled her nose at the mention of class, breakfast would be no problem. you know, aside from all the staring.

She nodded. "Breakfast and the mail is usually delivered towards the middle of the breakfast hour, then three classes, lunch, then three more classes two hour break... or evening classes if you have them like astronomy, then dinner, then back to the common rooms until bed time."

"And everyone follows this...?"

Harry shook his head slowly but nodded quickly when Hermione looked towards him.

"I'm looking forward to breakfast." Mel placed her hands behind her back and waited for everyone else to head out to the dinning hall.

"We try too...most of the time."

"We do sometimes!"

"More like hardly...possibly never."

"We're in class most of the time if we want to test out a prank. Does that count?"

"No that shouldn't count."

"I hope the new effect will wear off soon..." Her nose twitched and glanced around seeing Lilly had wandered off somewhere. "Though I'm not sure what I'm more nervous about...the staring or starting class." Mel glanced over at Harry and covered her mouth giggling a little.

She smiled softly. "I would think classes would be worse... you'd still be stared at but on a more personal level... what's worse... you may need to actually interact with other people..." She let out a mock gasp and covered her mouth just as melodramatically before grinning and continuing on her way, ignoring the other stares from people, checking only once to make sure she was wearing pants before deciding the still weren't over the new-ness and took her seat at the table, grabbing a bunch of toast and pouring cinnamon and sugar all over the pieces. "Mmmm... sugar..."

"Is.. is she always like that...?" She blinked a bit watching her dump load after load of the sugary mix on the toast before spooning some eggs onto her own plate.

"Only on days ending in 'y'.. what's today...?"

He chuckled and shook his head taking his seat and piling food onto his plate.

"Way to make me more nervous." Mel rolled her eyes the followed the group out of the common room and towards the dining room. "Though I guess I can't be too freaked out. I mean no ones has actually bothered us yet...it's just staring." She glanced over at D and shook her head. "Only every waking moment of everyday."

The twins sat down next to each other before they started making up their own plate.

"Well all I have to say is good luck in Snapes class. If you can make it in that class on your first day you'll be fine."

She rolled her eyes. "Gee thanks..."

"Lucky for you it's your first class, I guess this will set the tone for the rest of your day hn?" she raised an eyebrow popping some egg in her mouth.

"Goodie.." She muttered nibbling on her cinnamon covered toast, wrinkling her nose slightly. Why are we here again? right.. we're stupid and can't keep our fingers to ourselves... stupid shiny buttons... She mumbled to herself between clamped teeth as she chewed.

He scooted slightly away from the crazed girl leaning over to Mel. "Are you sure it's safe to let her out in public..?

"I heard that Potter..." She huffed and tossed a slice of toast at him. "I don't appreciate that tone..."

"I'm sure you two will do fine. Just hide in the back behind someone tall." He chuckled and shook his head. "Or sit next to Hermione so she can at least help you."

Mel sunk a lower onto the bench hearing that Snapes' class was first. "Uh.." She blinked looking over at Harry. "Actually if you'd believe it she's a lot safer to be in public then I am. She's mostly normal.." She placed her hand on her cheek and raised her eyebrow.

He rolled his eyes. "I think I'd much rather take my chances with you then the mumbling loon over there-Ow!"

She grinned, please with herself and continued nibbling on her toast.

He rubbed his shin frowning at her. "Was that necessary?"

"Can't deal with some excessive force?"

He rolled his eyes. "Excessive...? That bloody hurt."

"I could kick higher if that would appease you more"

"No! No.. that's quite alright...."

"A bit of a lunatic that one..."

"Am not, I'm just slightly less sane then the average person..."

"Because that sounds loads better..."

"That's very dangerous.." Mel raised her eyebrow. "But I guess I can take that as a compliment." She raised her eyebrow and blinked. "Are you ok?" She turned towards her friend. "What did we say about kicking nice people?" She wagged her finger. "It's the jerks you kick young lady...do you need to get a lecture from a certain mother figure?"

"She's scarier then Hermione..." He gulped and shifted in his seat moving away from D.

"Well Harry did call her a loon."

"That was quite rude Harry." George waved his finger.

She rolled her eyes and smirked. "Kayko would approve... Mana... not so much...."

"Who?"

"No one." She smiled, "Well, they're people very important to us, but no one you need to concern yourself with." She shot a look at Ron. "Watch it... or I'll teach her a thing or two..." She cooed playfully and took a large bite of toast before smiling at the twins. "At least I have two knights in shining armor..." She tapped her chin. "Though I may have to wonder what knight these two stole the armor from..."

"Probably..." Mel nodded and rubbed the back of her head. She looked over at Harry. "Friends of ours from back home..." She waved her hand a bit. That couldn't get out in the open just yet.

"Please don't. We suffer enough you know."

"We didn't steal it from a knight."

"We're more then capable of being knights on our own."

"Class time yet...? It's getting a little deep in here..." Mel shook her head.

"Don't tell me you're in a hurry to get to Snape's class...." She raised an eyebrow and took a sip of her juice, drumming her fingers against the table gently. "Granted we still need to get our books. Didn't really see a need to bring them to breakfast." She glanced around. "and aside from people who didn't finish their homework, I'm assuming we're stopping by the common room before class anyway."

He nodded. "There aren't any lockers or anything, so everything is kept in our rooms really, aside from the really heavy objects, they stay in the class room."

"You two are with us all day aren't you?"

"For the most part I believe so... not exactly productive having no wands in Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts...."

She frowned. "I suppose, but you would have thought Dumbledore would have gotten you something. What's a witch or wizard without their wand?"

"A muggle..." He spat, his lips curling maliciously, "You of all people should know that Granger... being a mudblood and all...."

"Piss off Malfoy...."

Mel shook her head. "Oh no! I am not trying to rush to his class." Mel rubbed her head. "It's to early to skip right?"

"It's never to early!"

"We can show you two all of our hiding spots."

"No. They don't need to get in trouble with Snape on the first day." He then glared up at Malfoy. "Why don't you just go back to your 'friends' Malfoy. No one wants you at this table."

Mel tilted her head a bit to get Malfoy in view before she raised her eyebrow. "Actually a wizard or witch without a wand would just be a wizard or witch without a wand." She then stood up and turned back to the table smiling sweetly. "Let's go back to the common room. It'll be better to be early. Good first impression."

"Anyone who isn't a pureblood is no better then a muggle..." He hissed, leering at Harry and watching the two new girls. "Don't think that just because you're related to Dumbledore means you can do anything you want. My father-"

"Is a coward? An idiot? A bully? A simple minded fool? An older version of you who still hasn't really amounted to anything and hides behind his name to wield any true power...?" She cooed and stood up on the bench looking down at him. "A name doesn't make the man sweetheart.... Actions make the man. And you my dear... are still just a child..." She smiled and hopped off the bench looking to the others. "Shall we go then?"

She nodded slightly standing up, a bit speechless, sparing nervous glances at Malfoy, worried he'd attack D.

He nodded as well and stood up pushing past Draco, his hand at his wand just in case something happened.

She looked over her shoulder and smirked. "See you later slime ball..."

He glared at her, his hands shaking, white knuckled.

Mel rolled her eyes a bit as he started talking. She looked over at D and raised her eyebrow giggling. She then straightened out. "We better get going." She nodded in agreement glancing back at the fuming blond ready to change if need be. She placed a hand in her pocket and walked out with the group turning around. "Bye bye~"

"That was bloody brilliant." Ron followed them a bit speechless.

"I'd watch your back from now on though...he's known to play a bit dirty."

"That's what she has me for." Mel crossed her arms and huffed. She wouldn't let anyone hurt her friends! When the common room door opened she stretched a bit and headed up to her room to look through the trunk for the books she needed.
