Aw, that's nice of you. ^_^ I used to do a lot of volunteering but I don't have quite so many opportunities to do so anymore...

I'm in a service organization so that's part of the deal. It tends to be a lot of fun.

I lived in housing that required you to do community service but it wasn't a big deal for me since I'd been doing stuff like that on my own since high school. ^^;

Spiffy, never heard it required with housing though. That sounds like it'd be interesting.

Sadly, I didn't do much beyond what was required of me during high school, and community service/volunteer work wasn't one of those things.

It was the international dorm. You had to go to presentations about global things and write 6 papers about them and you had to do ten hours of community service per semester you stayed there. It was a nicer building and since I was a language major I didn't think it was a bad idea. I stayed on the substance free floor (no alcohol or drugs) but that didn't do me any good. My room mate didn't abide by it at all.

Sounds like a lot of work just to live somewhere...methinks the papers would have driven me batty.

They weren't too bad... Six, one hour, presentations and one page papers each...

Eh, I suppose it could be worse....still, would have been a bit too much for me on top of all of the papers required for my major. ^.^;

Yeah, it made things a bit more stressful but I managed to do it for 4 semesters.

Bleh, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the roleplay out today or not. Apparently we're all of a sudden having a spur of the moment get together with the family. I'm rather annoyed about it actually.
