I don't drink soda either, but then I was very rarely given it as a child, so I never developed a habit of drinking it.

Everything is easy to give up in time. Just replace an addiction with something else. And then it becomes natural over time. I've done this with several computer games, foods, and activities. It also matters in whether you want to give up things or not.
