I'm not really fond of strawberry-flavoured food stuff, it took me some time to figure out why but I figured it was because most of them reminded me so much of the medicines I had to take when I was a sickly child so it's really bad association for me. D:

Grape it depends for me, but it's the least detestable flavour for me in terms of what's more commonly found. Cherry's way up there with strawberry to me. Ech, cherry flavour. xD

I think flavoring medicine is wrong, because of what you've all said, and because it makes some people want to eat or drink it when they don't need to.

I like cherry cough drops, but those aren't so bad for you if you're not sick.

But purple Robitussin is bad for you if you're not sick.

They make the medicine taste even worse in my opinion D:

I understand the reasons for flavouring medicine, it's kinder for children but when they grow up that's another story.

Hmm You're right, cherry cough drops are alright. They don't sell Robitussin here, though. "Local brands" are more common for treating cough, sore throats and flu. Ah, the chinese with their medicine and their herbs. Admittedly, they sometimes work better on me compared to more commercially produced solutions, or maybe because my body's more used to them since my grandma trusted bottles with chinese labels better than the others.

The NHS was suggesting a friend of mine to eat honey instead of working with pills when she was having issues.
There really is a lot you can argue for cultural medicines. Not all of them but there's a reason why they were used!

If Chinese medicines are as good as Chinese food, then I want to use them instead, too.

I hope it's natural honey and not the commercially sweetened stuff they usually sell in stores! The added sugar in those kinds of honey kind of makes them worse for you.

From my own personal experience, instead of artificial flavouring or sugar, they usually use honey or other natural flavourings like monk fruit so chinese medicine for coughs and sore throats tend to be dark and syrupy. :)

Local, pure honey for sure. The rest of it wouldn't have any effect.
