Oh? What kind of story idea? I've been having a lot of those lately and I can't decide if I want to rp them or just write them myself. So much effort either way.

Eh. Most of my ideas are half-formed at best. I'm working on a angel/fallen angel The Untamed fic but it's pretty tough for me to get into it. I want just about anything else to write.

Ooh, I hadn't even gotten that connection ... But you're right, since there are usually airships in FInal Fantasy games.

Lately, especially when rping, I've been going on youtube to find songs that evoke the feelings I want to write. For example, in the last Runaway post, I listened to Don't Stop Me Now and Somebody to Love while writing.ˆˆ

Yeah. ^^ There tends to be a steampunk aesthetic to their fantasy worlds, though, the last few games I paid any attention to were a bit more sci-fi/fantasy.

Haha, those are fun song choices! I will make playlists for certain novels and long fics I'm working on if they're a rather emotional subject or my usual music choices are very unsuited to it. Mostly I find art more inspiring though.

I haven't played any new FF games ... for years, lol. I mean the latest square enix game I played is Bravely Default, which I still haven't completed.

Probably songs work for me because I was in musicals while I was in high school, so it makes sense to pair songs to scenes.

I didn't play it but I started watching a collection of all the cut scenes from FF13 but it was hours long. I got through watching FF12's but that was it. I honestly don't finish long games like that.

That does make sense. My musical tastes might just not match well with my writing most of the time.

Yeah, they do take a while ... but I love the stories!

I used to watch my brothers play the games just so I could experience the story! Doing the grinding myself is no fun.

Yeah ... Bravely Default is a whole bunch of that..
Probably why I haven't finished it yet.

I prefer a hack and slash type of game but one with puzzle elements is good as well.

But honestly, yeah, I remember playing the old Gauntlet game on N64 and loving it. Though of course, I played it in multiplayer with my dad and sister so that made it way more fun than playing it alone.

Ah. I never had an N64. My favorite game system was a PS1. The Zelda games can be like that though. Just enough swinging the sword and still managing to go through the right doors after talking to the right people.

The monsters in the Legend of Zelda;Ocarina of Time used to scare me. Now the graphics on the 3DS are a loooot better, lol. I can just imagine how I would have reacted as a kid. XD

Yeaaah. I never beat Ocarina or time. I got so lost in one of the temples that I had to give up. >.>

Apparently in the original the water temple was nearly impossible to beat? They had to move a block when they remade the game for the 3DS or something to make it more ... manageable.
I still haven't beat it. >.<

Ah. I think I was in the fire temple. It seemed like you needed to get to the other side of this room where there was no way to pass and none of the tools could get you over there? Only door on that side appeared to be an exit? I'm not sure I got around to looking up a walkthrough but it's moot at this point since my brothers kept all the game systems. I don't really play as much as them.

Not moot, you can get Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time on the 3DS. It's so cool to see how the graphics have improved!

I mean, I don't have a 3DS either. XD I have the older gameboy from before the DS. The Switch is the only recent game system we have and we've only used a few times.

Yeah, I already wrote something up for Runaway.

It's just trying to gauge how Harlan will react, what thoughts are running through his mind, kind of need some figuring out ... way more than Pris feeling nervous about trying on new clothes.

Very true. Did you like the post? I think I managed to write a realistic type of encounter that aught to give Harlan lots of questions. O.o
