I also never had a blanket fort, but I've kind of wanted to set one up. I'm just not really sure that I have the space/materials to have one for two full-sized people. (And a cat. She would of course come in to hang out.) The pictures in the first posts are cool. :O

It's a lot bit more tricky to build them for bigger/older people, but doable. Tables, chairs, couches, etc. I even toyed with the idea of building one by tacking blankets up in a corner, but couldn't quite figure out how to keep them attached without adding too many holes. My parents were not so thrilled.

Box forts are awesome too! Though here they tend to fill up with scorpions.

BOX FORTS!! Oh man! I forgot about that option! We used pallets to build forts outside when I was a kid.

Icky scorpions - we get them here all the time. Seeing millipedes already.

HIM! I think it's time we made a blanket fort with you. No blanket forts is an unacceptable status to live in.

PiM - Uhm, excuse you, are you implying that N*Sync is not awesome? YOU WANNA GO? YOU WANNA GO?!?!??

Damia - This isn't an invite-only thread, I just pinged my friends to show them my new thread. All are welcome.

Belly - omg no, scorpions y'all can keep those far away from my fort.

Then we gonna have to brawl, because I'm a JC girl. JTimbs is great, but if there was one N*Sync member who most deserved a successful a solo career, it was JC.

I blame the people. The people didn't know what was best for them. It was JC.

Y'all lost me at N'Sync.

Have to postpone outdoor fort building here due to our regularly scheduled thunderstorms.

Like, obviously everyone knows that song. But seriously, it has to make the top 50 best pop songs of all time. It'd be my #1 if it weren't for Beyonce. It's truly a masterpiece. And JC would be the one rocking the majority of the vocals on that one. Gray jacket in the beginning. And then there's JTimbs sporting that stupid curly look, but owning the secondary vocals.

And speaking of JTimbs, his new song is awesome.

Sorry, I have a lot of N*Sync feels.

Best to work off taller things, then - like the backs of chairs, rather than the seats.

Yeah, I just don't have a lot of chairs. I'll have to ask my husband to help me figure something out. Maybe tacking sheets and blankets, that aren't too heavy, to walls? We can figure something out. :D

Very light summery sheets might work for that!

Also, the Neat Stuff post on the first page now has its first link, courtesy of Cardinal Biggles:! Speaking of, I need another post for gathering stuff. I'd like to have a post full of relaxing things. Since this is the thread for chilling, it only makes sense that it should have some chill resources to offer! BellyButton: could I get an extra post after the "Neat Stuff" post, pretty please?

Oh dear!

I may have to go soon, my husband just woke up from his impromptu nap on the couch next to me, and has decided he's ready to head to bed and wants me to join him.

haha, totally right? We'll see if he actually decides to totally go to bed, he's still on the couch, cuddled up next to me. He says he wants to go to bed, yet, doesn't seem to want to stop watching his show. He needs to make up his mind. Do I have to get offline, or do I have a bit more time? :P
