What about like a Wishing well? Users can throw a stone costing however much, then after like a week or so, the well gives out several wishes. Like a common of your choice? or a contribution item? something that users are willing to take a part of without regretting that they spent some gold. XD;

A person could buy a "coin" for the wishing well for - say 100 gold - and they could wish for a common that was up to 3000 or 5000 gold.

Then there would be a drawing and three or so wishes would be granted.

that sounds cute + fun.

i say it should be self supported, the money used to "donate" to the well should be used to buy the common for the winner. o-o

but it doesn't really do a gold sink unless a lot more people play.

Unless the options of wishing for an item is insane. Don't know about the "price" but it is a wishing well so the person can choose what he/she wants? I don't know. What about an item that can not be sold back to the community? XD;;

What if the wishing well held the CI's for that month? The people who threw money into the wishing well had a chance of getting a free set of CI's. It could be done every two weeks or so >.> Just an idea.

I think jelly is running a charity just like that... at least she was for a little while...

I thought that charity was free to enter the drawing, and was closed anyway.

It was 10gold or something cheap. I wasn't sure if she had closed it down or not. It's been a long time since I've used charities. :yes:

But something like that, that was site wide and more people knew about (say because it was on the shop map) would get more gold out of the economy then a little charity. ^^;;

All you have to do is look and see when the last time the posts were edited. Check prices posted and browse the exchange a bit to get a feel for prices. Also, if you know someone with a good feel for the exchange have them help you.

It is halfway up to date. Some prices are the same, some are more inflated, it just depends who you ask. ^^

i sold mine for ~45k and from what i know, that was one of the last sales and no one before me sold for more than that.

But it is up to date with the prices that people have recorded, and the prices that we have seen... If more people reported their buy/sell prices it would be a lot easier to keep it updated. XD

the boa price was also based on just one sale.
When waffle got it, she was pretty desperate for a boa.
So now all the boa sellers are looking for more then that price {which was made based off one report} I mean I can understand it being around 50k.. But near 70k is ridiculous.

cause there hasn't been a boa for sale except that one for a while. o__O

when there are two sales in the same relative amount of time, the sale prices are averaged out.
