Name: Rais Steele

Age: 25

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 130lbs

Personality: Rais is a pretty laid back guy. He doesn't like to complicate his life since where he's from, everything
is pretty much done easily. If something doesn't go as planned, he tends to freak out but thankfully his sister usually
helps calm him down and think straight. Rais also likes to spend time outside of the house with his friends or family,
even if it's just to walk around.

Likes: Smoking, Traveling, Relaxing at home.

Dislikes: Reading, Waking up Early, Surprises.

Bio: Born and raised in Crystal City, Rais has grown into a very curious person. He and his younger sister Vicktoria enjoy traveling
through time, and learning new things. He's not the most organized person but thankfully his sister always reminds him about
anything that he might have forgotten. Sometimes she likes bossing him around a bit too much though and that tends to upset him,
resulting in pointless fights. His parents don't travel anymore, claiming that they don't find it exciting anymore but Rais just thinks
that they're afraid of getting stuck or lost somewhere.

Name: Vicktoria Steele

Age: 23

Height: 5'2"

Weight: 110lbs

Personality: Vicktoria likes to keep her brother in check even though she's the younger one.
She basically has to keep reminding him to do certain things. When she isn't doing that though,
she likes to spend time in the city, buying whatever she wants and just enjoying the fresh air. All in all,
Vicktoria is a fun person to be around, her smiles are usually contagious as well as her laughter. She has a
very serious side though which consists of being bossy and organized.

Likes: Food, Traveling, Fluffy things.

Dislikes: Rain, The Dark, Messy Places.

Bio: Victoria is Rais' younger sister by two years. She has always enjoyed spending time with her older brother and loves it
when they travel through time and makes sure that they are always prepared and not missing anything. Like all siblings, they
do bicker quite often, mostly when things don't go as planned. The two of them are from the futuristic city of Crystal City
where everything shines at night and in the daytime too and enjoy visiting different places just for fun. Sometimes they'll
even bring things home to show their parents.

Eloise Hastings...

Age - 22
Height - 5'4"
Weight - 110lbs
Personality - Eloise is a hard working young lady, who values her bond with her family over almost anything else. She is very smart, but painfully shy and is quite often happier at home than anywhere else. When she isn't working on the farm with her older brother Max, and her father, Richard, Eloise can often be found wandering in the forest with her dog, Sammy.
Likes - Long walks in the rain, the smell of pine wood and privacy.
Dislikes - Cramped spaces, loud music and having wet feet.
Bio - Eloise's and Max lost their mother 15 years ago. Eloise has since been raised on her family's farm by her father and brother. Spending the long days ploughing crops and tending to the animals leaves little time for much else. Her brother has always been her rock, and if there were ever anything she couldn't tell her father, Max was the one she turned to. She's very intelligent and hard working, but Eloise sometimes lies awake and wonders what her life would have been like if she hadn't lost her mother...

Max Hastings...

Age - 26
Height - 6'1"
Weight - 150lbs
Personality - Max is the outgoing one of the two siblings. He's funny and friendly and loves to make people laugh. He is, however, very protective of his little sister. Since they lost their mother, Max has been watching out for her every step of the way. He might be the older sibling, but he certainly doesn't act like it. He still works hard on the farm, but most of the time he's telling jokes or singing while he works.
Likes - Making friends, listening to music and play fighting with the children from the next plot over.
Dislikes - Cold weather, boring people and anything too different or out of the ordinary.
Bio - Max was 11 when their mother died, and he had to grow up and take on more responsibilities. He might be the playful one but he takes his role in the family very seriously. When he can, Max tries to bring more money into the household by street singing, playing instruments or babysitting. Eloise is the most precious thing to him as he helped their father to raise her. All Max has ever wanted to do though, is see the world. But he never has, and he never will, because his family, but more importantly, his sister, need him.

Rais stared down at his grandfather's golden pocket watch. It was the most important thing to him because of the sentimental value behind it. His grandfather passed away when he was around twelve years of age and his grandmother passed away three months later. The pocket watch was given to him as a gift on his tenth birthday and Rais' has carried it everywhere he went ever since. Not only is it a pocket watch to check the time, but it's what transports him an his sister Vicktoria to other times in the past. He has been lucky enough not to lose it during one of their travels. Today, he and Vicktoria were going to travel at random and see where it landed them. "Vicktoria, we should get going!" he called out and looked over at his parents who just smiled. "You know she likes to look nice before leaving the house." his mother reminded. "Try to get home before it gets late alright?" his father ordered. Rais nodded, "We won't be gone long dad." he promised and looked up when Vicktoria walked into the small clear cylinder and was brought down easily. It worked like an elevator, except it didn't have any buttons. It automatically brought people down or took them up, all they needed to do was stand inside.

Vicktoria smiled at her parents and then at her brother. "Are you ready?" she asked him in her soft chime like voice. "I have been for a while now." Rais replied and looked at his parents. "We'll be back soon, I promise." he repeated and looked at Vicktoria who was obviously excited. People would probably think she was an android but he guessed that was the point of dressing the way she dressed. "Be careful and don't do anything that would attract too much attention." their mother reminded. Without another word, Rais looked down at his pocket watch and turned the dial quickly a few times until they were no longer in their futuristic house. They looked around to see where they were and noticed that they were standing on a dirt path, not glass or mirror like where they were from. "I don't like this place already." muttered Vicktoria as she looked around. "Where is everyone?" she asked him. "I think they must be deeper inside this place. This must be the entrance." Rais said and dusted himself off. He was wearing his regular clothes so he didn't think he'd stand out much, but Vicktoria would.

"You couldn't find anything more....plain?" he asked her and looked at his pocket watch again. "Want to go somewhere else?" he asked. "No, I want to stay here. As for the clothes, I really felt like wearing this. I never wore it before and I wanted to see how it fit." Vicktoria replied and looked at him. "Well alright then. Let's see what we can find to bring back home." Rais said and started walking deeper into what he believed was a small town. Then they showed up, various people walking around and talking to each other. Their clothing was really boring and somewhat dirty from the dirt. A few people looked towards them but Rais avoided making eye contact and looked at his sister who was staring straight ahead.

Eloise woke to the blinding glare of the sun creeping through the curtains. Another beautiful day! she thought to herself "Urgh!" she sighed. The familiar sound of her brother Max stomping around in his bedroom told her that it was definitely time to wake up. How could one man make so much noise? At 7am? "SHUT UP!" she shouted to him, doubting that he would even hear her over all his banging. "CAN'T, DANCING!" came the rugged reply. "WHAT THE HELL?" she shouted back, and that was the last exchange between the two walls. Hauling her aching body out of her soft, warm bed was almost impossible, but Eloise knew what today was... Market day.

The day before had been just as hot and sticky as this one was destined to be, and Eloise and Max had been out on the fields ploughing the corn and wheat. Every muscle and fibre in her body ached after days like that, but that was her life, and she was happy to live it. After a quick shower, Eloise pulled on a white lace summer dress and a pair of knee length navy blue socks. It was usually pretty muddy on the stall and she knew she would have to wear her wellies. After drying her hair and ruffling the curls a little, Eloise was ready. As she pulled open the door, she let out a little sound of shock. "How do you always fall for that?" Max laughed at her as he pulled off an old halloween mask. "Go away" she replied as she pushed past him. "Why are you always so grumpy on market day? It's the one day we get to be out there, selling what we make on the farm and actually socialising with other humans" Max said. He knew the reason she hated it so much; the crowds. The one thing Max could never understand was why his little sister disliked busy places so much.

Downstairs, their father had laid the table and was dishing out fresh eggs and toasted seedy bread. The siblings sat down at the table together and waited for their father to join them. "How are we this morning?" he asked as he took his place at the head of the table. "Fine" "Awesome!" came the replies. They ate and chatted about the harvest and about the animals. Betsy, the large brown cow, was due to give birth any day now, and the harvest was looking fuller each day. Both of those were good things, but Eloise could not seem to lighten her mood. Max, as always, finished his breakfast first and was up and finished washing the dishes before Eloise could even pull her boots on.

The market was as busy as always, and Max and Eloise got to work setting up the stall while their father hauled their cargo from the van. The sun was blazing down on them and Eloise knew that she would end up with red marks around her shoulders and that her freckles would be making an appearance. "Cheer up baby sis. Only ten more hours and we can go home again!" Max chuckled. Eloise just sighed and continued the mundane task of laying out parcels of wheat and freshly baked bread.

"It's really hot here!" whined Vicktoria as she crossed her arms and looked at her brother. "Well I asked if you wanted to go somewhere else but you said no, so now we're stuck here." Rais replied easily as they continued walking. Various people were outside now, busy with things he didn't quite understand. "Looks like there is some sort of event going on here today." he muttered and looked around to see a banner with bold lettering saying: Market Day. "Market Day...?" he repeated and pulled out a cigarette before lighting it easily. "Ugh, I don't know how you can handle that stuff, the smell is disgusting!" complained Vicktoria as she waved a hand in front of her face. Rais only smirked and shook his head, "I don't know how you can handle needle heels." he muttered and rolled his eyes. There was a scent that reached both their noses and Vicktoria jumped up and down happily. "Food!" she gasped and squealed. "They have food here!" she exclaimed happily. "Relax will you! We're not here to buy anything, we're here to learn and take something back home." he reminded. His sister pouted and looked around, "But I'm hungry!" she whined. "Please buy me some food Rais, please? Pretty please with cigarettes on top?" she begged. Rais laughed and nodded, "Fine I'll buy you some food but you'll have to share. Fair enough?" he said.

Vicktoria nodded and kissed her brother's cheek. In silence, Rais left to hide behind a tree and looked around to make sure no one was watching before making a movement with his hand in front of him so that a blue screen appeared. The blue screen belonged to a holographic machine which had only one slot at the bottom where currency fell through for Rais to collect. "Points Conversion." he said softly, keeping an eye out in case some one showed up. The blue screen then turned green, "Enter amount of points you wish to convert to currency" a robotic voice said. Rais entered fifty as the amount and pressed the arrow. "Converting..." said the robotic voice. Rais waited impatiently as the points were being converted to the currency that was being used at the moment where they were. Rais grabbed all the new money into a small pouch and sighed. "Points converted." the robotic voice said. Rais waved his hand and the screen was gone. He waved the small pouch in front of him for Vicktoria to see, "All done. Fifty points converted." he explained and handed the pouch to Vicktoria. "Will that be enough?" she asked. "I hope so, because I don't want to go through that again." Rais answered simply.

The two of them walked until Vicktoria stopped dead in her track when she saw someone place some bread out. "Bread!" she gasped and looked at Rais happily before looking at the girl who she assumed was in charge. "Excuse me, but is this bread for sale?" she asked. Rais put out his cigarette and wondered what his parents were doing, probably left to walk around the city. At least Vicktoria was enjoying herself, that's what really mattered. He was enjoying himself too, not as much as his sister, but he still was. It was always nice to get out of the city every once in a while.

The stall had been open only a matter of minutes before the first orders came in. Sally, an older woman of 68 placed an order for the following week for one classic bread loaf, one seeded bread roll and one sweet roll, as well as ten eggs and two packs of bacon. The orders came in like that for a while and all money was taken on the spot for orders; the locals knew they were getting what they payed for in quality and quantity. An older gentleman had once made the comment that they could knock down a row of bowling pins with one of their loaves because they were so big. The quality of everything they made was second to none, due to the fact that everything was home grown and home made.

After about an hour, Eloise was noticing the slight tightness of her skin that came with sunburn. She was hot and tired and agitated and decided to take herself off to cool down for a moment and lash on some sun screen. "Max, man the stall for five minutes. I need sun cream, before I turn into a Lobster" she sighed as she patted his shoulder and began to walk away. "It amazes me that you burn so easily! You'r just like mom" he laughed and took over wrapping loaves in crisp brown parcel paper ready for sale.

Only five minutes later and Eloise returned, feeling miles better after splashing her face with some cold water and rubbing her fragile skin with factor 50 sun cream. "What'd I miss?" she asked Max, walking up behind him. "Not much. Oh, we sold the last sour dough loaf, so if anyone asks... They'll have to pre order and wait until next week" he replied. Eloise wasn't surprised they had sold them all. They were always pretty popular in the summer months.

As Eloise continued wrapping and parcelling produce, she heard an unfamiliar female voice asking if the bread was for sale. As she looked up, her mouth fell open and it took everything she had not to shout out in shock. The woman standing in front of her must have been on her way to some fancy dress party or something, because she looked like a robot had bred with a human and created some king of mix of the two. "Ah, erm... Yes, bread. We sell bread!" she stammered, completely dazed by the tall young woman. Luckily, Max was there to rescue her from her babbling. He stepped up by the side of her and flashed the lady one of his 'Prince Charming' style grins and said "Nice to meet you sweetheart. We sell all kinds of things here. We have regular loaves of plain bread, we have cheesy bread rolls and we also do some sweet breads like chocolate and fresh blueberry. Anything that takes your fancy?" Eloise was so grateful for her brother at that moment, because she was almost certain that the strange new lady thought she had some kind of metal problems. She turned her face away as she blushed fiercely and straightened her summer dress out.

The expression on the girl's face told him that she found Vicktoria's attire odd and he didn't like that. "See what happens when you dress like this Vicktoria? You scare people." Rais commented and shook his head. Vicktoria rolled her eyes, though knew no one could actually see that. "It's very nice to meet you too kind sir." Vicktoria said and listened to the many types of bread that they had. "Oh, that's a lot of bread!" she said and looked at Rais, "Which ones should we get?" she asked him. "You want more than one?" Rais asked. When his sister nodded, Rais sighed mentally. "We'll get two loaves, just two." he said to her. "Okay...hmmm. We'll take one of Blueberry, it sounds interesting." Vicktoria said and turned to Rais. "Which do you think we should get Rais?" she asked. "I'll go for a cheesy bread roll." he answered easily.

"Oh I just got an idea Rais!" Vicktoria gasped. "What is it?" he asked curiously. "We can bring this home to mom and dad once we decide to go back home!" she said excitedly. Rais thought about it and smiled. "We could. We'll have to come back before this place closes then." he explained and looked at the male. "How much will it be for the two loaves?" he asked curiously as he took the pouch of money from Vicktoria's hand. As he did this, he took out his pocket watch to check the time, but wasn't able too because someone came running and took it out of his hand and continued running. "Hey give that back!" he yelled but the kid was already gone. "Shall I track him?" Vicktoria asked. "Don't do anything, just follow. I'll stay here and pay for our food, then I'll go look for you." Rais said and watched as Vicktoria said bye to all three of them before running off. She was a really fast runner so it wasn't going to be hard for her to catch up with the thief. "Stay in contact!" he yelled after her and sighed softly. "Sorry about that." he said to the two vendors who probably thought that they were acting very strange.

"N-no, I'm not scared. I just, I've never seen anything like it before! Is there an event in town?" Eloise asked, hoping that she hadn't just caused a problem between the two strangers. When the two had chosen their loaves Max chimed in with "Blueberry and Cheese, coming right up. We usually do meats and cheeses, eggs and other crops but today we're all sold out, so bread is all we have" As the girl began to talk animatedly about taking some produce home for their parents, Eloise realised that the two were related. Brother and sister in fact. "We stay open here until about six, but if you order for collection we can guarantee we'll have what you want left and we'll stay open a little later for you. That's just five pounds all together" Eloise smiled, she had finally recovered and found her voice again. The two of them were definitely not from around here. Their farm was on the outskirts of a tiny village named Salhouse just off the banks of the Norfolk Broads along the coast of England. The River ran through the town in parts but the town centre and market place was deserted of water.

As Eloise turned around with the two loaves neatly packaged, the man was just pulling out a beautiful looking pocket watch, and then it was gone, and the woman had set off running after a brief exchange with her brother. Apparently, someone had stolen the watch! It couldn't have been someone local, or Eloise and Max would have recognised them. "Want me to go after them and help her?" Max asked the man, but she was already gone. "Wow, she's fast! Never mind, I'll never catch up!" he smiled and then let out a little grunt as Eloise elbowed him in the ribs. "I'm so sorry about this! Your first visit to our town and this is how you get treated! I can assure you, these kinds of things don't happen here, and I didn't recognise the their so I don't think he was from around here. Do you want to use my phone to call your parents? I can get the police too!" Eloise said in a hurry. She knew that any business was good business and with the town having such a small population they relied heavily on travellers and tourists. "I'm Eloise Hastings, and this is my brother..." she elbowed him again as he was staring off into space. "Max!" she finished once she finally had his attention. "Yeah, I'm Max. If there's anything we can do for you let me know. And I think this one's on the house" he smiled as he refused to take the man's money. Eloise handed the bag over the counter and nodded. "Yeah, it's the least we can do" she said, trying to figure out where the travellers were from judging by their accent.

Rais looked at the girl and shook his head. "No, she just likes to dress up like this all the time." Rais explained honestly and turned to the male, "That's alright, bread is all we need right now. I'll try to come back and order more bread then to take back home. I'm sure our parents will be excited to try it, it sure smells good." He said easily and with a smile on his face. When he heard what the total was, he was confused. "Five?" he repeated and was about to hand that over but it seemed like they were getting their first order for free. This place really was interesting with all its surprises. He wasn't such a fan of surprises but there wasn't much he could do about it. "Thank-you, and dont' don't be sorry. It just makes this town all the more interesting really. Don't trouble yourself with getting the police involved, I would much rather they don't." Rais started. "I don't want my parents to find out the pocket watch was taken, they'd kill me." he said and laughed nervously. He wondered if Vicktoria had any luck and nodded at what the male said, "Yeah she is isn't she?" he and accepted the free bread.

"Thank-you, it's really nice to meet you two. My name is Rais Steele, and that was my sister Vicktoria. She's the weird one." he introduced and laughed softly. "After all that running I'm sure she'll be more than happy to eat this bread. Thanks again and we'll try to stop by again later. Good luck on your sales and have a good day!" Rais commented happily, and on that note he ran off as fast as he could, wondering where Vicktoria was at this moment. Had she gotten the Pocket Watch?

Victoria frowned when she had lost sight of the thief and sighed softly. Her stomach reminded her how hungry she was and left to go face her brother, knowing how upset he was going to be. She spotted Rais run by and quickly ran after him. "Rais!" she called and gasped when he came to a stop. Her eyes landed on the bread and she grinned. "Rais I'm sorry but the thief is gone. I can't find him. I guess we're stuck here longer than we thought." she explained. Rais frowned and looked around before motioning for her to follow him to a secluded area where they contacted their parents and told them what happened. "You both better find that pocket watch soon!" their parents hissed. "How could you let this happen Rais?! You have to be more careful!" their mother said, obviously upset.

"I'm sorry mom, but we'll be back home as soon as we can. It might not be for a while, we still have to find the theif, and we will. We won't stop looking." Rais replied. "We'll find him mom, and then we'll bring you both something from here. Try not to worry, we'll be okay." Vicktoria reassured, though she was already missing home. When the call ended, both she and Rais decided to enjoy some of their bread and were more than happy with the way it tasted. "This is so good, an interesting idea to put stuff in bread. I always thought bread was plain." Vicktoria noted. "So did I. It seems the people here have creative minds." Rais said as he took another bite of his bread. "How long do you think we're stuck here for?" Vicktoria asked softly. "I don't know...but it might be a while so we'll have to find some place to stay and get some sleep." Rais replied quietly.

Eloise and Max called out their goodbye's in tandem and then shared a look which was a mixture of confusion and humour. "I honestly have no idea what just happened" Eloise laughed. "Me neither" came the chuckling reply. The sun was moving into the highest point in the sky and Max began to set up the fabric canopy along the top of the stall to stop the harshest of the sun's rays getting to them. Eloise was thankful for the shade and relief it provided. They had the same skin, they were both quite pale, but Eloise was the only one who burned in the sunshine. Max just got really tanned and then pale again in a matter of days. It was quite funny really.

The hours trailed on, one after another, and slowly the market began to quiet and the crowds started to disperse. Their father had been back in the truck to drop off some more things for them to sell, and also some lunch for the hungry siblings. He had done a wonderful job of raising them both, and was attentive and caring as any mother would have been. Eloise remembered him once telling Max that children needed both of their parents to flourish, but since we only had him, he tried twice as hard to make up for that. He used to joke that he was their mother and their father all wrapped up in one, especially in the mornings when the two of them had come downstairs to find their father slaving over the stove with an apron on, desperately trying to make them breakfast without burning it.

Having been only 7 years old when they lost mother, Eloise had never really had much of a chance to discuss girly things with her. Like how to buy underwear that fit right, what to do with boys and how to do her make up properly. So when those situations arose, Jacob, their father, had called every woman he knew to ask for advice so that he could come back to her with helpful and correct answers. "Do you miss her?" she had once asked Jacob, and the look of pain and sorrow that filled his face almost broke Eloise's heart. His answer was short and simple, but had stayed with her since that day. "I miss her the way we miss the summer sunshine. Desperately sad to see it go when winter comes, but comforted by the knowledge that we'll see it again soon".

"Max, what time is it? Do you think they're coming back?" she asked as the hours rolled on and the crowd became barely a few people strong. "It's five thirty. I don't know, but if they are coming they best try and get here soon. I've got a date tonight, so when six comes, we're packing up and heading home!" he laughed. Eloise stared at him for a second, her mouth wide open. "What?" he eventually asked her, sick of her staring. "You have a date? How could you not tell me you have a date!? Who is she?" she blurted out in response, and then watched as Max's face when from confusion to seer disbelief and then he burst into laughter. "What's so funny?" she asked, giving him a nudge with her shoulder. "Calm down Miss Overprotective. Your the baby in this family. And besides. You missed my joke. I do have a date, with Betsy. Dad says she's going to birth tonight, and I want to be there. She's my favorite!" he said, a slight hint of a blush spreading across his cheeks. "Oh. Shut up!" she laughed as she turned her back on him and began to load the pallets up with what little remained from their stock.

"What about the bread for mom and dad?" Vicktoria asked and took another bite of her bread. Rais shrugged. "That will have to wait until we get the pocket watch back." he replied and frowned. "I can't believe it's gone. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight." he muttered. Vicktoria frowned, she wished she had caught up to the male that had stolen it. "Don't worry Rais. We'll get it back soon, I promise." she said softly and hugged him reassuringly. "Come on, maybe those kind vendors know a place where we can stay for the night." Rais said as he stood up. He really hated these sort of surprises. Now they were stuck here for who knew how long. Vicktoria stood easily with him and followed him back towards the spot where they had met the kind vendors. The only way anyone would be able to see how sad she was, was by the frown on her lips.

Vicktoria didn't like seeing her brother so sad. She wanted to cheer him up and the only way to do that, was to find that pocket watch. That was easier said than done though. How was she going to find that male? Sure she knew what he looked like, but where did he live? What were the chances that she'd see him again? What were the chances he even had the pocket watch anymore? Maybe he had sold it or given it away. The best way of finding the pocket watch was by keeping an eye out for it. That pocket watch was one of a kind, she just hoped that no one had played with it or broke it.

When they arrived, the place looked empty and Rais managed a weak smile. "Hello again." he said and scratched the back of his head. "It looks like we won't be able to get home, not today anyway. We had to call our parents and well...they were upset." he explained. "We cannot return home until we get the pocket watch, our parents said so." Vicktoria added sadly. "So we won't be able to buy the bread for our parents as we first planned, our apologies." Rais informed and frowned. "Do you know of any place where we can stay for the night?" he asked quietly.
