I adore Doctor Who! ^_^ I don't watch Torchwood, but I watch Doctor Who. It is an awesome show, I miss it so much. I haven't been able to watch it because I moved from the UK in 2006.
Ianto's character was originally going to be Idris Hopper. So he would have appeared in the show before in a minor role like Tosh. Don't know why it didn't go ahead though. When Gareth got the role he had already played a character called Yanto Jones. ^^;
I also usually download or borrow things before buying them, to check them out. I'm too poor to buy loads of things, so I only buy things I really, really want. And the thigns I do really, really want, I do usually end up buying because I like having an actual copy. And of course, they're worth spending money on too.
Hmm? The second season of the new series Doctor is David Tennant. The second season of the old series Doctor is William Hartnell, who was the very first Doctor. :3
I like Tom Baker, David Tennant, Christopher Eccleston and Paul McGann.
At the end of Ten's stint, he ends up making a clone of himself, only the clone is entirely human, so that he can stay and grow old with Rose.
Win-win, that way the Doctor goes on traveling, and Rose gets her doctor to actually have a relationship with.
Of course, it's also win-win-lose because the real Doctor is still in love with her, and he himself can't have her because he won't grow old while she does.
::sigh::
Rona Munro told The Guardian that it was lazy to suggest the possibility of romance between the show's lead character and those that join him in the TARDIS.
Munro said: "This is my chance to say it. I don't think The Doctor should have fallen in love with anybody. I think that's wrong. I don't think there should be any snogging or any sexual tension because he's a Time Lord, and his companion is but a mortal."
^ from the woman who wrote Seven's last adventure.
(when I write Seven I keep thinking of Seven of Nine and confusing myself)
I don't think it's wrong, but I do agree it's lazy writing. That's not what I watch Doctor Who for. The companions who turn around and tell the Doctor he's a spectacular man, but they're not just into him like that, will always win my admiration.
Awwwh! That's so sweet! :3
I've only seen the sad ones, with them. D:
How do you do the spoiler tags, anyways? ',:<
edit: @Kat- First of all, hee, Star Trek. <3
Second, I agree; Dr. Who is not about romance. And I do prefer the women who are fine without being in love with the Doctor. Still, I think the romance is sweet, because I'm a sap for that kind of stuff. ^w^
What about the 4th Doctor's companion, who was also a Timelord. Eh? EH?! xP
(*forgets her name* Ergggh, what was it...? It starts with an R...)

I wonder if the Doctor will ever pay Rotherham a visit... probably not. The last three sidekicks were from London, so I'll bet the next one's a Londoner too. *sigh* Stupid Londoners! *shakes fist in a southwardly direction*
Lauren is one of the presenters for The Culture Show and she's been on panel shows like Mock the Week. She was in a band called Kenickie, in the 90's I think.

I share the same dream as every little girl in this country. When I grow up (which I won't) I want to be the Doctor's assistant.
