Yum! What lovely entries so far! I've got a lot of updating to do after dinner tonight!

And my Bouche de Noel is out of the oven cooling while the whipping cream for the frosting is in the fridge mixing the rest of the way. So excited! Now I just have to hope that I really can roll a cake! lol.

Carzee- Yay piping bags! There is a video: Dollar Store Crafts » Blog Archive » Mind-Blowing Cake Decorating Tip
That has a great tip for piping bags filling/cleaning etc. I found it to be immensely useful. :3 It will remove the frustrating part of piping!

Ooooo I like that tip lots! normally I just use 2 colors max because all I have are 2 piping bags and I don't like to clean them. that tip changes everything! :p

Hurm... Well you mix your frosting with the color and then put it onto syran wrap (the clear stuff you put over bowls when you have to chill something in the fridge...I don't know if it's called syran where you are... plastic wrap? Anyway, then you roll that up kinda like a candy so the frosting is totally encased in the wrap. then you slide that into the piping bag and cut the end of the wrap at the tip. Frost your cake/cookies until you're done with that color and move on to the next. You just pull out the frosting wrap thing and toss it and the piping bag is clean!

I don't know if I explained that well or not. Which is why I posted the link to the video. My explainations can get...weird?
Maybe you can find it online/on youtube? The show I think is called Karens cookies and the title of this one is "cookie decorating/color mixing and bag filling" I hope you can get it to work...because it really is quite nifty. ^^;;

I only have one piping bag, so this saved me a TON of cleaning. xD

DONE! :D

I found it to be totally odd to make, because there is no flour in the cake. I'd never made a flourless cake before. xD And it didn't crack when I rolled it so I'm totally thrilled with the results. And a little bit drunk off awesome. :lol: (No alcohol in this awesome...in case anyone was wondering)

Roachi- lol. I need to make cookies for Santa with the kids still...but hubby is in there cleaning and being mean and cranky. So I don't know how well this is going to go for us tonight... haha. He's decided that Santa was sugar cookies... but damn it, mrs. claus is still getting her peanut butter blossoms!

I just...don't know when I'll get in there to make the cookies for him because he's acting the scrooge!

They are his favorite cookies! He's just being a brat... :lol:
But he's getting the dishes done and the kitchen cleaned, so I really shouldn't complain.

I made cookies with my mom every year I was able to help. I always enjoyed it. (: And thus I do it with mine now. Though now I understand why she decided to ask who wanted to help rather than just have all of us help...because three little monsters helping make one batch of cookies is messy work! D:

Lols, well good man. Its a task sometimes trying to get my partner to do anything lol.
Haha i could imagine. I got my nephew and nieces to help make pizza, omg disaster! I think most of the ingredients went into their little tummys rather then on the pizza bases xD lol.

Yeah...I've had that happen with pizzas too! Toppings and cheese wind up in tummies, on the table or on the floor more often then on the pizzas. ):
