Well, I'm exhausted.

Too much time running around shopping with my gramma, then trick or treating with my nephew.

My sister can't function without my mother. So my mom will have to sort it out when she gets back. My sister can't get it through her head that no one in this house wants to be within 1000 miles of her. She's rude, loud, insulting, selfish, and out right mean. She drove us all away from her while she lived here and then she moved to Kentucky. And we don't speak, really. Like, for serious. I go out of my way to avoid conversing with her. That sounds terrible, but when you talk to her, she tries to pick fights with you. And no one wants to be around her, but she comes up here anyway and just causes trouble. Last time she was here, my little sister ended up having a nervous break down!

Hint, Hint: Gtfo of my house!

But then again I can understand, I can't stand my little brother and my grandmother still insists on trying to 'do the right thing' and help him. He's 18 yrs old, well 19yrs after midnight, has gotten into more than enough legal trouble and continues to do the illegal stuff, that I would sooner cut him out of my life. I actually hold my neglectful parents in a higher regard than my brother. -.-

My little sister beat the stuffing out of her once. My little sister is like 5'4" and the rude one is 5'10". She is all bark and no bite.

Actually, if you start replacing things like sugar with salt, the cake won't bake properly. Baking is science. Every ingredient serves a specific purpose, which is why baking is an exact art.

Changing the amount of the baseline ingredients or excluding them suddenly changes how they react chemically, which could bring about disastrous results. That is what you're aiming for in theory, but you lose the purpose when it becomes a brick or doesn't bake at all lol

True. I should've remembered that. I was baking last night...

I made mini cheesecakes. I took a baseline recipe of ingredients and then took the spices and seasonings I wanted to add and blended till I was happy. Of course I did have to be careful. The baking process itself could either amplify or dampen the flavors in the mix. I guess depending on the type of mix.

But I made one batch with just an 8oz thing of cream cheese, one egg, sugar, and vanilla as a base. Then added in cinnamon, nutmeg, and the pumpkin spice. My other batch included an equal amount of sour cream to the sugar. Small batch, only 1/3 cup. What I'm thinking, though, is if it goes over well, which it has so far, I'll make a larger cheesecake for thanksgiving. Plus I might bake the crust too. Give it that crunch.
