What is Avatar Battle Royale?
It is a picture posting role-play of two or more artists fighting each other out by making comic responses by using their current avatar selves as their fighters.

How do I fight?
Simple; Draw your avatar out in the open by him/herself and wait for someone to draw a response of his/her avatar character attacking your avatar (or vice versa). Think of this as if you are role-playing except you are drawing out your actions visually to your audience.

For those who are still confused, this is what the pattern is usually like:
1. A user draws their avatar posing, taunting, or calling out for a challenge
2. Another user responses to this artist by attacking or taunting back to their opponent
3. Then the two artists takes turn fighting, attacking, defending, recovering, etc… against each other.
Just remember, this is for PICTURE POSTING only. Unless you drew a picture of your character attacking but with no text to explain what you did in the picture, you are more than allowed to type out what you did.

Do I have to make this in any specific way?
We highly encourage you make every response in a comic (or at least a few panels), but we have no problem with artists drawing one panel as a response to their opponent.

What am I allowed/not allowed to do?
1. Godmod or Mary-sue; Godmodding is your character magically being able to kill any opponent in one shot, recover some any attack or receive no damage; basically a PERFECT character. THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS PERFECT CHARACTERS IN ABR. Please be fair to receive damage when appropriate and recover from an attack every other response. If someone sends a complaint to us about someone being unfair you will be warned. If this behavior continues we might be forced to place the offender on a black list, banning them from ABR forever.

2. You cannot have more than two characters of your own at the same time. This is for your avatar- you may use companions and what weaponry you can come up with but remember that the focus should be the avatar characters, not them.

3. If you have an Original Character that you want to use in ABR, please do your best to make an avatar of him/her that you can post for reference. Do not post a picture up and say, “Hey, this is the guy I’m going to be using, okay?” This is an AVATAR Battle Royale. Draw your character based on your avatar please. (We would be more than happy to link to an OC Battle Royale if one should be made!)

4. YOU CAN NOT KILL YOUR OPPONENT WITHOUT HIS OF HER AGREEMENT! Like the godmodding rule, you cannot kill your opponent. However, if you send a PM to them and ask if you can and are granted permission, go ahead. If the other artist is unable to continue to draw in your fight then you may come up with a means for their character to disappear (rather than die).

5. Blood and gore are likely to appear considering the content of this thread, but do keep it PG-13 as the ToS require. Fully presented nudity is not allowed, so if your character gets naked somehow, please use some sort of censorship or a censor-bar to protect your character’s innocence.

6. Please do not have conversations in this thread. Remember, this is a picture posting thread. If you want to talk to people about the fight or anything ABR related please take it to the discussion thread.

7. DO NOT SPAM! SPAMMING IS 500% NOT ALLOWED IN HERE! You will be warned if you spam and if you continue to spam you will be banned!!

8. Any other questions, please send me a PM!

The person I wanted to fight was taken away by another person! What do I do?
If there was someone you wanted to fight but someone else took them, you have to either find another opponent, wait out their fight, or ask the two if you can fight them in a 3-way battle. Group battles can happen, but please do not try to attack more than one opponent at once so that you can fight them all by yourselves. Some people do this to try to get more art from their opponent of their character fighting theirs. If we see this happen or receive complains about it we will warn you or ban you on the spot.
