I'm guessing it's harder to bake things at night?

Well, it's harder to use loud appliances because my grandparents want to sleep yanno.

I'm back. It wasn't so bad at work, but it was work and it was not me here at home playing with my new mixer. And now my grandfather is asleep, so I can't play with it at all ;_; Usually, he's up and puttering around. I left butter out to soften, hoping I could make those cookies when I got home

I've actually never had a problem cooking at night, but that's cause anyone who isn't a night owl sleeps like the dead. ^^;

I kinda hate when chance does that though. Especially when it's a Queen or two.

Lately, my grandfather has been staying up really late and being quite the insomniac, so I totally expected to be able to make the cookie dough anyway! But when I got home he was asleep! x_X

Yeah. I also didn't get to do the laundry like I needed. *sighs* But apparently five people called out at work, including the closing manager! WTF! Luckily, it wasn't too crazy while I was there.

I put my butter away. I'll just make the dough tomorrow. The thing is, it's a recipe where you let the dough sit in the fridge for a day or two, because the ingredients get to settle together happily and mingle and become friends. That makes better cookies. So it'll be a few days before anyone gets cookies. And the people who didn't show up for work don't get any :P

How does that even happen? >_<

Well, it's called Chance. We're taking the Chance that the odds are in our favor. I mean, it's better odds to go higher when it's a two, but there's always that slim chance that it's not. Frustrating, but that's how it works.
