He doesn't have his magic to teleport - was the first to leave him when he set foot in the Goblin Kingdom - he blames Sarah for everything and is "punishing her: by making her escort him through the labyrinth because she's already done it without magic and he hasn't - Rheila has to stay behind to keep the castle in check and keep everything under control as best she can while they travel the labyrinth~

For tomorrow: How is Jareth going to deal with the Nai'Callait when he gets there? He's still bitter about Sarah and he has no magic and she has no magic and Rheila's back at the castle.

I'm thinking he thinks Nai doesn't know he's lost his magic so he thinks he can bluff his way through it to scare Nai into submission once again :3

Hmmm... Yeah, that COULD work for the story... But also, Jareth isn't stupid. He's magic-less, the Nai'Callait is not. And it can take things out of time. So yeah. It's kind of dangerous now.

...How about they get magical items? Like, the items are imbued with magical properties so, even though Jareth and Sarah don't have magic, they can still stand a better chance than going in empty-handed?

True, but knowing Jareth - he isn't going to want to look weak either - so he may be careful and think ahead, but he'd still have that cocky "all-knowing" air about him as well - at least, that's what I would assume anyway~

Anyways, yeah. You're probably right about the amulet having the power thing. And I like that! Or that cane he has when he's looking down from his castle at the fighting, in the movie? Either one; the riding crop is probably better, though. Less snazzy. But what would be the power? And what about Sarah?

Well, the power could be contained in the crystal - no idea on what power it could possess though~

As for Sarah - a hairclip would work - or perhaps the ring she gives the Goblin with the talking hat?

How about we stick with the riding crop... then we don't have to worry about where the power's contained, just what it does.

But--she gave the ring to him. That means it's gone, right? O__o;; The hairclip could be like Jareth being all, "Hey, remember that time you defeated me and broke my heart and by the way this is still all your fault".

I was just thinking it was something people often forget about and it could be something that Jareth may have taken from the old man to remember her by? Perhaps?
And it could be one of the things that stops him from forgetting her while he's in the human world?

Okay, watched a clip of "Dance Magic" on YouTube; don't think the riding crop has a crystal on the hilt. I think there's a separate riding crop AND a cane in the movie that he uses at different times.

And why would he bring something to remember her by if he wanted to forget her? We've already established that he's pretty dedicated to making himself busy forgetting with the restaurant and all.

Again - just an idea - kind of came up with it on the spot - not something we have to use~

What if at one point, Nai' Callait get's Jareth in it's grasp and nearly destroys him - but Sarah realizes she loves him and that pushes back Nai' Callait so that Jareth has a bit of an upper-hand with the riding crop?
Maybe something like that?

Yeah--like, she could realize, in a hard, fast burst of light or whatever, that she would miss him and that without him her life would never be the same, never be right. And it takes her sort of by surprise, and those combined feelings of love and shock weaken the Nai'Callait?
