Having a charity is quite nice, here at Mene at least.
Used to run a giveaway at Gaia for about nine months in 06. Wasn't really much fun - people were so rude there.

XD I left Gaia because of that. When you even offer or suggest you might offer gold, or even if you don't, about 100 different people come and post that they want money. I'm glad they have an anti-begging clause on Mene. At least when you apply to a charity, you don't get those stupid not-thought-out comments. Rather, they don't go unpunished. XD

I agree. That's the same reason I quit Gaia. Thrice. xD Came back the first two times, but I doubt I will this time. xD

My charity has no application forms, yet I think that I have donated to about everyone who has posted there more than twice since it exists. It was started just after the Val 08 event - barely 1,5 months after I joined Mene - and we have surpassed the 1250th page moments ago. xD We've been at an average of 8+ pages a day for the last week, which is extremely much for a charity. xD

I guess I got used to it. I am a regular in many of the active charities, so I guess a few pages more or less isn't too big a deal for me.
I do sometimes wonder how I keep up with the funds because despite of everything, my charity still is somewhat around 165k in worth, I believe. It was that way the last time I checked. xD

XD I might but I'd be afraid someone would give me stuff *doesn't need it* - but yeah, the funding thing must be insane, do you just do the games each day or something for 1K? I find that doing that consistently can rack up the money pretty quickly.
