Hephaestus grumbled under his breath as he paced back and forth.

"Really, Ro?" he asked, looking over at the other two. He recognized them, even in their human avatars. "Really? Even now, you're doing this? You know, I thought, maybe just once, this one would be enough for you." He glared at the two of them.

Ares just rolled his eyes, as much as he could; his avatar was a little damaged, and the eyes didn't work right, but that didn't stop him any from getting what (and who) he wanted.

Aphrodite shrugged fluidly. "When has one ever been enough?" she asked, watching Hephaestus pace. "You know me by now. I'm not exactly the monogamous type, Hephaestus." But she was watching him in case he had a fit of temper and tried to damage her avatar. She was rather fond of this one, really.

"Don't try to pull that one over on me," Hephaestus snarled. "I have been a good husband to you, and you give nothing in return. I even thought to choose an attractive avatar this time, one less broken than I am, and still nothing."

Aphrodite shrugged again. "You haven't been trying all that hard, honestly," she said. "Besides, you knew what you were getting into with me. It's not as if I ever tried to make this a secret."

"You are the worst kind of bitch, Ro," Hephaestus growled. "You never even once tried to be a decent wife."

"No," Aphrodite snapped back. "I didn't try, because I didn't want to be a wife, remember?"

"You could have at least put in some effort," Hephaestus spat. "Even a little."

"And let you get your hopes up so you'd only hate me more?" Aphrodite scoffed and shook her hair back out of her face.

"Not that it seems to stop you now," Hephaestus pointed out. He snarled under his breath. "Fine. Whatever. Do what you want, I'm done."

"Like me doing whatever I want has ever stopped you," Aphrodite shot back, glowering at him. But she could tell this particular argument was almost over.

"Fuck you, Ro," Hepaestus snarled. Turning he stalked out of the apartment, letting go of his avatar as he did. Tony stumbled a step and swore when he abruptly got control back.

Aphrodite scoffed and looked at Ares. "Next time," she murmured before also releasing her avatar. Arianna blinked rapidly as she adjusted to being back in control and tried to figure out where she was and what exactly was going on.

"I look forward to it," Ares murmured back. He gave her one last kiss and then released his own avatar. Matt froze for a moment as he tried to get his bearings and find out exactly what was happening, because he definitely did not remember any of the situation he currently found himself in.

"Tony," Arianna said slowly, holding the sheet up around her. Honestly, this wasn't the oddest situation she'd found herself in. But it was close. "What the hell is going on here?"

Tony stopped, just a few steps shy of the door and his shoulders hunched.

"Actually, I second that," Matt said. "What are you two doing in my apartment?" He turned his head so he was facing Arianna. "And what are you doing in my bed?" Actually, he had a pretty good idea of what they had been doing, but still, he had no memory of actually initiating it.

Tony sighed and turned around.

"Congrats, you both got taken on a joyride," he said. "Take it up with your higher-ups, because this, this is officially Not My Problem, I have other things I could be doing besides this, so I'm out of here."

Arianna looked at Tony with big eyes before she groaned and let her head fall into her hands.

"Dammit, I told her to give me warning!" She grumbled. She glanced at Matt to see how he was taking this, because really, clearly he was the delicate flower in this situation.

Matt just groaned as well, pinching the bridge of his nose with one hand. This was not the first time, he knew, but it WAS the first time that Ares had left him before Aphrodite had taken her avatar back home again.

"I will find some way to kill him," he muttered. Good Catholic boys were not supposed to be used as living embodiments of ancient deities, let alone for celestial booty calls. "You as well, then, I take it?" The question was directed towards Arianna.

"Normally she's much better about giving me warning or leaving me a note or something," Arianna said apologetically. "We came to an agreement after the first time I got stuck at a frat house." She made a face. "Dammit, I didn't even get to enjoy all the sex she's been using me to have!"

"This isn't the first time you've been here, I don't think," Matt admitted. "There have been a few. I never got to enjoy it either, if that helps?"

"That's it, I'm gone," Tony said. He practically fell out of the apartment door in his haste to be Anywhere But There.

"Bye Tony! I'll call you later!" Arianna called after him. She hooked her hair behind her ear before she looked back at Matt.

"You know, if they're going to be using it, I at least want to enjoy it." She grinned a bit, watching him.

Matt raised an eyebrow. Well, when she put it that way...

"I'm willing if you are," he said, giving her a bit of a grin.

Arianna grinned at that. "I mean, were already here," she reasoned. "And you've got a very comfortable bed."

"Silk sheets," Matt agreed mildly, grinning. "It would be a shame to let the opportunity slip away."

"It would." Arianna's grin turned teasing. "I promise to still respect you in the morning."

"Good to know," Matt said. With that, he leaned in to make full use of his excellent bed.

Elsewhere, Luna grumbled as her cell phone woke her up out of a light doze. She could feel the presence of Artemis lingering in the back of her spirit, but apparently mundane matters like phone calls were Not Her Problem, and so fell to Luna.
