These are two very interactive and touch-demanding visual novel/mystery games for the DS that I was introduced to by a friend. The company CING took a lot of care making the characters realistic, and I think their hard work paid off. Unfortunately, the second game (Last Window) won't be making its way to the United States because the company went bankrupt. It's such a shame, these two games of theirs were really good (albeit the plot develops slowly).

Anyway, I managed to snag a European version of the sequel game, and I love the two games to bits. Kyle Hyde is my man. He's so cool yet cute at the same time...

Did anyone else try these games yet? What do you think?

I've played the first one, but I still have to buy the second.
The first was a lot of fun, although I don't really remember much about it, I just know I really enjoyed it when I got into it. xD

Shame the company went bankrupt. ):
More would've been good. . . xD

Right? It was super awesome. :squee:

Yeah, I can't totally remember what happened in Hotel Dusk anymore, but I remember I liked the novelty of the game. It incorporated quite a few features of the DS.

I was heartbroken when I found out The Last Window wouldn't be making a U.S debut. The art is much better, and Kyle ditches that Red Crown jacket for a snazzy suit and tie. (You get to see shots of him changing too, which I think is a plus... )

Haha, I am so going to have to get it.
Maybe i'll ask it for christmas. xD

I guess at least it's on DS, as they're region free.

Yep. The only little quirks that make you know it's not an American game is some English spelling (i.e "colour instead of "color") and a few terms that are used more often there...

I just ordered Hotel Dusk! I can't wait to play it. Did you play Trace Memory? I loved that game, but it was a bit short.

Hooray! You will not be disappointed.

Oh, no I haven't that game. But I know it's also by Cing. How is it?

Sad to hear when a company has to shut down D:

I know. Whenever someone mentions Hotel Dusk/Last Window, I just get really down because I know no new games like that will come out. :c

If you like Hotel Dusk, you'll like Trace Memory. I enjoyed playing both. <3

So is the sequel called "Last Window?" And do you know if it's out in the US yet?

Yeah, people've recommended Trace Memory to me, I just haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

Last Window isn't ever going to come out in the US because the company Cing went bankrupt right after releasing it in Europe. If you want to try it, I recommend getting the European version. There's really no big deal except maybe spelling "color" like "colour" or something...
