I just got a new net book, I love every thing about it but its OS. windows starter 7 is making me want to cry, literally. I am this close to tears, nothing from my old laptop, vista, will run in windows 7. I really hope you have better luck.

Oh... my... gosh.

I hope you realize that you could've had a machine way better than that for the same price. Unless you were dying for the portability over performance, you just ripped yourself off SOOOOOO badly... And even worse so if you consider the kinds of deals you can get on ebay for new custom machines.

This for instance. Adding $100 for an OS, $200 for a big monitor, $100-$125 for the other 2GB ram and $100 for a hard drive, this machine would STILL probably cost less than $1000. With a 3.4ghz quad core processor, nonetheless...

GAMERS BLACK! PHENOM II QUAD COREx4 965 BAREBONE SYSTEM - eBay (item 310189814062 end time Dec-30-09 08:15:13 PST)

Laptops are neat for their portability, but what you sacrifice for it, while paying MORE, is just insane.

Since you're discussing your laptop, I've gone ahead and moved this into our Computer and Video Games forum.

Wow this looks like a pretty nice laptop. I don't think you'll get much battery life out of it, though. Since it's a gaming laptop it's probably pretty heavy, too. Great purchase!

Hmm, not too bad. I bought an Alienware Aurora ALX about a month and a half ago. I've wanted an Alienware for a while, and I finally decided to buy one. Unfortunately for me, it keeps getting delayed due to hardware shortages...so I'm still waiting...Thanks a lot Dell...lol
