Shaun noticed the look on Kaci's face. "Is there something wrong?"

"no nothings wrong," she said but it was a lie. Truth was tthat her parents lived in the city they were in. She missed them but they had had an arguement before she had left.

"Well, do you want to grab a bite to eat?"

"sure," she said with a smile.

David took Kaci out to a seafood resturant. He ordered the salmon. "So, is this your first time on earth?"

"uh not really. i visited once," she said.

"I was born here. When I was ten, my family moved to Artica"

she couldn't lie to him she just couldn't. "Actually i was born here too. My family was asked to join the artica project. i was the only one who accepted. Before i left me and my father had a arguement. Thats waht i was thinking of earlier," she said.

"I'm very sorry. Do they still live around here?"

"yes but it doesn't matter. they probably wouldn't even like if i visited," she said.

"Sorry if I opened any old wounds"

"no its fine. it is good to talk about it with someone.

"Not just anyone. Your future husband, remember?" Shaun leaned over and kissed her.

She blushed and smiled. "Yes i am glad its you," she siad with a smile.

"Do you want to see them?"

"i don't know if i should. i would hate to go and my dad still be angry at me," she said.

"I don't wan't to apply any pressure. Besides, we have the negotiations tomorrow"

"maybe i should atleast try and go talk to them," she said.

"You can't stay angry at each other forever"

"i think i will go after dinner. would you like to come as well?" she asked.

Shaun held her hand. "Of course. I will always have your back"

"ok lets go," she said with a smile.
