It surprised me. I found the note shoved under the door when I was taking Miscreant to get his drivers license renewed. Silly boy forgot to do it before his birthday & it was expired by the time I could get him there.
It is a few hours drive away so we can only go when I have time off of work. If we tried to go after I got done at work visiting hours would probably be over. We are so short handed, at this point 4 of us are sharing one person to fill in for us. One of the other ladies has taken most of this week off because she is part owner of a florist shop so she is super busy & one of the others I share the fill in with is on baby watch. Her daughter is due any day now. I have put in a formal request for a fill-in, so hopefully I will get one of the ones they are trying to hire. I sort of feel sorry for the guy who fills in for us because he is getting bounced around so much.

yeah having to drive so far away is hard
but I remember being in the VA in Rota
all alone and it was so difficult
on a plus I got to see a guy who was gored ;p
but still I didn't even have bottled water
it was really hard and sad and lonely

one good thing is fill in guy is getting good work
but yeah being a ping pong filler-inner has to be hard

I also remember sitting in the hospital for almost a week with very few people coming to visit & I was in the same county. Avalei drove an hour or so to come see me twice while I was in there. She is a great friend. Miscreant didn't want to leave my side. I made him go home a couple of nights so he could get some sleep.
