Adam looked at Trey, feeling a little guilty for ruining the night for Trey. He knew that Trey loved their walks and that he was probably looking forward to it, but Adam didn't want anything bad to happen to his band mates. He shifted a little under Emil's arm, but he did feel a lot less anxious now that they were heading back to their hotel.

He looked passed Emil and reached to pat Trey's shoulder,

"We can." He wanted to reach out and ruffle Trey's hair but he decided against it. He let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and folded his arms, keeping his hands underneath them. He leaned in closer to Emil, still feeling wary of their surroundings. "It'll be light out soon... The second we get to the hotel I'm going to sleep." He mumbled. He lowered his head as he stared at he feet while they walked, still feeling a little bad for being so paranoid.

Since the dawn would come soon, it was probably best they left now. Trey understood that and it made him feel a little better, the logical side of it. The fact that they could try again tomorrow made him feel much better though. "I'm glad," he said in a soft voice. He referred to multiple things, but somehow just the two words seemed to express it all better than a lengthy explanation.

For the rest of the walk back, he kept silent and let himself remain as near as the other two as possible without actually tripping up someone's feet. It didn't take long to make the trek back since the city wasn't large, unlike other places they'd played at. Once in the hotel's lobby, he stopped to look back at the other two, trying to smile. "Sleep well."

Adam gave his best attempt at a smile, and he nodded at his friends. He sauntered to the stairs with a lazy gait, he never did like elevators, they were always too small, too crowded. He was thankful that only the hotel staff seemed to be awake at this hour and there weren't any other humans around to suspect them of anything mischievous.

He made it to the hotel room easily and pulled out his copy of the key from his pants pocket. He didn't wait for his bandmates to show up on his floor to wish them good day, he just pushed the door open and walked into his hotel room, deciding to leave the lights off, as he preferred to bask in the darkness.

He let out a sigh and began slide out of his black jean jacket, then he pulled off his white shirt and flopped onto the bed face first. He started to think, remembering all the nights that they'd done this, where they'd perform, then drink, then dispose of the body. It never bothered him before, it didn't really bother him now, but he felt the more bodies they'd drink, they were that much closer to being discovered. Adam would rather live the rest of his life in hiding than witness the deaths of his friends and see the injustice of them being buried without a funeral. He slid off the bed and walked towards one of the many musical instrument cases he'd kept in his hotel room, he had a few others that he kept in Emil and Trey's rooms as well, knowing he couldn't fit all of his beloved instruments in one place.

He grabbed the closest case to him and sat on the bed to open it... Once open, a bright, shiny wooden Mandolin smiled up at him. He picked it up carefully and held it for a while, allowing his mind to remember the face of that woman... the one who'd turned him. He scooted over to the headboard of the bed and began to play as softly as he could, careful not to wake up anyone who might be sleeping. He started writing a new funeral song, one that would have words like a Shakespearean sonnet, one that would have made her smile had she been alive to hear it...

He said to his band members that the first thing he'd do was fall asleep, and he was truly tired, but, if he must fall asleep, he'd rather he fall asleep to the sound of his own music.

Their attempts at smiles made Emil's own smile widen as he pulled his arms back to his sides. "Good night." he called after them. While his band-mates made their way to their own rooms, Emil lingered in the lobby, checking with the receptionist when they would have to check out and such other thing, though in truth he had it all memorized already. Leaving the woman giggling at some joke or other that he had uttered, Emil finally made his way up to his own hotel room.

He flicked the lights on, sliding them down to a dim setting before shedding his sweater and letting it pool on the floor. He kicked his boots off and stooped to take off his socks as well before padding around the bed and settling down in the armchair next to the window, picking up the music player he had left on the side table the day before. Sliding a pair of headphones on, Emil put on some music before picking up a thick novel from the same table and opening it to the last page he had been on, deciding to read until it was time for them to be up and about once more.

Moving at his usual slow speed, Trey didn't reach his room very fast and he could already hear Adam in his. He paused for a minute outside of his door, listening to the soft music. Who did he write the song for? Why did it sound so sad? Even though he'd heard such melodies from Adam many times before, the mourning sounds never quite made sense to him. Maybe because he'd never loved anyone, he'd never mourned either. Finally, he turned toward his own room and slipped inside.

Not bothering to turn on any lights, he shed clothing items as he walked, leaving them scattered all over the floor. Taking his headphones with him, Trey drew himself a bath and disappeared into the water. A playlist of old Celtic and inspired modern songs played through, letting him disappear for a good portion of the morning. The water and the music relaxed him more than any person could, even if they had good intentions. He fell asleep after a while, knees tucked up under his chin and his arms around them. For once, he expression looked peaceful and normal without any hint of the usual awkwardness and tension he usually carried with him when around others.

"Are you sure that it's the right band?" Berit asked the hotel receptionist. She was getting really tired of people telling her that they saw the band and then later on, finding out that it was the wrong band, usually a band with a similar name, or a similar "look". The receptionist only gave her the same answer, that the band that was staying there was called Opera At Midnight and that she knew nothing more of them other than that she'd just seen them come in and she'd spoken to a member just a few moments earlier.

"I'll probably have to wait until morning to talk to them..." Berit sighed. She kept running in circles with this case and it seemed like as soon as she got a step in the right direction, she'd take a few more steps back. She had no choice but to wait until morning to talk to them, just for questioning, but if she waited, she'd run the risk of them leaving town and her never finding them again. She still wasn't sure if the receptionist got the band name right, though it did match the information she had on her files...

The receptionist went on to tell her that she may be able to catch them while they were still awake, as they'd only gone to their rooms just moments before. Berit went against the idea of disturbing them this late at night. She's never had any experience with bands or rock culture, but from what she's been told, rock bands can be pretty testy, eccentric people. She didn't want to be on the receiving end of any ill will these members might have if she were to knock on their doors and demand answers to her questions.

"Thank you for the information..." Berit said to the receptionist. "And, if you can, can you give me their check out dates and check in dates and any more information on these people? I'll give you my work number. It's gotten so crazy in the field, I've got two cells, can you believe that? One for home and one for work. Gah." She made small talk as she pulled out a note pad and began to scribble her number onto the paper for the receptionist. "If anything suspicious happens, please notify me or call this number right below mine... Alright, I need to get going. This has been a long, tiring night for me and I don't sleep well at night knowing that there's murderers roaming around town." She quickly noticed the way the receptionist seemed to change her demeanor to that of a fearful child, trying to hide how scared they were. Berit backpedaled,

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that whoever is causing these disappearances will do time." With that she gave a friendly, reassuring smile to the receptionist and headed out of the hotel.

Adam woke up slowly, not quite remembering when he'd fallen asleep. He groaned as he rolled off the bed, stumbling around in the darkness for a while before he reached the window of his hotel room. He pulled back the curtains and was welcomed with the same familiar darkness he'd seen when he fell asleep. The sun had just gone down and he knew that his fellow band members were probably awake or just waking up as well.

He rubbed his eyes as he reached for the mandolin on his bed, carefully picking it up by the neck and walking it over to it's open case, gently laying it down in the cushioned comfort of it's case. He closed the case and glanced at the digital clock on the desk next to his bed. 11:47pm. It was still early... And he did owe Trey a walk around the lake. He moved as quickly as his tired feet would carry him to the bathroom and began to wash up...

He didn't bother to dry his hair, it wasn't too cold out that he couldn't walk around with wet hair, so he left the bathroom with his hair still damp. He dug through his single suitcase and pulled out another plain, grey T shirt and threw on his black jean jacket. He made his way to the door and looked back to check on his instruments and sheet music, which was lying around, scattered across all of the tabletops of the hotel room, to make sure that they were safe. When he was certain that everything would be fine, he opened the door and left the room, making sure to hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign over the doorknob.

He made his way down the halls towards Trey's room, considering it wasn't too far from his anyway. He secretly hoped that his friend was already awake, as he hated to drag his friends from their dreams. Once he arrived he knocked on the door gently at first, just soft enough that no one would hear except for Trey on the other side of the door.

"Hey," Adam called, "If you still want to go for that walk, I'll meet you and Emil in the lobby."

Trey had never moved from the bathtub and woke up hung over the side, his headphones miraculously safe from the lukewarm water. In the legends, it said vampires slept in coffins. He supposed it wouldn't be too bad to try since a tub resembled a box more than a bed, but he liked this feeling of being surrounded by water.

Adam's voice didn't really wake him, but the vibrations of his knock reached and made him groan. Trey did not want to be awake. Without bothering to take off his headphones that were still playing away, he snapped out a response. "Ten minutes!" Then he closed his eyes and for five minutes more, proceeded to ignore the world. When he did move, he spent very little time getting ready. Torn jeans and a shirt, layered with two scarves and boots made up his outfit. He kept his headphones around his neck and the music playing low as he headed out of his room.

The other two weren't in the lobby yet. Adam probably went to get Emil, so Trey dropped onto a lobby chair, his legs tossed over the chair arm. Putting his headphones on again, he decided to wait.

When Emil's eyes opened, it took him a moment to realize that he had fallen asleep. He might not have awakened if the book he had been reading hadn't fallen from his lap and landed on the carpet with a soft thud.

Reaching up, his slender fingers curled around the cans of his headphones and he carefully slipped them off, the music still quite clear to his ears in the otherwise silent room. He got up and bent to retrieve his book, laying it on the tabletop before his eyes searched for a timepiece. He wondered how long ago he had fallen asleep but turned his feet in the direction of the bathroom nonetheless. He rubbed at the skin beneath his eyes with a yawn as he gathered a change of clothes and other necessities along the way.

Once he was done with his shower, he stepped out of the bathroom with a towel around his shoulders. He gave his hair a rough toweling before tossing the towel on top of the abandoned armchair and ran his hand though the strands languidly. After standing stock still for a minute or so, Emil snapped out of his reverie and stooped to pick up the sweater he had discarded yesterday, throwing it on on top of his loose black tank top, letting it slide off his shoulders once more. He perched on the bed to tuck his distressed grey jeans into his combat boots before stuffing a few items into his pockets and leaving the room, hanging up the 'do not disturb' sign.

Once outside his room, Emil seemed to perk up immediately, a pleasant smile sliding onto his lips as he looked up and down the hallway. Now where would he find his band-mates...

The walk down the hallway wasn't as long as Adam thought it would be. After hearing Trey yell out a response of, ten minutes he just assumed that Trey would probably be the first person to be in the lobby. After all, it would take a little more than ten minutes for Adam to walk all the way to Emil's room, meet with him, and then turn back to go down the stairs again to meet Trey in the lobby.

Adam, however, was glad when he saw Emil leaving his room. Adam was on the far end of the hallway and he sped up his pace to meet Emil before his friend walked away looking for him. He reached Emil rather quickly and began to slow down the closer he got to his friend.

"Glad you're awake." Adam stated, "I told Trey we'd meet him in the lobby." Adam slowly turned away from his friend, but before he started walking away he asked Emil, "Did you sleep well?" He began to walk, expecting Emil to accompany him to the lobby.

As he was about to set off, Emil caught sight of Adam heading for him and waited for the other male to reach him before turning his body and greeting him. It seemed they would be heading out for that walk first then tonight. While Emil trailed after Adam, he considered the question he was asked. Had he slept well? He hadn't actually expected to fall asleep...and he had woken up feeling even more tired then before he had gone to sleep...

"I think...sleeping in an armchair is very uncomfortable." Emil finally settled on an answer and gave it in an almost cheerful tone. He picked up his pace so that he was walking side by side with Adam and gave the hallway around them a cursory glance over. Most of the other patrons were either out for dinner or probably on their way to bed at this time.

"And you? Did you rest well?"

Trey very nearly fell asleep in the chair again as he waited. With his music on like this, he could almost pretend he was in his room and be able to relax. It wasn't quite true though. He felt a gaze every now and then and without turning, he knew it came from the receptionist. Trey probably wouldn't have survived it if not for his music. What was the girl's problem anyway? He didn't realize it was the same girl as yesterday though as he hadn't looked at her face then.

When Adam and Emil turned around the corner, side by side, Trey raised a hand to call them over. It wasn't really a wave or much of a signal. He was the only other person in the lobby after all. His arm simply said, 'get the hell over here now and take me away from this creepy receptionist lady.'

Adam shrugged in response to Emil's question. Truth was, he slept better than he did in a long time. When they rounded the corner he caught sight of Trey on the chair in the lobby. It was a little amusing to Adam when he saw They lazy way Trey raised his hand. Adam noticed that Trey looked tired, as though he were previously falling asleep where he sat.

Adam walked over to where Trey sat and stood beside the chair feeling a little awkward. He looked at Emil and spoke softly so that only Emil and Trey could hear.

"Lets get this walk out of the way..." He murmured. He cursed himself, knowing how incredibly insensitive it sounded, especially seeing as how Trey looked as though he were about to mentally step off the train to Awake and take a side trip to Dreamland. Adam gently grabbed Trey's arm and tried to help his friend get to his feet. The sooner they walked, the sooner they'd all feel better, Adam thought.

Emil gave the receptionist a cursory glance over, wondering why she kept eyeing them. She hadn't seemed to have had much of a reaction when they'd signed in or even when they'd come in last night. She was outright staring at them tonight...humans really were strange...

After considering asking her if something was the matter, Emil instead chose to walk to Trey's other side and to help Adam pull Trey to his feet, giving their youngest member a teasing smile. "Did you miss us that much Trey?" he asked in a joking manner. He released his grip on the other and slid his hands into his sweater pockets, motioning to the hotel doors with his head. "Let's get going then."

He turned on his heels and headed off, well aware of the human's eyes still following their every move. Very suspicious. She was acting like she was trying to memorize everything they did. Mm...perhaps Adam did have some sense in that paranoia from yesterday. Emil decided he'd have to be more aware of their surroundings during their walk that night.

Trey very nearly smiled when the other two walked up to him. When Adam and then Emil pulled on his arm, he slid out of the chair like water before catching himself at the last second and straightening. "Hmm," was all he said in response. Even if Adam sounded a little callous with what he said, it didn't phase Trey considering he often sounded like that himself. He didn't even notice such bluntness wasn't normal conversation.

Feeling more interesting in getting out of the lobby than anything else, he took off for the door immediately. Before he reached the door though, he turned to walk backward, looking at Emil. "Miss you?" he asked in confusion. "I don't get it." Not that he didn't enjoy seeing them again and maybe he felt a little relaxed in their presence and a dozen other things that made him turn an unusual shade of pink at having it pointed out. But he wouldn't say he missed them. Trey shook his head once they were outside.

"She kept staring."

Adam was always on edge, but having felt the eyes of the receptionist just about tipped him over. He instinctively hovered over his friends as they left the hotel and stepped outside. Once they were outside he got even closer to his friends, knowing that to the average passerby it probably looked like a man enjoying his friends' company. Enjoying their company was something Adam often did, but right now his mind was overridden with hyperviligilance that screamed, 'Protect band. Protect band.'

His first thoughts were to leave town. Just pack everything up and go. He'd rather them leave sooner than planned than to stick around and possibly be hurt. He couldn't tell his band members how much their presence meant to him, how much it would hurt him to see them get hurt, or worse, be killed. Adam thought about what Trey had said, the receptionist kept staring.

Adam's eyes darted from place to place, scanning their environment for possible threats, any strange smells, suspicious people, objects that weren't supposed to be there... He looked for cameras, cars, mysterious people... Anything. The more he searched for danger, the more agitated he got and ultimately the closer he ended up walking with his friends. It took a great amount of effort for him not to reach out and pull his friends closer to himself and walk with them securely in his arms... He knew they wouldn't appreciate that, so he settled for walking as close to them as he could without him stepping on their feet or tripping them up.

He looked over his shoulder at the hotel they'd just left. "We should be careful." Adam said. He wanted to speak what his mind was screaming, 'Danger! Leave now!' But he fought against it. He didn't want to scare his friends, he only wanted to see them safe. He brushed his hair behind his ear, trying his best to calm himself, but he was still feeling very hypervigilant and continued to scan the area for possible signs of danger.

Yea...it seemed that the receptionist's actions had only served to make Adam instantly on alert once more. Emil kept glancing down to their feet as they walked, silently watching as Adam began inching closer and closer to him and Trey. He was trying to be mindful of their personal space...well Emil was in a somewhat pleasant mood, so he didn't much mind. He reached out and slung an arm around Adam like he had the night before. He considered pulling Trey in as well, but figured that the other vampire would not take too kindly to being pulled bodily into Emil again.

"Perhaps she's wondering if we'll be late coming back tonight as well." Emil commented to Trey's words before lifting his shoulders and dropping them in a half-hearted shrugging motion. "Don't overdo it Adam." Emil said in a softer voice. "You'll only end up attracting more attention with the way you keep looking around, act more casual about it...we'll be careful."

Emil couldn't promise that they would be able to avoid detection completely, but they weren't newborns and they'd been at this for a while now. All of them understood the risks they faced when they decided to try to integrate into human society like they had.

He raised a hand and dropped it on top of Adam's head, ruffling his hair, "Trust us a little more."

Watching the other two get more and more paranoid, he had a strange reaction. Without thinking much, he slipped a hand into Adam's. "I am careful," he said in a quiet voice. It wasn't much, just a small gesture. Emil seemed to be thinking along the same lines because he also reached out to comfort Adam. They were all there for each other.

Trey nodded his head slightly and pulled at his scarf with his free hand. He'd noticed the way Emil nearly grabbed hold of him as well. Because of this strange mood (maybe he was still half asleep?), Trey bumped against Emil as if to ask for him to be close. He decided not to initiate any further contact with his bandmate, but he seemed to be saying he would be okay with it. "We're just going on a walk," he said as if it were the most stunning thing in the world. And it kind of was. What was there to be paranoid about? Right now, they really were just on a walk.

It was comforting to Adam to feel Trey's hand slide into his. Without much thought, Adam immediately squeezed Trey's hand tightly for a couple of seconds. It would probably be the closest Adam would ever get to showing his appreciation for his friends.

When Emil threw his arm around Adam, he found himself relaxing a little. Though, it still didn't take him from the edgy feeling he was getting from the whole situation. Adam sucked in a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying his best to remain calm for the sake of his friends.

Adam leaned into Emil's touch and continued to try his best to even out his breathing. "Just a walk..." He said, slowly taking in what Trey said. "Of course." Adam's brain couldn't help but think, the sooner they finished their walk, the better. He did his best to keep his mind from wandering too much, after all, this was supposed to be a relaxing walk. No pressure, no fear. Just Adam and his band, walking...

Adam nodded at his own inner dialogue, knowing he probably looked goofy to his friends, but as he continued to talk to himself, he felt himself loosen up more. However, no matter how much Adam tried talking to himself, how much he wanted to listen to his friends, he still couldn't shake the ominous feeling growing in the pit of his stomach. He had to settle for feeling slightly less anxious instead of feeling like he would lash out at anything suspicious at any given time.

As they approached the lake, Adam felt his heartbeat, ever so slowly, slow down its rate and he felt a little calmer walking alongside his friends.

- - -

Berit wasn't expecting the phone call. In fact, she was ready to just give up on the case entirely, she couldn't seem to find enough evidence that pointed to anyone in particular and she was starting to think that maybe the murderer(s) weren't involved with the band at all. Maybe they were just some crazy fans who got jealous of the people the band invited backstage? Who knew? But Berit was getting tired of running around in circles trying to find the band so she could at least get some of her questioning out of the way.

The phone call from the hotel was surprising, but when the receptionist called to say that the band just left, she knew that could only mean one thing... The band would return and there was her chance to actually meet them face to face and either bring them in for questioning or simply ask her questions there.

The investigation seemed to be actually moving along now and she was so grateful that there was finally an opportunity to get information to close this case. She was tired of staying up late, waiting for them to come to the usual spots where the popular bands that visited this city came. Apparently, she wasn't dealing with a usual band.

"Thank you for your call." She said to the reception on the other end of the line. "I'll be there shortly." Then she hung up the phone, grabbed her coat from where it hung on the wall in her office and made her way out of the police station.

She hopped into her car and headed down to the hotel as quickly as she could, on the way, noticing a trio of three men walking down the sidewalk. She didn't think much of them when she saw them, they looked ordinary to her, so she didn't even give them much of a second glance and continued to speed off towards the hotel.

Emil's free hand immediately went up to ruffle Trey's hair and he grinned cheerfully, humming softly as they neared the lake. It was a nice area, a pocket of nature in the middle of the city. It almost reminded Emil of his past, back when industrialization hadn't even begun yet. He missed the sereneness of the past, though he had to admit that there were some inventions of the present that were very convenient.

Perhaps their nonstop tour schedule had been wearing away at Adam and it probably wasn't doing much for the rest of their minds either. Vampire or not, it was still an exhausting schedule to keep. Perhaps after their next show they could take some time off, maybe go overseas again...to some remote island where they wouldn't have to worry about humans. It would be good to relax... He'd have to remember to ask later, he could begin preparations immediately if the others were alright with the plan.

Emil slowly pulled away from his band mates and walked to the edge of the water, crouching down and peered into the water, the faint light from the moon enough to allow him to see the life swimming in the waters. He laughed softly, "Look guys, there are some cute fish living here."

Trey felt glad that Adam calmed down some and since that thought fore-fronted his mind, he remained calm about the closeness the three of them shared. He himself held none of the paranoia that seemed to plague the other man. Once free of the receptionist's gaze, all of Trey's worry vanished. He hummed a little as they walked. Since his headphones still played, but as a volume that only very sharp ears would pick up, he followed that melody until they came to the lake.

From the first glance at the place, Trey stopped paying attention to anything and anyone else. Dropping Adam's hand, he simply wandered toward the water and stared down at it. He liked green things and stories of magic that came from nature, so similar to the tales he once heard as a child. Though he only half heard what Emil said, he hummed in affirmative before he started kicking off his shoes and toed his way into the lake.

Adam stood back as he watched his band mates approach the lake. He didn't want to get close to the water and preferred to just sit back and watch them as they enjoyed themselves. It wasn't often where they were able to relax in a pressure-free environment. He took a quick scan of the area with his eyes, still on high alert, once he was certain they were safe, he calmed himself a little. He lowered himself to sit on the grass beside the lake and settled for watching his friends near the water.

Adam tried to smile as he heard Emil's comment about the cute fish. Adam started to feel a little bad, this was a pleasant moment, a time for he and his band to relax, enjoy each other's company and all he could think about was his friends being hurt. He let out another long sigh and his smile faded. It was hard for him to let go of his paranoia, after all, that's what has kept him alive for so many years. He hadn't realized just how much it grew over the passed few days. Normally, he'd only get anxious like this before they'd feed and afterwards he'd be alright. It was unusual for him to be so scared and it worried him that he couldn't figure out what was going on... It also worried him that he may be making his friends uncomfortable.

He looked at them longingly, wishing he could enjoy himself as well instead of being so wrapped up in fear that he couldn't let it go. He scooted away from them a little ways and kept glancing over his shoulder and around the lake, still on the lookout for possible dangers.

"How long do you both plan to stay out here?" He asked, not really paying much attention to what he was saying. It was his anxiety talking.

Emil had dipped his fingers into the water and were swirling them around, watching the fish dart away from the motion. He was considering following Trey's example when Adam spoke again and he turned his head to look over his shoulder at the other. Perhaps that break would need to come sooner. Adam really was much more on edge than Emil had realized.

"We've only just got here. Spending a few minutes or so wouldn't be too bad would it?"

As far as he could tell, Emil didn't think there were any humans that were too close to them, this spot seemed to be rather isolated, and considering how late it was, he doubted very many people were out and about like they were to wander around a lake. That was one thing he couldn't relate to well about humans...they always seemed to be rushing from one point to another. He always felt like amidst all that hustle and bustle...he was just standing still.

"Ten minutes max I guess, we can cut it short if you feel it's necessary."

Up to mid calf in the water, Trey paid no attention to the bottom his pants that got wet. The fish darted away from him, but when he held still, they started to come back and he smiled at the feeling of little slippery bodies brushing against his legs. For a second, he smiled at Emil who seemed to also find the fish interesting. They were very interesting fish, but the way Adam ignored them and the water made Trey frown again. What could he do to make his friend smile again? He hadn't seen Adam smile in a relaxed way in quite some time.

In the strange way that Trey had, he decided exactly how he should make Adam happy. He bent down and held his hands in the water, very careful. It took both speed and gentleness, but he captured a small fish in the first try. With the thing twisting in his hands, he walked back out of the water and deposited the fish in Adam's hands. "Aren't they nice fish?" he asked like an innocent child, though he wasn't either. If Adam didn't want to come to the water, then Trey would just have to bring it to him.

Ten minutes. Adam nodded slowly as he took in what Emil had said. He hated being the one who always rained on his friends' parade, but he couldn't explain to him how much they meant to him, whenever he tried the words just wouldn't seem to come out. Adam shifted a little where he sat on the grass and continued to watch his friends.

He started to zone out a little bit, his eyes not focusing on anything for a while as his mind vacated the area, at least, for a little while until he heard Trey approaching. Adam straightened himself quickly back to being on high alert and he was surprised when all that ended up happening was that Trey had dropped a little, squirmy fish into his hands.

Adam looked down at the little fish that flopped around in his hand. He knew what Trey was trying to do... And it was working. Adam nodded as a response to Trey's query and he slowly got to his feet, kicking off his shoes lazily and approaching the water, not really caring if his jeans got wet. He stepped into the water, not too deep, however, just enough that his ankles and the very bottom legs of his pants got wet and Adam lowered the fish in his hands and released it back into the water where it took off swimming away from him.

Adam stared at the water for a couple of seconds, then back at Trey before he suddenly reached out and pulled Trey into a warm embrace. He knew Trey would hate it, but he couldn't think of a better way to show how much he appreciated his band mate's method of getting him to relax. "I'm sorry I'm so stiff." Adam said. "This whole tour, you know... I love music, but all of the traveling is starting to take a toll on me, I guess."
