Nate smiled as Kaled turned and left, shutting the door behind him. He was alone now. He slumped onto the bed, smile melting as he let out a long groaning sigh. He eventually leaned over and switched on the lamp, sliding his bag over to him and setting it in his lap just after. He opened it and, without even looking, reached in and fished out his camera.

He stared at it for a few second before finally popping open the view screen and turning the thing on. It booted up, the screen flashing to life and giving him a view of the floor. He began to flash through the options mindlessly, debating if he should playback last night's footage or just wait until he got home to his laptop.

With a shrug he hit the record button and turned to the bedside table, placing it gently just under the lamp, moving and positioning it so that had a view of his legs and the door. It was kind of unfortunate that he couldn't get his head or the window in the shot, but he'd have to just deal with that and soldier on. The door was his safest option anyway.

After his camera was all set up and he was sure it was recording he stood, removing his shirt and placing it in his bag. He did the same with his pants, leaving him in just his boxers. He was not going to be sleeping in his clothes. He had to wear those tomorrow and he wasn't going to sweat in them tonight. He absently went to the door, checking for a lock. If there was one he'd flip it, locking the door. If not he'd leave the door be.

Either way he made his way back to the bed and, bag pushed off and on the floor, flipped the covers and slipped into, resting his head on the pillow and staring up at the ceiling. First night in about 9 months without pills. This was going to be a good night. Turning onto his side he flipped the lamp off, bathing the room in darkness and the electric blue-gray glow of his camera's view screen. Nate closed his eyes and tried to get as much sleep as he could.

Audrey was growing impatient, watching as another woman approached the one in the angel costume, the one who's scent she knew. They seemed to know each other and it didn't look like the other was willing to leave the angel girl alone anytime soon. With a grunt she started to move forward, her patience run thin. She'd get what she needed now or never.

She didn't even get close. There was the sound of someone screaming and the pungent smell of fresh blood. She turned, watching as a woman cam running hysterical into the yard, blood all over her. The werewolf blinked as the amulet-girl grabbed her, trying to calm her. Audrey's lips curled as the woman screeched the name of her attackers, of the people who had attacked her. Vampires.

Then there was one of the dead bats on the awning, a disgusting grin on its face before it had slipped down to stand in front of the door. Audrey bristled, barely registering when the guests began to scream and run. There must have been another interloper inside. Maybe this party was just one big ruse to lure humans in for a quick meal. She wouldn't doubt it. Her own pack had done it plenty of times.

She could already feel her bones starting to creak, instinct and rage telling her to shift and attack to rend and to kill. Her lips curled and a snarl escaped her throat, fur already starting to sprout from her neck and arms, her bones creaking and starting to snap. She didn't even notice when her goal grabbed the other girl and ran.

Onyx cringed at the scream. It was to loud for her liking. This party was seriously giving Onyx a huge headache. And when Onyx got a headache, you better watch out. She gets into a mood of if she has to slap a bitch, than she will. No need of an explanation or anything. That's just how cranky she would get if this headache were to continue.

Allison came out of the woods, obviously trying to pull a prank. Onyx had talked to her a few times while getting checked out at the grocery store, but nothing to intense. Right then, Allison began to say something about how a vampire had made her look how she does now. Her pretty blonde hair in a mess on her head, and her green dress splattered in what must have been ketchup or fake blood. It was to dark for Onyx to see properly. Onyx shook her head. "You aren't being funny Allison." Onyx snapped. This wasnt funny to her at all. It actually kind of scared Onyx to an extreme level. Then that's when Becca said those few words that made her practically tremble. Onyx slowly raised her hand to touch the wound. As soon as she did, fresh blood gushed onto Onyx's trembling hand. This was real. Not the fake crap you see in horror movies, but real.

Onyx was practically oblivious to everything else until she heard Becca say run. Dazed and confused she followed Becca, stumbling here and there. About maybe a couple of yards into the run, Onyx suddenly remembered something. "Becca." Onyx said quietly. She repeated her best friends name again except loud enough for her to hear this time. "The book. The book you gave me. I had it in my purse from earlier, an it's in the house. We have to go back and get it. I need it." Onyx didn't know why, but she felt a strange, yet powerful, connection to the book. Like she needed it to be strong. Whether Becca wanted to or not, Onyx needed that book. And she was going to get it back.

(I thought it might make it slightly more dramatic if Onyx had to go back and get the book c; I'll edit my post of Becca and Onyx leaving and mention the purse!)

Varten was having a great time. Dancing and spinning with his partner. He noticed a few quick moves from the blonde and then the pouch on his belt moved differently. It became obvious that Kasimir was a thief. The red head started to wonder if that was the only reason he was the German's attention. He must have made him a mark.

Just as suddenly as he came to realize this, Varten sensed something off. There was screaming instead of just loud talking. People were running to the door. Varten stopped moving next to Kasimir and focused his attention. It had went from being a chaotic party to being pure chaotic terror. He smelled blood and fear in the air.

Carla had been outside when the others appeared. First the bloodied woman - and oh how hard she had to restrain herself then, the siren song of the life flowing out of the girls body, the nectar that she craved so much. But Becca was standing with the wounded tinkerbell and still smelled so much better, so much more like she would taste better than the most delicious food she had eaten in her mortal life. It was her she would feed on tonight - or, at least, for as long as she could hold out. If more injuries happened she may lose herself in her bloodlust.

Another Vampire had appeared between the exit where so many were pouring out of and the three - no, make that two - women. It was not the same as the one she had passed inside. This brother had blood splattered around his mouth, dripping down his chin, likely from the woman Allison from before. She scrunched her nose up a little bit at the mess, wondering if that's what she looked like after a feeding. Carla hoped not. Hygiene was still important to her and she didn't want to be walking around like a human - well, not so human - paintbrush, dripping red all over herself and whatever she came into contact with.

The Vampire spoke, a twisted little smile on his face. However it was spoken too quietly for human ears to interpret; obviously it was meant for his comrades, his own coven. Being one of the greater kind, however, meant that she had overheard it as well. And she didn't understand what it meant.

Found her. What does he mean, found her? If he's thinking of snatching this one away from me he's got another thing coming, brother or no brother!

Becca had in the meantime managed to slip into the panicking horde that was heading towards the old wood, conveniently hiding her scent amongst the fear and alcohol and sweat. She would have to be tracked the old-fashioned way - or, thought Carla, finding her sister in the fray, follow the bloodhound.

~*~

No no no! This wasn't supposed to happen! Goddamned vampires just coming in and ruining everything!

Carmen had been making her move towards the door when the screaming had started, terrified partygoers stumbling in every direction including that of the door. Some crashed into the kitchen, others divied behind assorted pieces of furniture while the rest seemed to either delve further into the house or pour out into the night air. There had been another leech inside - she must've thought that it was her sister, but that was if she had ever caught a whiff of it. Too many scents to process at the time so her nose had essentially shut itself down. While the undead was occupied with the others of the herd she made a mad dash for the exit. Becca was outside, her prize, and there was no way she'd let a grubby vampire steal her snack away from her. This was supposed to be between her sister and herself, no others.

But first she had to extricate herself from from the mob - it wouldn't do to get caught under a human's fat blubber or get led into a mass trap, like buffalo being tricked into running off a cliff for the natives to eat easily. The risks of leaving the shield of the crowd didn't outweigh the risks of staying so Carmen pushed people aside, uncaring as to whether or not they fell to the ground or just kept running.

She could feel herself beginning to shift, the terror in the air, the fear, the screams, the raised heartbeat calling out to her inner beast. Any other time, if it were just a general hunt where anyone was fair game, she would have embraced it, spurred it along even. But when there was a specific person - well, having the 'wolf in control would make things a little harder when everywhere screamed of prey. Fingers had elongated slightly, her nails sharpening to curved talons, while her teeth lengthened and changed into that of a true lupus. Her ears became pointed and with her drastically improved eyesight it was likely that her eyes had begun to change as well.

This had to stop - it hurt to shift fully, and it hurt to stop mid-turning, but during the transformation she was vulnerable to attack. Holding her breath she forced her change to pause, leaving her with barely the characteristics of a wolf. It pained her - every nerve sung out in protest, her body wanting to reject this half-human-half-wolf state. But it couldn't be helped.

There! In the distance by the trees, a flash of blonde hair and a white outfit. It was as good a lead as any. With her mind fully focused on the hunt in mind she sprung forward, speed drastically increased. Being so preoccupied, however, led to Carmen missing out on the growling that broke out beside her, of the vampire so close by. She sped away from both, neither have crossing her consciousness.

That may turn out to be a mistake she would regret making, should events not twist in her favour this evening.

Kaled had, after ensuring that his guest for the evening had settled in for the night, had made his way back downstairs. There was something wrong and he wasn't able to pinpoint what it was. It was bothering him, pricking his skin with tiny needles of agitation. He always knew what was wrong should it be in the vicinity of the church - but, perhaps, it was far enough away to only be on the border of his constant bubble of power surrounding the church.

He made his way to the front door, unlocking it and peering out into the darkness. Around him shadows licked at his feet, trying to draw him away from his door so that they could play. Tightly he gripped the doorway. Something was happening beyond the wood ahead of him, something gruesome and bloody and yet still so vague that it was beginning to annoy him. But Kaled knew better than to step out into the darkness without being prepared, and he was not in the mood to play dark games in the nighttime.

Something's coming.

If it were a vampire or werewolf they would never be able to get past his warding, not without a considerably strong witch or warlock with them, and he had yet to find another who could break the skillful weave of his magic. For any other the supernatural race that tried to enter the area around the church it would be as if they had run headfirst into a physical wall with no way under, over, or through via brute force.

But Kaled would be prepared. The next hour or so would be a deciding factor as to what would appear within the reach of his magic and within the sight of his fortress. Only time now could show him just what he would truly be preparing for.

He closed the door, turning the lock, though he remained standing by the window whose curtains had been pulled back. While he may sense them first, he wanted to see just what he'd be dealing with that evening.

So long as the boy stays in his room all will be well. That way there will be no need for explanations.

Alistair nodded his farewell when Onyx left to go find her friend. For the most part he was somewhat relieved when she left. Only because of the lingering bit of scent the angel had left upon her friend. Now it was gone, and he could think a bit clearer. Though there didn't seem to be much time for his head to clear though. A scream echoed from outside. Of course no one heard that, and then other things were happening so quickly. Vampires. Alistair growled, but his priority was Kasimir's safety, and perhaps even the redhead vampire that Kas seemed so taken with.

Quickly he was moving through people, slipping past them as they panicked, making his way towards his friend. Grey-blue eyes darting this way and that, on high alert. Of course, he was suspicious of Varten. Had the red head set up such an ambush? Did he belong to a clan? The was emptying rather quickly, making it easier to get to Kasimir. "Kasimir, get away from him." There was evident distrust in Alistair as he came to stop next to Kasimir, and his eyes landed on Varten.

Of course a vampire would notice those feather light, quick thieving fingers. A human wouldn't unless they were extremely observant and drunken ones definitely wouldn't notice, but Kasimir didn't notice that Varten noticed. When Varten stopped moving, Kasimir stopped as well. His green eyes were quick to pick up something was wrong, just by the vampire's features. Then everyone around him began to panic. Then Alistair was there, and ordering him away from Varten. Kasimir's brow furrowed as his green eyes studied Alistair's face, that expression making it clear what Alistair thought even if he didn't voice his opinion.

That was fine, Kasimir would voice it for him as his gaze shifted to Varten. "An ambush? Vamps?" Those green eyes jumped back to Alistair to catch the minute nod, then his gaze settled back on Varten. Watching that face carefully. Kasimir didn't think Varten had set up an ambush, and he shook his head slightly. "He's too sweet to ambush us, Hiro." He reached out and took Varten's hand, giving it a slight tug. "We could slip out the backdoor. Hiro can take care of the intruders, he's very capable." He glanced at Alistair, giving the vampire a wink.

Alistair gave Kasimir an annoyed look, but he knew the German had no intention of leaving Varten any time soon. No, Kas was genuinely infatuated with the red head. Alistair could tell by the way he blindly trusted that Varten hadn't set up an ambush. Poor Kasimir, if he knew vampires better he would know not to trust them. When Kasimir winked at him, Alistair began moving. Heading towards the nearest intruding vampire to take him down quickly and efficiently.

Varten began protest, "Of course it wasn't me!" He couldn't believe that he was thought suspect. But then that was to be expected. But then Kasimir did something that he could not believe, he stood up to his friend for him. Called him sweet too. It was more then he could have expected.

Just before Kasimir could lead him out the back door, Varten cried, "Cheshire! I have to get my cat!" Tears started to spill down his face. He couldn't stand the thought of his poor cat being alone with raiding vampires around. Please lord Kasimir! I need to protect my Chesire!

Audrey had been unable to stop herself. Her skin had split, her stolen costume shredded and hanging from her limbs in torn strands as he bones bent and snapped into new forms. Her snarl had escalated into a roar of rage as she lunged, slamming her full weight into one of the undead bloodsuckers that had made the mistake and chasing someone out into the yard.

Her teeth, already elongated into canines and setting in a half formed muzzle, connected with the bat's shoulder. It had not seen her. It was still young. It let out a screech, starting to scratch and claw at the half-formed wolf latched to its upper torso. It was silenced by her claws driving through its skull and filling the air with a sickening crack as her head and limb pulled in two different directions.

Its head came off in a jagged chunk, bone hanging from muscle as blood spilled out of severed veins. She tossed her head, the corpse slamming against the wall of the house with a thunk. Fur covered most of her body now, her bones still creaking and snapping. The bat's head was still held in her claws and, with little regard for how many they outnumbered her and caught within the excitement the night had given her, she lifted her head and howled to the sky.

Cheshire was scared. He had felt unwelcome presences in his vampire's house. His house. He grew more afraid for his vampire as the screams grew louder. He needed to get out. He was trapped.

Varten could feel the fear from Cheshire. It meant only one thing, the poor cat was beyond afraid. The only thing that would console him would be if Varten were to save him from the closet. That and the red head was worried for his house. He could temporarially claim the house to Kasimir and that should make the other vampires retreat. However that meant that Alistair and himself would have to be thrown out too. And with the spell that was on Cheshire-- He didn't think the poor thing would be doing so well if he was thrust repeatedly into the closet wall.

Alistair had made short work of an invading vampire, grabbing it by the throat and basically ripping it's head off. The corpse and head both were thrown out of the house, and Alistair rounded towards another target.

Kasimir frowned deeply, his brow furrowing. If this were a human's home, the vampires would never have been allowed in. And even if allowed in, the invitation could have been rescinded and they would all have been kicked out. He gave Varten's hand another slight tug, the vampire was worried for his cat, but surely the feline would be safe in his closet? Maybe not. There were probably werewolves wandering about as well. Kasimir looked in the direction of the cat's closet, thinking, it was foolish of him though. He was thinking darting off and rescuing the cat, to impress Varten. However, Varten had a much better chance of rescuing the cat than Kasimir did.

Well then, they would go rescue the adorable cat together then. Kasimir moved, taking a few steps towards the direction of the closet and tugged at Varten's hand. "We'll just go save the kitten together, then." There was no hesitation in the human as he moved, tugging the other's hand to get him started as well. It wasn't the first time Kasimir had braved vicious vampires and it most certainly wouldn't be the last considering the company he usually kept.

Varten let himself be led for the first few steps and then turned things around as he led Kasimir the rest of the way. By the time they made it to the foyer he smelled a werewolf had passed through. And the wind was blowing another's scent into the house. He looked on in horror at the damage that they had done. And now people would most assuredly be talking.

Once they got to the door, Varten heard Ches loudly calling out to him. He couldn't let his cat be hurt, especially since there were werewolves on this side of the house. As he tried to open the door, Varten found the lock to be broken and him not knowing how to pick it. Quickly turning to Kasimir he implored, "Please? The lock?" He hoped that the thief did not question how he knew, and had his lock picks on him.

Kasimir allowed Varten to lead him the rest of the way, and he watched as the other tried to open the door. Apparently the locking mechanism had been broken. The German made a slight noise of annoyance, and only annoyance showed in his green eyes. No fear in them, it took a lot to frighten Kasimir and frankly being ambushed by vampires and werewolves wasn't quite on the top of that list, yet. When the other looked at him and said those words, Kas raised a brow at him, a look of innocence passing across his features mostly from sheer habit, then it was gone.

There was no time to protest, or make excuses. He was what he was and he was always prepared to get into locked doors, or windows, or boxes, or anything with a lock really. His hands dipped into that pouch on his belt for a moment before coming back with to thin, long pieces of metal. Kasimir wasted no time, kneeling in front of the door, and pushing the pieces of metal into the keyhole. A look of pure concentration on his face and in his eyes as he worked. Kasimir was good at what he did. Very good, but with a broken lock it would still take almost a minute to get the mechanism to move where he wanted it to go. Finally, a satisfying click was heard, and a soft sound of triumph followed from the German's lips. Then he was standing to the side, replacing his tools and watching Varten expectantly.

Kasimir was leaning on the wall very casually, despite all the chaos around them. Confident that Alistair would clear the area of any hostiles. "I've never met a lock I couldn't pick." The words were spoken casually, though perhaps with a hint of pride. Maybe he was trying to impress Varten with such a declaration.

They were running, or more walking quickly now that they were in the forest and unable to see well. Others were there, too, but they were quickly scattering. Onyx said something to Becca, but she was moving so quickly that by the time she turned to listen to her friend, the girl was already departing. Something about a book, the house and going back.

Becca was so shocked and confused that she wasn't paying attention and tripped. She fell into fall leaves that covered the forest ground, providing some cushion for the fall. Though she landed on her belly and had tried to catch herself with her hands, she knew she'd received few scrapes, if any at all.

She pushed herself up to a sitting position and turned quickly. "Onyx!" she shouted. But her friend was long gone. Damnit Onyx! she thought angrily, wanting to scream it but being afraid to make any more noise than she already had. Becca pushed herself off the ground and back onto her high heels, rubbing her hands together to clean them off. Then she stood there for a moment, holding her breath, listening.

There were others, she could hear them fleeing, yelling to each other to run. A howl, too near, erupted through the forest and it terrified Becca. She was frozen where she stood. She wanted to follow her best friend, but she also wanted to run away, though her body wouldn't allow her to do either.

Her heart was racing. Her own senses were heightened in fear and her eyes darted around, looking for Onyx as if the girl would reappear. She wished she'd just reappear. Then she did. Just ahead, in the direction of the house, Becca could make out the figure there. It was Onyx, she was sure of it. The right height, the right body size, the cheerleader outfit, and she was carrying the book. Though that shouldn't have made sense. Onyx hadn't been gone long enough.

"Oh Onyx!" Becca nearly screamed in joyous relief. Onyx was moving to meet her, quickly. Too quickly. "Onyx I thought you were going t-...", Becca had moved to meet her friend halfway, but now she stopped. Since when did Onyx move like that? "Onyx?" Becca asked fearfully.

The figure began changing shape, it became immediately clear that Becca's mind had only been playing tricks on her. Perhaps it had been the forest playing tricks on her. Either way, it wasn't Onyx at all. Someone else, something else. Becca's feet moved now. She turned away from it, and ran.

She was gasping in breaths of air, trying not to cry. Trying not to cry for Onyx, or for herself. Hopefully Onyx would make it. That the house had been abandoned. Becca looked over her shoulder. She on the other hand, wouldn't be so fortunate. The thing was gaining on her. While it could have had her already, the creature was playing, enjoying the game of the chase.

The thought made hot tears well up in Becca's eyes. How could any of this be? It wasn't possible! Surely she would wake up in the morning and this would all have been a terrible dream, that someone drugged her drink and this was just some awful trip. She continued running towards the church, branches tore at her dress and flesh, but she didn't notice. She was so close, nearly there... Would it allow her to make it there? To the house of God? Would He spare her tonight?

Onyx began sprinting as hard and as fast as she could, her four years of track in High School were paying off well at this exact moment. And that's all she needed. Coming near te house, she saw a horrifying scene of bodies everywhere. Onyx would probably never sleep again. To avoid the scene, Onyx began to make her way slowly and quietly down the side of the house. As she rounded the corner, she hit her head on a metal frame and almost screamed out in pain. She quickly but down on her bottom lip as to stay quiet.

Nearing the back door, as quietly made her way in. Onyx was trying to think as to where her purse might be. That book was all she needed out of it really. She rounded the corner into the kitchen, and there was her purse in the counter! Onyx was in luck. She grabbed her purse and began sprinting out back towards the woods where Becca had been. Onyx came to a slow stop as she ended up where Becca was supposed to be. But she was gone. That's when Onyx heard a twig snap just behind her and went into full fight or flight mode. This time, it was flight. She knew there was a church and began sprinting there. Whatever was behind her following. About five minutes of sprinting, Onyx came to the church and ripped the hate open and ran to the door pounding on it, hoping someone was there.

Carmen was grinning wolfishly and the pun was not lost on her. Lips pulled tight across sharp teeth that were glistening white with the moon. Becca. She found her in the commotion, the stench of fear and tears and sweat doing nothing to hide the girls scent. That beautiful smell that had drool coursing down from her mouth, thick globules that collected in the hollow of her throat. She howled in response to another's call - that didn't worry her as much as it should have.

As long as they stay away, it's fine.

Her wolf was screaming hunt, making the thought permeate her mind until it filled it entirely.

In her half-formed state she couldn't run on all fours - but she was faster than just about all humans. This would be easy. Too easy. She'd be able to parade around her sister, blood staining her skin like the pride that would course through her step as she got one up on her kin. Carla would be furious, eyes dilated and teeth lengthened visibly as she smelled what she wanted but now couldn't have.

That'll be the best part.

~*~

Something appeared at the edge of his bubble, a presence not unlike himself. And with it he could feel the pulse of old magic, the heartbeat of a knowledge he had yet to obtain. It was powerful enough that he could sense it without clear visual contact, and that was enough to nearly get him drooling. Instead Kaled closed the curtain and waited, tracking the unusual pair as they neared the entrance of his property.

He heard them rip open the gate and pound up the steps to slam their hand on his door, repeatedly and incessantly.

It seems as though this is the night that my door is to be abused by strangers.

Slowly he undid the lock, arranging his face to seem tired and hesitant as well as welcoming. It was a woman, dark haired, carrying a bag. It was her purse that he could feel the strong pull of the unknown. Whatever the source was it had to be nearly ancient, perhaps from the time of the Salem hunts.

Perhaps a grimoire. New spells to add to his repertoire - something that would be far better off in his hands rather than that of this beginner witch. She wouldn't be able to appreciate just what was currently in her possession, wouldn't be able to use it to it's full potential. Yes, it would be better off in his hands.

But, thought Kaled, how do I spirit it away from her?

"It's alright, it's alright. You're safe now; please, come in."

He opened the door wider, allowing light to pour out onto the porch, beckoning the woman inside. Kaled hoped that she would come inside - it was times like these that he revelled in being a priest. No one suspects a Father; no one suspects one of the Almighty's flock. Biting down on the edge of his tongue was the only thing that kept him from smirking.

Perhaps Mother was right. I do need to keep my emotions in check.

~*~

Ah. The pup has picked up the scent. Finally she's useful for something - yes, that's it, lead me straight to her. Idiot.

Carla smirked, following just a few paces behind her sister, cringing only when her twin howled like a rabid beast. Another fault of the wolfkind was their beast-like tendencies. No elegance whatsoever, all they did was howl and chase and tear like a wild animal. They needed to be contained - perhaps domesticated as a house pet. That sent a smile rushing across her face and a giggle pouring out of her throat as the image of her sister performing tricks like a common mutt passed through her mind.

It seems fitting.

However her sister was getting far too close to the woman than she liked. She wasn't about to forfeit the prize to her if there was something to be done about it. Her mind quickly raced through multiple scenarios, ways she could remove Carmen from the picture. Her grin widened as she settled on one that sent glee tingling throughout her body.

Reaching out Carla tugged hard on her sisters ponytail, sending her deformed body spiralling to the ground. It landed with a satisfying thud and now she was free to catch up to the woman - or so she thought.

~*~

The world twisted around her, colours blurring into one block as she passed through the air. It was but a split second before she hit the ground, bones aching as they were shoved into the packed earth.

What..?

A sickly sweet scent began to pass her - a vampire, a walking corpse was about to take her hunt for her, about to sweep in and take her kill after she had found and tracked it in the chaos. No. No, this wouldn't do. It was hers to take and maim and feed upon, not this abomination of living dead flesh.

Carmen stretched for the ankle of the person who had the gall to send her flying, using her leg to trip the perpetrator. Who dared to think they could steal from her and get away without consequences? A red curtain descended in front of her eyes, a thick velvet that let nothing through but rage. Limbs began to snap into place - faster than she was used to, and streaks of black stained the curtain with pain. But she had pinned the other's legs.

They were about to find out the meaning of the word 'Agony.'

There had been movement at the side of the house, catching Audrey's attention. Her nostrils flared as she sniffed and huffed, making her way slowly toward the side of the house, falling to all fours and walking a tad awkwardly. Her bones were still shifting, cracking slightly as her appearance became much more canine.

Her fur was soaked through, blood slipping off and matting into her fur. She had torn apart anything she could get her teeth around, man or bat she didn't care. All she had known was the blood lust and need for violence.

Then there was a flash of movement, the sound of someone running. She let out a barking howl, kicking off the ground and moving after her. The woman had a head start, already in the trees and much farther ahead. The wolf hadn't even seen what it was chasing.

She skidded to a stop at the edge of the trees, snuffling at the ground before lifting her head, staring off into the twisting darkness beyond. Her lips curled and she took a few steps back, ears flat against her skull. No. This place smelled wrong. The woods stank of something dark and unnatural and she was hesitant to enter.

There was movement, chasing distant figures. It was twisted whatever it was, abnormal and moving in the strange facade of a human. Even with it's twisted visage she could tell it was taking its time. Playing. She turned and ran, unwilling to enter such a place even for her prey. She would not be caught in such a place, not even if her very life depended on entering.

Audrey made her way back to the soiled house, sniffing about as she padded her way up the porch steps, claws clicking against viscera stained wood. Her body had twisted fully now, a large wolf making its way into the house, searching and sniffing for anything worth her time. While she would search for the amulet scent again she was mostly interested in finding her jacket, make sure it hadn't been ruined. It would definitely ruin a night gone south.

((I'm going to send Becca in the direction of the cemetery. It wouldn't make sense that Onyx had time to go back to the house and still passed Becca up without seeing her to get to the church first.))

Almost... there... she was nearly to the church. Becca kept running, and running, but the church wasn't there. She was sure she'd been running in the direction of the church! She looked over her shoulder as a shadow disappeared. Becca's heart raced and she pushed forward.

She must be headed in the direction of the cemetery. There was no refuge there though. Damnit! Perhaps she could hide in the old windmill, or one of the tombs. But then what? God Becca just wanted to wake up now.

How strange she'd look; an angel in a torn and tattered dress with various bleeding scrapes and tattered wings. What did the others look like? Those at the party who didn't make it out? Becca felt a lump in her throat and tears in her eyes. Was she going to end up like them?

No, she wouldn't. Because she'd made it to the cemetery, and just ahead was a tome. She dodged the giant creepy headstones with their dulled and faded carvings. She was breathing hard as she reached the above ground tomb. It was cracked open, probably by some of those 'rebels' who liked to hang out in the cemetery for fun.

Becca slipped inside. The tomb was large enough. About three feet to the ceiling above her head, maybe nine feet long and six feet wide. There was a single stone 'casket' in the center. Becca shuddered. She couldn't think of that now. She pushed with all her strength against the stone door. Shut, please!

Varten reached down and picked up Cheshire. He shifted him into one hand and grabbed Kasimir with the other. Rushing back to the back door, the vampire took a route that would keep them from being spotted by any vampires that would be after them. Just before entering the kitchen, Varten spotted a black haired girl that he had thought looked familiar. Not thinking much on it as she was grabbing a purse he suddenly remembered her arriving with, he snuck around to the side door off of the dinning hall.

Cheshire was glad he was with his Varten again. He clung onto his shoulder for dear life as they sprinted through the shambled house. It would take forever for the vampire to repair, so Ches knew that he wasn't going to get much attention in the coming months. Of course they would have to get rid of the nasty werewolves first. Boy did Cheshire hate werewolves.

(( I'm going to assume that's my cue, if it isn't... it's too hard to resist! ))

It was cold and dark inside, not too mention tight. There was enough room for two people if you tried hard enough, but laying as he was.. there was only room for him. Whoever or whatever he was could not be discerned through the thick almost tangible darkness. Thought it was certain that he was contained for a long time, as his familiar prison has not be touched for a long long time.

The cold walls and the darkness was all he knew besides his dreamless eternal sleep. That is until something disturbed him, he didn't know what to think. There was something pulling at him. It was faint, and stayed faint for a long time, for how long he could not say but as time passed the pull grew stronger and stronger still. Whatever it was it was becoming intense and intense quickly. Curiosity was finding it's way in, and couldn't help but come out fully from his slumber.

He long felt it before he heard frantic heeled foot steps, followed by a 'Shut, please!'. What could this miraculously feeling be, and who or what was in his crypt? Ever so slightly, the figure in the stone casket moved the top quietly with his mind and peeked outside. His eyes widen at the site of what seemed to be a fallen angel, her dress and wings were torn... and before he saw it could smell the scent of blood upon her but something stronger was breaching his senses. This girls aura was extremely appealing, he never felt anything like this before.

Fear was emanating from her like freshly spilled blood in the air, and it excited him. Whether or not he wanted to control himself his eyes faintly glowed and he become aware of his fangs, and the familiar aching. Deciding to have some fun the vampire known as Aiden used his telekinesis to close the door she was so desperately trying to close.

((Lol, I tend to leave most of my posts open for anyone to hop in on. Welcome to the play!

I think we have one more character joining tonight or tomorrow. If anyone wants to add a character or kill one off, you're welcome to. Don't let me stop you from spicing things up!))

Finally, the door budged, and fully closed. Little did Becca know, it wouldn't be very hard for a creature of the night to open it again. Unfortunately, Becca had never believed in things like vampires and werewolves, so she knew little to nothing about them. The things she did know were from movies, and all movies were different.

She turned her back to the stone door, leaning against it. She hugged herself and shuddered. Where had Onyx gone? Did her best friend make it? Would she make it? Would whatever was following her in the forest be able to sense her, or smell her, or break down the door?

Becca realized she'd been squeezing her eyes shut, and finally she opened them. She might as well not have though, it was pitch black in the tomb. Once the door had shut, all light ceased to exist in the stone room. She blinked, trying to adjust her eyes to the darkness, but it was no use. No matter, at least she was safe here.

Carefully, so that she wouldn't tip over, Becca removed the white lace-up heels. Her ankles were aching. Heels were definitely not shoes meant to flee for your life in. She tied them together and dropped them on the floor beside her as her feet soaked up the welcomed feeling of the cold stone floor.

Still at the door, Becca listened for a moment, straining to hear sounds outside of the tomb that might let her know if she'd been found or not. Becca heard nothing. She decided she would wait, maybe just sleep here all night, until daylight when she was sure she would be safe. Daylight always meant safety right?

She closed her eyes again, back pressed to the wall, finally feeling all of the cuts and scrapes that littered her body. Her heart rate had calmed significantly as had her breathing. Becca was lost in thought. So vampires were real. Then werewolves were, too? She'd heard howling before, twice in the last thirty minutes alone. Could it have been a coincidence?

And Onyx's book, the one Becca had found at the trinket shop on the corner, was it real then, too? Then witches existed. And what else? Trolls and fairies and mermaids!? It was all so overwhelming. Becca was having a hard time believing it. In fact, she was pretty sure she was going crazy. Completely crazy. She'd probably wake up in the morning in a padded room.

Onyx hurriedly ran in, shut the door behind her, an locked it, leaning her head against the cool door. Surely she would be safe in the house of The Lord. But then again, who knew what was safe an wasnt with those creatures running amuck. This couldn't be happening. Creatures like those she had seen tonight weren't real, couldn't be real! They were made up myths to scare children from doing wrong. That's when she heard the mans voice.

"Th-thank you for opening the door. I don't know what's happening but I just..." That's when Onyx began to breakdown into tears. She cried for the safety of her home, the familiar clacking of her keyboard, the sound that came from her drain pipe in the morning, and most importantly, the safety of her best friend. The one person who understood Onyx the most. Becca made Onyx complete. And if something happened to Becca, Onyx wouldn't be able to keep living. That's how close they were.

After a good ten minutes, Onyx realized how stupid she must look, and quickly straightened up. Wiping the tears off her face, Onyx spoke. "I'm sorry. I must look like a fool. It's just, whatever those things are, they really scare me, and my best friends out there somewhere. I'm just really scared." Onyx looked at the ground feeling very small and weak compared to this man. Onyx squeezed her purse tight, feeling more and more anxious about the results of Becca.

Randolph, Lieutenant Smythe, drove towards the area where there had been several reports of screams. He had seen fliers about a party in the area earlier in the day, but as he had volunteered to work the night shift, hadn't paid much attention.,He suspected that it was just some overly loud party goers, but it needed to be investigated. It wasn't like there was much else going on, and he knew the Captain was giving him simple assignments until he had proven himself competent .

As Randolph approached the address of the party, he saw people running down the street, a few with apparent injuries. He quickly flipped on the siren and lights, and headed in the direction people seemed to be coming from, which led to the house he had been originally headed for anyway. As stopped the car, he checked that his gun was in its holster, and surveyed the situation before getting out of the car.

The porch steps appeared to be covered in blood and other things that do not belong outside a human body, and he saw a blood covered wolf heading up the steps. He swore, wishing he had brought his own ammo, instead of what was issued to him by the police department. If that was what he thought it was, normal ammunition would do no good. He still had a duty to protect the innocent, which meant that he had to find out if there was anyone left in the house to save. He pulled a silver cross from underneath the neck of his shirt, and got out of the car, dismissing the idea of calling for back up as only leading to more relative innocents being harmed. He aimed at the wolf, and called out "Here, Wolfy, Wolfy" his tone mocking.

Since the door of the crpyt was closed, there was no longer any light from outside creeping in. Though that did not matter to Aiden for he was a creature of the night and he can see through the darkness. He observed her alittle bit more, despite being dishelved she was quite pretty. He watched as she took of her heels, wonder what is going on outside to lead this stray angel into my care? he thought.

Aidens' eyes traveled to the large ruby that was her pendant, it looked so familiar to him but he could not place why. He moved the top half way off his casket and slipped out. Now that he was completely out in the open he could feel the womens aura tenfold, it was like it called out to him. He thoughts didn't take long to travel how might this wonderful angels' blood would taste in his mouth, as he ran his tongue of his fangs.

Aiden swiftly but silently closed in on her, her scent was wonderful. How long has it been since he last had a lady grace him with her presence? With a mischievous look on his face he playfully used his telekinesis to toss her shoes across the room. How cruel is it to frighten her or rather make her stand on edge just as she thought she was safe. Aiden moved back abit in case she decides to move, he doesn't want her bumping into him...yet.

Audrey's ears twitched, stopping just inside the doorway. She turned, a growl growing in her throat as her eyes locked onto what appeared to be a man in the yard. Well...a man all in one piece anyway. There were plenty of men on the lawn.

She turned to face the newcomer completely, ears erect and jowls pulled to reveal impressive and gore stained teeth as her growl rose to an aggressive snarl. She could barely catch his scent. The smell of eviscerated bats and humans was an intoxicating mixture that was clogging her nose rather well. It didn't really matter though. He had made the mistake of calling her out and staying in her direct sight.

She made her way back out onto the porch, snarling at the man in the blood swamped yard. With little caution, and little room to smell the silver on his body, she lunged off the porch, slamming into the ground before moving full tilt toward the policeman.

((Ok so yeah there was supposed to be some things with Nate here but it's late here and I'm tired. I'll do his bits later when I'm not tired and I'm actually feeling up to it.))

As the wolf stopped and looked back at him, Randolph felt his heartbeat speed up. In the few seconds before it turned to face him completely, he took in the bodies, and parts thereof scattered in the yard and internally flinched. He couldn't help feeling guilty. If he hadn't dismissed the reports of screaming as coming from a party that had gotten overly rambunctious, he might have been here in time to prevent at least some of the carnage.

He wondered if a single wolf, even a werewolf, could actually be responsible for this kind of body count in such a short time, but as the wolf turned and snarled at him, the blood matting its fur and staining its teeth told him that it was at least responsible for a part of the death count. When the wolf started moving towards him he took careful aim, hoping that bullets would at least slow it down a little. He knew his chances of surviving this encounter were not particularly good, but he was determined to fight, and if he was lucky he might drive the monster away to lick its wounds. At very least he would give anyone still trapped in the house the opportunity to flee while the creature was dealing with him.

As the wolf flew off the porch and headed towards him, he began to shoot, not with mindless panic, but methodically, aiming to for the eyes, believing that a good shot might temporarily blind his foe.

A slight sound? Becca looked up, eyes instinctively squinting into the darkness, though it didn't help. Had she heard something? Was her imagination playing tricks on her? No... In the next moment, there was quite a noise. The shuffle of her shoes being lifted from the floor beside her, and the clack of them hitting stone across the room.

Instinctively, Becca moved away from where her shoes had been, thinking someone, or something was there. How else would the shoes have moved like that? Her heart was racing once again and her breath hitched continuously as she tried not to breathe but was too worked up not to.

How could anything have even seen her shoes in this darkness!? Becca had put distance between her and the empty spot her shoes had once been. She wanted to call out, and ask who was there, but the though caused another spike in her adrenaline. At this rate, she'd pass out from fear, or die of heart attack. At least hopefully she wouldn't die of something awful, like being eaten by a werewolf or something.

Perhaps that was what had happened. The thing following her was in here with her! But how could that be possible? Becca didn't know, but she hadn't known any of the things that happened tonight were possible. So, maybe the thing, could move through walls... or something.

Finally, she was curious enough to have some courage, miniscule as it was. "Hello?" she asked quietly, fear evident in her shaky voice. "Is someone there?" she added in a whisper, not sure she actually wanted a response at all. She hoped Onyx wasn't having to feel this way at all, that her bestie was safe, and warm at home. That was all she truly wished for now, even over her own survival, which she was sure was a far away dream now.
