Pretty nice, took the day off from work so I mostly just lounged in front of the computer all day. :)

Yours?

Mostly quiet, I suppose. Though strong storms and winds fell the tree behind my house yesterday. The only thing keeping it up and not smashed through my house are the strong phone cables.

I hope they do too!
Called the firemen, the pushed it to the city council. The city council came, said they can't do anything, pushed it to the communication company. Now waiting for someone from the phone company to turn up to re-evaluate the damage and actions. >_>;

The best part of this Halloween or at least here on Mene to me is all the candy signatures. Want.

lol I only had two chocolates this morning, and it's not even Halloween anymore. Not much of a sweets person...but I liked seeing all the costumes and how festive everyone is.

Oh those are always cute too but people around me never dress up so I go full out and then there's everyone else. I like sweets too much haha I can't bake unless there are many others with me because I'll eat them all. I was really good today though and only had a few sweets!

No one around here dresses up unless it's a daycare for little kids. D: Halloween's not a part of the traditional culture.

Neither here.
Halloween is hardly a big deal, and no one goes trick or treating ever. It's too dangerous, you might get assaulted or screamed at.

lmao Same here. People would stare at you like you were crazy. Only little kids and their caretakers would do something like that to 'learn about different cultures' and all that.

Haha, I imagine it would be difficult for me. What kinds of programs would you be able to write with Java after you learn it? Like, what does it do?
UH.... all kinds of stuff. XD I'm still grasping what it can do and how to use it outside of the Command box (type cmd in your search on your computer and it should pop up). So... I'll find out in time!

Halloween was fun here. Went over to a friend's house that was more eager about all of it (her family didn't celebrate it when she was growing up). So we just hung around in the carport, ate food, and watched her and some other folks hand out candy to the kids.
As stated by people that have lived here longer, had some Turkish kids come, some were dressed up and some weren't, but they were still young so, they gave them candy. But we had a few groups of "kids" come asking for candy, no costume or anything. Just walking around in regular clothes. They turned those "kids" away. XD

Ooh, tell me about it after you learn! I'm curious to know if you could write gaming programs and stuff with it.

I think it's within the same family, but still very different. Since I'm not going to school for game design or programming, I doubt my book will go into it in that direction. It has chapters on images, applets, sounds, etc...
But I do happen to have a Java for game programming book!

Aww, it would've been fun if you had to design a game and stuff. Is it kind of like Flash?
