That's for sure. >.>

My ex had a similar issue when we were dating. He dropped his phone and the screen cracked/went black so he couldn't use a lot of aspects of it. It was some sort of expensive Android, though, so he had to just live with it for awhile.

A lot of people crack their iPhone screen and just have to keep using it for the same reason.

Get your mum a Lumia 920. I heard it was tough as nails, just like its "ancestor".

I don't think my mom would know how to use Android. It took her a while to figure out the iPhone with my help so she would probably need some lessons or something on how to use it. ^^;

I've never broken a phone or anything electronic. We never had much money, so when we get something like that we take care of it pretty well. Considering what it would cost us to get it replaced.

I just have one of those prepaid trac-phones, anyway. I hate talking on the phone. I prefer skype. I feels less awkward for some reason. Even if my webcam isn't working right now.

I've never broken a phone, including smartphones. But I always get really hardcore cases that are touted as indestructible or whatever so that I can avoid damage. I certainly have dropped phones but I've only ever cracked a protective case. Generally I don't break my electronics except through typical wear-and-tear.

The one exception is headphones, but I'm convinced that they're all cheaply-made (even the "expensive" ones). I follow all of the normal rules about how to take care of the cords by not twisting them or wrapping them tightly, and they'll still break. The headphones I have now have lasted me over a year, so that's a new record.

Ah yes, I have trouble with headphones as well. There's really only a certain kind I like and it's very difficult to find that style.
