Hiya hummy!

Not too bad - glad the snow finally stopped! I'm supposed to return to work tomorrow so I wasn't looking forward to having to clean snow off the car twice. I got most of it cleaned off today (killed though - there was over a foot of snow and ice) - I'm hoping it'll melt some in the morning sun though. Then as long as it doesn't start snowing again, and it shouldn't because it's SUPPOSED to be clear all week, I'll be good lol

Thank you! Luckily I'm just in two buildings tomorrow and it's one of my half days, then luckily I have a day off in between my 9-5 days so that'll make things a little easier getting back into the swing of things and seeing how much I can tolerate! I'll just be happy when I'm completely healed - gallbladder surgery wasn't supposed to be this intense, but my 1 hr surgery turned into 3 because my gallbladder was so bad - I'm assuming there was a lot of extra trauma that is causing the slow recovery and prolonged pain :( At least each day I'm slowly progressing in the right direction and my bosses are amazing and will work with me while I recover! It makes things so much easier! Other than the fact that I get paid by the hour, so if I don't work I don't get a paycheck.. so ya know xD;

I really should be analyzing court cases right now but my brain needed a break

Very minimal, despite my efforts :(
If I don't move much, or when I first wake up in the morning after sleeping, I'm pretty much okay and can tolerate the small stuff. But if I do too much, and typically by the time I go to bed after being up all day, I'm pretty sore and have trouble moving around. I'm still putting pressure on the trauma area when I move because otherwise it feels like it's pulling - which is why I'm thinking there was more trauma than expected and it's taking longer to heal - if I brace it it's not as painful, but if I let my abdomen muscles do all of the work then it's pretty uncomfortable and gets worse over the course of the day. :(

OOOHHH!!!! With the robot! They never called it that so I was super confused LOL They just said they were using the robot!! But yeah - they did 4 incisions and then a pinhole to inject the air! :3

So much for everyone telling me in a week they were fine, two weeks and they were lifting like normal.
That kind of makes me feel a bit better though - everyone is like IT'S SO EASY and I'm just like... No... no it's not. I'm dying... Legit dying... and it's been 2 weeks....

and if you are GOOD it may take less time.
but honestly it's about a month.

Yeah you're looking at more 8 weeks post op before doing any lifting. That's what HIM was told after they removed the angry angry appendix.

Very very angry!
They put me on strong antibiotics for a few days after as precaution because it was so bad - had minor fevers for about a week and a half after :(

You're in and out of hospital quicker with keyhole but it's best to take it easy as everything still has to heal.

It was going to be exploratory because HIM didn't have any of the classic appendicitis symptoms but they were going to rob HIM of the appendix if it hadn't have been anyway. We'll have your appendix as a souvenir.
