No, finals aren't till early May, I'm working on my second round of midterms atm.

Well then, here's to hoping that those members of your family come to some form of their senses. I know how stressful that can be when people won't help themselves and won't let anyone else help them either.

I'm almost at Finals and not looking forward to it. I have to try to get an incomplete in one of my courses and focus on 2 of my classes till the end of the semester, then work on the last class.

Hope some of your family comes to their senses as well, it's no good for everyone around who cares and wants to help yet they don't take the help.

How bad/stressful are finals anyway? Like when I have to take them will I have a nervous breakdown?

Hopefully my grandmother will start listening. But she's so incredibly stubborn. Hopefully her doctors will set her right, and I found some information on the interwebs that I'm going to print and send to her. If it was me, having more information would make me feel a little better, but I don't know if anything is going to help her. She's basically given up already. As for my dad, I just can't worry about him. He's being completely nuts about this stuff. I'm just praying that the VA will get their freaking asses in gear and get his surgery done before he tries this whole "escape" plan.

I'm actually having nervous breakdowns since this has been the hardest semester for me academic-wise. I've also begun to seek therapy on campus. You, probably not. I'm doing Grad school and at this point, the finals I flipped out for when I was getting my undergrad degree were nothing. You'll be fine. ^^

Part of the information is for my mom, its supposed to be information for caregivers. The thing in my sig that says F☠CK CANCER links to the site that I found all the information on. They have like pamphlets on several different topics that you can either save as a PDF or they send it to you via snail mail for free. My dad is just....frustrating. I just don't know what the hell he's thinking with this whole "I'm gonna live in the woods" b.s.

@Kita: The difficulty level of finals depends on a lot of variables. Like how many you have in one day, whether or not they're cumulative, how far along you are in college, and exactly how much of a bastard your professor is.

Generally they're not any different from the other tests throughout the semester, so you can judge how difficult it will be by them...but if it's cumulative...there might be nervous breakdowns, not gonna lie. Especially if your grade in the class depends on it.

Oh yeah, and if they're departmental finals or if they're ones that the professor him/herself pulled out of their asses the week before.

I still hope that when I'm in college I'll have all awesome professors, but realistically I know that I'm gonna probably get stuck with at least one asshole.

I'm going to go ahead and say goodnight, but I don't know for sure that I'm going to bed, so I might be back.

I had a few awesome professors at the community college, a few really awesome professors at the school I finished my bachelor's at. Here at grad school, I've had more shit professors than I have ever had in awhile.. One of whom I am taking a class with now. Ugh.

I haven't had any particularly shit professors at this college, I've just been having difficult classes unfortunately. And I've been burnt out and depressed because of that. It's a vicious neverending cycle.

I have a bio test tomorrow. I will be studying some more for it tonight and hopefully do well on it.

Yeah, dunno how good the time will do me. I already studied a LOT. All I can do is go over it again.

Sounds like me. I know the materials, and yet I still sit there at some of the tests going "what the hell is this stuff on the paper?" "Did he even teach this?!"

Exactly! It's like I read my notes a million times last night I never saw this XP It's just the pressure of the test that makes my brain shut down to, in a normal conversation I can reguritate all of it just fine

Yeah, that happens to me a lot in these extremely difficult tests. That test I genuinely only glanced at the notes, though, so I'm quite worried about it. >.>

Ach, I doubt it. I suppose I could ask if I flunk it because I did have a valid reason of this crazy ass test in Bio, but usually profs don't take those kinds of excuses. "You've known you've had these tests for weeks" and all that rot. Yes. Well. These bio tests don't let you study for much else when they're coming up, kay.
