Hi, everyone! Well, I don't go on Menewsha actively anymore. Actually, I'm on Maplestory now lololol. My guild and I just made a myspace and I suggested we get guild art, so uh. yeah. End of story. OwO;; Yeah, that's just basically an explanation of why I'm getting art. And because my sister l-o-v-e-s art. Plus, I'm sure a lot of others out there would like items that I have and I don't get on Menewsha anymore, so why not just make some other artist happy? ;c

RULES && INFO
(i might come off as very strict and picky with my art, but i really am not! the artist has plenty of freedom to experiment.)
1. before you enter this contest, you must sign up! applications are posted below.
2. important dates are also posted below! i'm expecting high quality art, so i'm trying to give artists a good time frame to finish the art. especially since i'm ordering group art/couples mostly.
3. i am not picky, but i do NOT want trashy art that a 5 year old could throw together in 10 mins. i'm not trying to insult anyone's art, but i'm tired of holding contests on other sites and having 100+ 10 second doodles entered because the artist thinks that QUANTITY > QUALITY, WHICH IS NOT TRUE.
4. QUALITY > QUANTITY. I cannot stress this enough. I'd rather have one AMAZING piece than 5 okay pieces.
5. if you can't finish art before a deadline, let me know! send me a wip and we'll work it out from there. do not be stressed about finishing on time, though! if i really like it, i'll give you plenty of time to work on it.
6. please make sure you read all my rules! in your app, please mention your favorite food.
7. please respect my rules in this thread. treat others the way you'd like to be treated. scratch that. treat others the way i want them to be treated -- with kindness and respect!
8. do NOT enter another artist's art. and I mean DO NOT! if they want to enter this contest, tell them to enter themselves. no mene account? it's free! tell them to go make one.
9. be considerate of others art! i know i sound harsh when i say i don't want bad art, but don't comment on any other person's art if it's not positive!
10. you may enter more than one piece in as many categories as you like.

what kind of art am I looking for?

3. bright, happy, sunshiney, rainbows, bunnies. lolol okay not serious. but you get the picture. i want it happy.
4. i want color.
5. no black and white line art. actually, no plain line art.
6. fullbody preferred. waist up at the bare minimum.
7. i love chibis. i love cute. i love cute chibis.
8. if it's chibi, then it must be fullbody.

here's how the prizes work: 1st place winners choose from 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes. 2nd place winners choose from 2nd or third place prizes. 3rd place winners choose from 3rd place prizes. The higher you place, the more you have to choose from.

in order of which winner picks first, it's category 1 > category 2 > category 3.

so category 1 1st place choose first, then category 2 1st place, then category 3 first place, then category 1 2nd place, then category 2 2nd place, etc etc. Understand? uh. yeah.

I look forward to the references being up... Though I'm a bit worried, but I can draw a wip before that date as long as the refs are posted this weekend. might not be the most detailed, but yeah ^^

If I had refs, I would join. It seems a little senseless to have the application date over before you even show us what you want us to draw. I suggest extending the dates and getting the refs up ASAP. I will keep checking back, I'd like to see the characters and maybe enter.

This contest seems to be a bit too demanding of it's participants, especially since they had to have applied and then meet wip dates.
Probably won't get many quality entries you wanted because of these deadlines. Which is unfortunate.
