I have been a fan of Nightwish (popular in the eastern countries) since I was like 13! I was wondering if you guys herd/like this band? Also do you like the old singer or the new singer? I personally like the old singer better, Tarja, but the new singer is really good to! tbh it seems to be getting popular...

The only Nightwish song I've ever liked was actually Amaranth. I've not really heard many of the others, though. :)

Its a good band! you should check it out.

Try listening to Planet hell, The riddler, or Sahara. Very good songs.

Nightwish is actually my favorite band, and the one that inspired me the most to start writing my own songs and poetry a few years ago.

I like both singers, too... which is apparently kind of rare, because most people seem to prefer Tarja a lot more than Annette.

Most of the bands I listen to aren't well-known in the U.S., either. Practically all of the bands that I listen to are European... I don't really like American music. It's always seemed a little strange to me that there are practically no American symphonic metal bands.

Most people know of Nightwish. I don't really think they're anything special but I definitely prefer Annette. Tarja's not bad, she just gets annoying after more than two songs in a row.

Amaranth is probably my favorite song. All the ones I like best have Annette's vocals.

OMG I love Nightwish! It's one of my favorite bands. My favorite songs by them are Elvenpath, Sleeping Sun, Bye Bye Beautiful, The Phantom of the Opera, Escapist, Wish I Had an Angel, Walking in the Air, and Nemo.

I'm not a huge Nightwish fan, but I've definitely got a lot of bands in mind when it comes to underrated in America...

They're quite popular here but then again, the radio plays them a lot.

I have yet to meet someone who doesn't know who Nightwish is either.

I personally love Defiance Ohio. Every time I mention them people are like "Who?". I also love This Bike is a Pipebomb although I'm not too sure if I would consider their music anything special musically.
