Someone should make a veggie thread just to combat all the cookie threads~

I prefer reading because then it's easier to do the writing assigned on the subject. I remember the information better.

But it's an art history class I took willingly and I find the information interesting~ Did you know Vincent Van Gogh had an interest in Japanese art and liked the culture? He said in a letter that he made his eyes slightly Japanese in a self-portrait.

I love reading more than watching videos. In 12th grade all the teachers did was show us videos thinking "Oh they have had to do work all their little lives so let's make it easy on them!" Sure for some it was good but it was plane boring for my friends and I we just started drawing or writing and not paying attention to the movies.

That would be fun, but videos often come with notes for that reason. D: Video notes are the worst, especially if the questions are not in order!

The worst thing our teachers didn't have us do anything. Our school was falling apart so our teachers didn't really care what they taught us. It was a horrible time.

No just the principal and vice principal were fired and new teachers were brought in and money was shifted to the departments that were needed fixing.

aww... that sounds bad... just how bad?
Sports team not doing well is fine.
My definition of bad is... when the school si not functioning well and turn into a gangster place.

Not gangster but no one was going to class we all just hung out and did our own work at least the kids that wanted some sort of education. I was part of the creative writing group and anime group. In classes all you did was watch movies or read magazines...

I think it is still okay, of course not the best school.
But that also depends on how you define school. Some people really just treat it as a social spot.

I don't like the institution of school. Going to a crowded building and sitting in a room and learning things you may or may not use… And developing skills you can't see the purpose of. There has to be some better way for this to be done.

I agree Amanene.
In the future, when I teach my children. I would show them all kinds of occupations they can do. And base off from their interest and skill and preferred dreams of occupation, I will design subjects/classes for them. Very... interest/occupation base.

I think math should stop being required once you get to high school. Elementary school teaches survival math, middle school teaches weird but useful math, and high school math is so obscure you could go your entire life and not use it!
