Finger-tapping - The action of cupping one's hands together and hitting the fingertips of corresponding fingers of each hand against each other.

It only works if it's really loud.
If you line your hands up right (so that the "balls" of your hand -the upper, raised portion of your palm- hits the middle of your palm) it's really loud because you get the most contact that way, rather than lining your hands up perfectly. If you do it right, it can echo a bit in most medium to small rooms. XD
It's a handy talent to have. Gets attention. Works well on dogs, too.

I prefer blunt knives, myself. It doubles as a meat tenderizer!
