It would be a slim chance though. I really don't know how he would react. Maybe you should converse with the developers about it?

Actually - I think even if people aren't falling all over themselves with the idea - I'll be hosting the Birthday Cake Contest. :) So please put that down as confirmed. :)

I'm PMing back and forth with jelly. She said they MAY plan something small, but would be hard to do so soon after the christmas event. So i've proposed that they let us throw them the party (let us do all the planning) and see if we could get them to make the one or two winning pixel items to be actual items.

It would probably be best if each planned event or contest was run by a separate user. Ie: I run the Birthday Cake Contest, someone else runs the Masquerade, someone else runs the Item Suggestion Contest, and what-not. That way things don't get too out of control for each person.

I would suggest rather strongly that no more than two events/major Anniversary threads run by each person stepping up to become involved in organizing this. But one would be better because it allows more people who want to do something in a leadership position to have one. :)

I have a suggestion for the item contest... Have two separate categories: pixel entries and drawn entries. :3

If there is a contest to make the pixelated items, I hope there are specific rules that they need to be anniversary themed.

I'd love something Yumi-related.

Maybe we can have some of our more *cough* wealthier members get together and have a few of the CI's be prizes for some of our contests. I'll hold onto a winters flight or two, and maybe whatever the December items are and donate those for a contest.

@all the item stuff going on: Jelly said we can't design an item to be used, which i think is fair, so lets focus on stuff to do and how to do it.

@CK: If you want to type up rules or whatever you want, i'll go ahead and put that into one of the reserved posts. I'm thinking like art contests and stuff can go in one post, smaller in event events in another, etc. what do you think?

I'll want to make the Birthday Cake contest its own thread at some point (because I assume in the next few months this thread will get pretty long!), but I will write up something about what the rules and prizes will be so people can already start thinking about what they'd like to do. :3

I think keeping all the plans in THIS thread to start off with is good and a month or so before the event, move the different user-events into their own threads. That way we don't have a thousand threads floating around before the event. XD

I would like to run the pixel art item contest.

I know the winner won't be turned into an actual item but I would like to run it.

I would offer a small gold prize for the winners. But if anyone help me with the gold prizes would be a god send.

I was think of the amount of enterance determines the amount of winners.

For example, if 2 dozen people enetered, he would be one 1st prize, one 2nd prize and one 3rd prize. However if there was 5-6 dozen enteries there would be one 1st prize, two 2nd prize and three 3rd prize.

Also I was thinking of roping someone to make some offical awards the winners could show in their siggy.
