He smiled at Felix when he sat down on the bed next to him, he searched his blankets for the tv remote. After a little time of searching Matt turned on the tv with the remote, changed the channel and laid it between them. He turned his attention to Felix and spoke softly, he still was trying to learn volume control on the tv. Not being able to hear it was always on a very low setting or muted. "If you want sound, feel free to turn it up." He told Felix rather nervously realizing how close he really was.

Matt turned his attention to the controller he held within his hands, it was still odd having someone over at his house but it was kind of nice finally having someone over that wasn't a cousin. He looked at his friend when he saw his lips move and his smile returned but more boyish then anything. "Alright. Prepare to lose horribly." He said picking on Felix. It was very easy to crash with the settings he put on it, made the game allot harder and more realistic in his view. He set up the game for them to play and picked his favorite car; the 'vampiric' car. There were others that were really detailed like the one he chose but he preferred this one the best.

Felix nodded with a small smile and reached down to turn the volume up 'til the sounds of race cars filled the basement. In the brunette's case it was more like the crunching and screeching sounds of a car crashing into everything. He was less then skilled with racing games, and on this level he was quite frankly a dunce. With a mischevous look, he leaned to the side and bumped his shoulder into his friend's. Of course that made him distracted and caused another crash on his part, but that phased him not a bit.

"Come on, take it easy and let me at least get used to the controls before making me lose so embarrassingly." That was probably an understatement. As he shifted upon the bed, Felix sent Matt a rather sheepish smile.

Matt was driving really slow, well it was slow to him so Felix could keep up with him. He chuckled as he watched his friend crash into everything, he could just imagine the sounds of the car. It kind of made him sad however, seeing the fully customized car turned into multiple pieces scattered a crossed the road. He barely moved under the touch of Felix's shoulder, he chuckled lightly at it and turned to his friend. "When you round a corner, remove your finger from the gas and turn the joy stick in the opposite direction. Left is right and vise-versa." He told his friend trying to help him out, Matt wasn't really into racing for sport but more as a learning experience.

Matt just shook his head at his friend before turning back to the game, he started to drive like he normally did on there; leaving Felix and the NPC's in his dust. He rarely used the nitro he had in the car leaving most to think the car didn't have any, he would always leave it for the last mile of the race but only when he was about to lose. Mostly it was with his cousins, they always tried to beat him to prove they were better.

The young man didn't care all that much for his car. It was blue, and very loud as well as quite flashy. It started flying around corners after Felix heeded his friend's advice, only to cause a spectacular pileup with nearly all the NPCs. That made even Felix's face fall. Ease upon the stage certainly didn't translate to ease with video games.

"I'm really bad at this, aren't I?" He tilted his head to the side and put the controller upon the bed as he turned to Matt with a tiny frown. Part ploy to see how the other boy would react, part truth, Felix knew that he truly was horrid at the game. Even so, his eyes watched Matt playing said game with more then a little hint of admiration.

Matt just looked at his friend after the pileup, he smiled trying to hold back a laugh. He put the race back at the car selection scene, he turned to his friend and smiled. "Well that car you picked was my cousin's, he sucks at customizing cars. I'll make you one and you can customize the paint." He told his friend, he opened the garage of the game to begin and with a few seconds he made a car for Felix.

"You aren't bad at this game, you just need a car to fit your style." He handed him the controller, "Here, try it out. Let me know if it feels odd, I'll adjust it to your style." He told Felix, he would watch how he handled the control and adjust the controls to his hand movements. The unpainted car was on a trial track so Matt could see how he handled it. That was the good thing about being a game/mechanical nerd, he could make a car to fit anyone.

For a moment he looked at Matt with a rather lost look before giving a shrug. Soon the car was racing around the track, still swerving with Felix's exaggerated hand movements, and yet not quite crashing. Instead it tended to screech against the walls of the track in a way that made Felix scrunch up his face comically.

Finally done with it, he handed the controller over to Matt. "Well, that was definitely better. But I'm still just as bad ..." That is to say, Felix couldn't help but want to be as good as his friend so he could compete on equal footing. He would have said more if his hand hadn't brushed against Matt's, causing him to blush slightly and turn away with a quick shift of his body.

Matt laughed softly at Felix's facial expressions, but kept a eye on the hand movements his friend was making. He made mental notes on how to adjust the car's handling for him, he watched the tv with the corner of his eyes. He was handling the car pretty good but it still needed work. He could tell that Felix wasn't use to the game with the hand movements he was making but in time he would bet he could be better at it.

He never took the smile off his face when Felix handed him the controller. Matt blushed lightly and saw that Felix had as well when their hands brushed against each other's. He adjusted himself, hoping that Felix didn't see his blushing face before he finally managed to talk. "No you're not, just need a little tweaking on the car." He told Felix as he returned to the garage to make the tweaks for Felix. Once done, he placed the car back on the track and handed the controller to Felix to test it.

The young man thought he caught sight of a blush, but let it slide. It was probably just wishful thinking upon his part. Felix couldn't dare imagine that his crush was a mutual one... The disasters such thoughts could lead to terrified him! "Still, do you think we can play something else after this?" He was beginning to tire of it already, but if Matt still wanted to play he wouldn't argue.

With a smile of thanks he plucked the controller up and began to make his car race around the track once more. It was much smoother, and Felix was even beginning to get used to the game. Still, it wasn't nearly as fun as the games he usually played, not in his opinion.
