As the school bell rung, John slammed his locker shut and closed his eyes, trying to remember if there was any homework he had missed from last night. Play practice went way longer than anyone would've liked. Stupid directors.

Finx barely made it to school again she sighed "I hate this." she said to no one. She always had to miss the bus because her mom needed her help getting for work and then she had to bike the five miles up hill to the school.

John shouldered his backpack and winced at the weight. "I wonder if I have any study halls today."

Finx was going so fast she didn't see John till the last second and crashed into him sending books and papers everywhere. "Ow"

John groaned as his papers went everywhere. "Sorry, that's my fault." he said quickly, picking up his books.

"No it was my fault should have been watching were I was going." Finx said helping him collect his stuff as well as sorting it out from her own books.

John blinked, he had never seen this girl before. It was a small school, but it wasn't impossible. "Thanks." he said, picking up his bio textbook.

"I really am sorry." Finx said then hurried off in the direction of her locker and threw everything but the books she needed into it then ran like hellhounds were after her barely making into class before the final bell.

John ran to his first class, ignoring the fact he probably looke weird.

Finx was scolded several times that day for not having done her homework it was hard when it was just her and her mom. They moved alot to because of her moms job so this was the first school she had been to for more then a week. She had done the homework she had just forgotten it at home.

John had gotten out of class to go around the school and take pictures for a photography project. He took his time, meandering through the halls like a ghost.

Finx was taking the walk of shame to the principals office seemed you could only go so long without turning in you're homework. It also didn't help that she had corrected the teacher.

John saw the girl he had seen earlier walking through the halls. He looked down the hall where she was going, and that the principal's office was the only one left. "In trouble?" he asked, calling down the hall.

"Yep." Finx said with a smile at the boy from earlier "And its not even lunch time yet. Got to be a new record." she laughed.

John smirked. "You get in trouble often, I guess."

"I tends to happen everyonce and a while." Finx said "Though I have gotten better the last school I was in I left without the principal even nowing my name by heart."
